Chapter 56
Reyna woke up to the wind cold on her face and her feet freezing. She looked down and her feet were bare, where were her shoes? And were was Miran? They had gone to Vito's restaurant and she must have slept there. But none of that explained what she was doing outside without shoes.
She didn't recognize where she was and no white houses could be seen around. Maybe this was just none of her vivid dreams and Izzy or one of her many versions would appear and give her a clue to something or leave her with more questions that she had before.
The night wasn't as cold as the ones she was used to in her realm but it was still cold enough to freeze her toes numb. She thought of climbing one of the trees around that was tall enough to let her see where she was. Just as she moved a step towards one of them, a very familiar voice came from behind her.
"You shouldn't sleep so deeply mortal girl. Anything can happen if you do, you know."
