Chapter 38

During the 10 days that passed Fran spent all the time he could with Hana after his training. But now it's his rest day so Fran spends his time with Hana since it was his rest day.

Fran: "Is there anything you want to do Hana?"

Hana: "There's a spot in the mountains with flowers blooming. Let's go there for a picnic."

Hana was wearing a summer dress with a sun hat since she had planned on going there today.

Fran: "Ok let's go buy some food for it then."

They go shopping for food then head to the mountain where they will have their picnic. It takes them about an hour to reach it.

Hana when she gets there let's go of Fran's hand that she had been holding since the start and runs around the flowers. She was enjoying herself.

Fran: "Be careful you don't want to fall off the edge of it."

Hana: "Don't worry so much, it'll be fine. I've come here multiple times when I had free time. Besides, you'll save me anyways, right."

She had a teasing tone of voice and it showed on her face as well through her smile.

Fran: "No promises but I'll try my best if it comes to it. But anyways, what do you want to eat first?"

Hana: "A sandwich."

Fran: "Ok come over here and get it."

After they finish eating they spend their time with some idle talk and enjoying the view. Once the sun was setting they started to pack up their stuff so they could leave. But when they were packing their stuff Fran was staring at the sunset and it gave him a certain thought and urge to do something.

Fran: " Hana I want to ask you something."

She was picking up the stuff but she turned to face him with a confused face.

Hana: "What is it?"

Fran: "You know that I'm leaving soon right."

When he said that she it took her a while but she forced out the words " Yes."

Fran: "I was wondering if you wanted to come with me when I leave. After being around you for my time staying here I don't want to be without you. Would you be willing to come with me and be by my side as I participate in the war."

She dropped what she was holding and ran to him and jumped into his arms.

Hana: "Yes I want to go with you anywhere is fine as long as I can be with you I don't mind. Also it's a selfish request of mine but could I also join the war with you? I won't be any help with battles but I want a wish of mine granted."

Fran: That's fine by me but I don't know how to do that, do you know?"

Hana: "No."

Fran: "Well I'll ask Bon to help us with that then. We'll be leaving in a week so be ready to leave by then."

Once they finished packing they headed back to the village while Hana held onto his arm with a peaceful smile on her face.
