On a Friday morning, **Alex Grant**, who was on a bus heading to school, was left somewhat stunned by the sudden voice that rang in his head.

Just as he thought he was experiencing an auditory hallucination, Alex suddenly noticed that the other passengers on the bus all had similarly bewildered and uncertain expressions on their faces.

Could it be that I wasn't the only one who heard that voice? Did everyone else hear it too?

Just as Alex began to form this shocking guess, he was surprised to find that a data page had inexplicably appeared in his mind!

The data page was very simple, with only three sections: Characters, Items, and Quests. In the Items section, there was a red gift pack.

"Would you like to use the initial gift pack?"

"Yes!"

As soon as Alex focused his attention on the gift pack, a dialog box popped up. Curious about what was inside, he quickly chose to open it.

However, to Alex's slight disappointment, the gift pack only contained two items: a 'Blessing Stone' that shimmered like the stars and a brown scroll.

**Blessing Stone:**

- Description: A special stone engraved with a powerful godly blessing. When used, there is a chance to inherit the power of an N-level deity, with a very small chance of inheriting the power of an R-level deity.

- Duration: 24 hours.

**Quest Scroll - "Prologue":**

- Description: After Earth was chosen as a game world, a large number of powerful invaders appeared. To resist these foreign threats, the people of Earth rose up in rebellion, and the game war sweeping the globe has begun!

- Quest Requirement: Survive the first week of the invasion.

- Scroll Effects:

The scroll's effects were incredibly luxurious. Additionally, Alex noticed that his "Points" in the Items section, which was originally at zero, had suddenly jumped to 3000.

Based on his extensive gaming experience, Alex guessed that "points" were probably the currency of this game world.

"Look! There are so many shooting stars in the sky!"

Before Alex could investigate further, exclamations and screams erupted from both inside and outside the bus. Many people on the bus and on the road outside were staring up at the sky in shock.

The monsters were over a meter tall, with thick, muscular legs and bloated bodies covered in disgusting blue tumors. Their arms were shaped like the scythes of the Grim Reaper, and a casual swing of these limbs could easily slice through a car's metal frame!

The sudden appearance of these monsters threw the road into complete chaos. Two of the monsters, standing right in the middle of the road, were hit by large trucks and crushed into pieces, causing a chain reaction of collisions that blocked both lanes of the road.

Though the number of monsters was not overwhelming, their terrifying appearance was enough to strike fear into people's hearts. Compared to fragile humans, these monsters were undoubtedly far more lethal. Within moments of their appearance, several panicked bystanders were ruthlessly slaughtered!

The sight of splattered blood, grotesque dismembered bodies, terrifying monsters, and the desperate screams of bystanders turned the area into a living nightmare, as if hell had descended upon Earth.

Forcing himself to suppress his fear, Alex quickly used the Blessing Stone. He knew that, with human strength alone, it would be nearly impossible to fight these monsters.

The Blessing Stone took effect immediately. A surge of violent energy coursed through Alex's body, washing over his originally fragile frame, as the mysterious power settled into every fiber of his muscles.

Within moments, the overwhelming sense of strength made Alex groan softly. This newfound power gave him the confidence that he could easily destroy anything in sight.

Looking again at the character page, Alex couldn't help but freeze for a moment.

With a loud bang, the bus shook violently. The few remaining passengers screamed as a monster's blue scythe pierced through the bus frame, tearing apart the vehicle.

A monster had targeted the bus. Its green eyes gazed hungrily at the three remaining passengers inside, as if they were delicious prey.

"Boom!"

The monster's second scythe pierced through the bus frame again, and under Alex's stunned gaze, it slowly ripped open a massive hole in the side of the vehicle!

"Help!"

The two girls, who had been too frightened to flee earlier, screamed and quickly opened a window, scrambling out of the bus in a panic, leaving Alex alone inside.

"Roar!"

Seeing the two girls escape, the monster seemed enraged. It let out a roar, drooling from its wide-open maw, and swung one of its blue scythes straight at Alex!

**Stone Skin!**

"Clang!"

Just as Alex was standing up, it was too late to dodge the monster's attack. He shouted, activating the Stone Skin skill, and was shocked to see that the monster's scythe clanged against his arm with the sound of metal colliding!
