Chapter 2 - System Store and Basics.

Next Morning.

Miyuki and Tatsuya were sitting in the courtyard. After Miyuki told Ziyun about her being a Bronze fighter last night her mission advanced. Not only did she get her rewards but also opened the system store.

She was shocked when she saw the system store that's why she came to Tatsuya's courtyard first thing in the morning. Tatsuya was currently reading the book that Miyuki got as her reward.

"I thought there might be something like system store, I was expecting something completely different," Tatsuya said while looking at the screen.

"Not only that system store only opened when I advanced the mission but our contribution points are different. Mine is 1/1000 while yours are already 701/1000. If so in the future we might not unlock a new future unless we both fill the contribution bar." Miyuki knitted her brows. She wasn't worried that Tatsuya would hold her back rather she was worried she would hold him back.

If this was in their previous world she might have acted dumb and clumsy and let Tatsuya explain everything to her. She thought if he ever thought she is adept.

He would think that she doesn't need him anymore and might leave her. But, here in an unknown world, she didn't have to act like that anymore. Rather she would only be a burden if she acted the same way.

"Since the progress is dependent on cognition then maybe the contribution awarded is also dependent on that. Right now less than five people know about me becoming an apprentice."

"There was an increase of 201 points since yesterday. So 200 is from city lord while 1 is from Ziyun?"

"Probably, I want to confirm does the contribution points that someone gives is dependent on their post or powers."

"Ziyun might be a good reference point. If I don't tell anyone about my powers for now and train Ziyun until she becomes a 1-Star Fighter. We can tell if the points we get through her cognition differ or not."

Tatsuya shook his head "What if it still didn't change because we are the only one who would know that she became a 1-Star Fighter."

"Onii-Sama, There are many ifs we should be more patient."

"You are right. It's just that I don't like the fact that I understand nothing about the system and it could put you in danger at any time."

Miyuki had a small blush on her face as she hugged his hand while having a blissful smile on her face "I am so happy that even now Onii-Sama worries about me."

Tatsuya had a soft look in his eyes as he looked at her smiling "I will always worry about you"

They sat there feeling the breeze while looking at the rising sun.

After a few minutes, Tatsuya broke the silence.

"Miyuki, what do you think about the system store"

Miyuki looked at the store with a confused expression "It's great just..."

The store was great. She had read novels about the system before.

They were old novels when the genre was really popular. She was also expecting something like that. Great items, Rare Items, Godly Items.

There were some like that too but there was one thing that disturbed her.

"There are only 6 Worlds to choose from," Tatsuya said as he looked at the Status Screen. At the bottom, there was a Store Icon and Inside Store, there were 6 Icons.

"Magician's Earth should be our world while the from the contents for sale Divine Continent should be where we are" Miyuki had gone through the store last night and looked through the contents with great details while making future plans.

"But that also means we are not the only ones who were kidnapped from our world."

"Onii-Sama you also think that people from Gaia and Soul Society might have been thrown in EoS and Kaguya's Sanctuary?"

"That would be the case if we follow the pattern. Not only that but many contents from Divine Continent has been hidden." He clicked at the Divine Continent Folder. Inside were basic things that you could buy in the market or things that could be found in the library.

Other than that there was a Note at the bottom.

#Progress with the Main Mission to Unlock more Items.

"I doubt the other 2 groups have progressed so much that they unlocked all the items. Most likely the items are blocked from our view so we don't take an easy route. Otherwise buying a precious cultivation technique and spreading it would let us gain enough contribution." Miyuki sighed while she thought 'It would be good if things were that easy. I would be able to spend more time with Onii-Sama.'

"That is not a bad idea. Here we might be able to use this." Tatsuya pointed at one particular Item.

"Onii-Sama, don't you think it is impossible for us to buy. Isn't there anything else we could afford?"

"I saw quite a few items. We could even afford an abridged version of some. Like this 1 Tomoe Sharingan. It only costs 500 System Coins but this cannot be popularized. There are a lot of blood transplantation methods like Jenova cells, Hashirama Cells, Otsutsuki Cells but all of them go for the sky-high price."

Tatsuya had looked but he didn't find any good foundation techniques that they could popularize to gain contribution points. Since the only way, he found to earn coins was to exchange with contribution points.

1 contribution could be exchanged for 1 system coin.

"It seems that arts from soul society are soul-based arts. Demon Spiritualist cultivate Soul Realm and Soul Force. While Fighters train their body but exercising alone shouldn't make them so strong. Most likely it has something to do with the fact that Soul force is in the air too. So, something like Hakuda and Kido would be most beneficial for us."

"Onii-Sama, have you found a way to get more points?" Miyuki had great trust in Tatsuya's abilities. If he was ignoring the points then he must have found a way to get some points.

"You didn't read this, did you? If you did you wouldn't be asking that" Tatsuya said while waving the Basic Cultivation Book.

Miyuki had an embarrassed smile on her face "Sorry, Onii-Sama I fell asleep."

Tatsuya patted her head with a small smile "It's ok now that we have a body of 6 years old it's understandable that you got so tiers."

"Onii-Sama what is in the book?"

"It's the basics of cultivation. I thought it would be about cultivation before the bronze realm but it seems Legend is just a basic stage."

Miyuki made a surprised face while putting her tiny hands in front of her mouth "I heard that Glory City is the last line of defense of the human race and the strongest Demon Spiritualist is only Legend rank."

"That surprised me too. This world became much more mysterious and dangerous. If Legend is just a basic stage then there should have been more demon beast above that stage. Something is weird but I don't think we should be focusing on that right now. We are still too weak."

Tatsuya continued while turning to the last page "Here there seems to a foundation cultivation technique. Unlike others, it grants no benefits other than that everyone can cultivate it and everyone will have the same speed of progress."

"It says that progress will be slow," Miyuki said while reading the next line.

"Look at upper left corner."

Miyuki looked at the upper left corner of the page she saw a few small characters that looked like a note.

Miyuki stood up in surprise "Could it be?"

Tatsuya looked at the calm blue sky and said "Children cannot cultivate because their bodies are not strong enough. 13 is the age that children can start cultivating from. Before that, they cannot cultivate since their bodies won't be able to take the load. You are just 6 yet you got this reward."

"I understand, so this must be safe to allow children to practice."

"Most likely it uses most of the soul force absorbed to gently strengthen the body. While only a small amount of soul force would be collected by the soul realm. But because of the gentle method, it wastes too much soul force so there isn't much strengthening. At the same time, it doesn't help much with the soul realm either."

"That's why it is basically a useless technique for adults but a priceless treasure for children. Onii-Sama do you want to give this to city lord now or maybe you will accidentally find about this while translating books." Miyuki asked with a mischievous voice.

Tatsuya smiled as he shook his head "You know me the best. I will wait a few months and translate this from the ancient text."
