Reboot the Frozen Slayer ( not too sure about the name)

Hello so this is a reboot of one of my light novels I made called Adventures of Sapphire Vulpes and as I kept on starting and stopping I decided to reboot/ restart it. The reason for doing this is to hopefully do it properly this time, as I added a plot element suddenly and I broke the flow of the story. The other thing is that I wanted to change some things like the personality of the MC, the starting point, and hopefully make the MC, less like a Mary Sue as I write her wrong(in my opinion anyway).

if you know hopefully you enjoy oh and I'm going to try to get my chapters to be around 3k words but I'm not too confident in it as when I did 4k it sort of took me forevermore and I made very obvious mistakes so I'll try 2.5 - 3k for the start and see how I feel with longer chapters when I get back into the flow of writing.

Ps this won't count toward the chapter words so it will be around 2.5 - 3k words long. Enjoy ^ - ^

PPS I'm not good at writing, I'm just doing this because I want to so sorry for any horrible spelling or grammar, hopefully, song this will help me improve it (´∀｀)

We see cars driving past pedestrians, and small amounts of snow covering the roads.

Focusing on one of these pedestrians.

Mc on the phone " Sup Jonk, how have you been?

Jonk " Really, Jonk, that's my new nickname, last time it was Fronk just call me John man come on or get better names." Jonk says signing.

Mc " Fine, fine, anyway how uni?"

Jonk " It's going, also are you walking, pretty sure I can hear cars or something in the background."

Mc " Ye, I'm walking home as I need to exercise, feel like I'm not as fit as I should be for what I want to do."

Jonk " Oh yes bro, remember I can always help you out, I can pay the gym membership for the first month if you want."

Mc " I'm alright for now John, I don't think I need the gym at the moment, don't think I'm ready for it yet."

Jonk " what? No, that's not how that works dumb ass but whatever the offer still stands."

Mc "Thanks man. Oh, have you seen any interesting anime?"

Honk "Umm I'm a spider, so what, that was a good one."

Mc "Oh that one, I remember reading the light novel of that, I didn't get far though, didn't know it got an anime adaptation."

Tonk" Oh on the topic of isekai's, bro if I could get reincarnated I would defo invite you, we'll be the best duo I bet."

Mc " f@ck ye, bro, I'd definitely join you."

Phonk" Well Mc, gotta go to a lecture now speak to you soon ye."

Mc " ye speak to you soon man."

10 minutes later

Mc sings quietly " Faster and faster, dear it's like we're moving backwards in your rearview mirror. The road evened out by the snow. Mm, mm we'll go faster and faster." (faster and faster by good kid)

As the Mc stops at the crossing, presses the button and waits for it to turn green.

A couple of seconds later it turns green and he crosses listening to music only for his earbuds to come flying out and for him to skid across the cold floor, covered in snowflakes, and sadly, lays there, dying.

The cause, the infamous truck, truck Kun."

(somehow not in Japan tho)

So this is the end of the Mc, story over.

Mc in a pure white, but well furnished place " Are you a R.O.B?"

R.O.B? " no I'm one of the many gods that live within this universe, I am one of the many reincarnation gods."

One of the gods" And before you ask, the reason there are a lot of reincarnation gods is that it takes a lot of energy to get the ones who want to reincarnate to, well reincarnate. So we swap once and a while, so what are your requests, as you were a pretty good egg, you get to pick. Ask away and I'll say what you can and can't do… no Godhood, you need to earn that yourself." the bodiless voice says annoyed.

Mc " Oh, ok….. Hmmm, is gender and race free or does that take up things?"

The tentacled one" Oh depends on the race, and gender doesn't take any energy.

Mc " ok, umm could I be a kitsune? And ummmm female?"

The bodiless one " done, what else?

Mc "Can I invite someone to Join me?"

The Confused one " That's a new one, people only think of themself mostly, I can, it will take quite a bit though so you won't be able to have too much afterwards."

"Mc " Ah ok… can I invite my friend John Stilinski?

The everchanging one "Done."

MC" Umm I read a light novel called The Slayer Gamer, I like the idea so can I become a Slayer? …. Oh and if it helps because of this maybe I have a bit of a not-so-nice start or something. I got the idea from Hunter X Hunter, so like I have negative things happen for a bigger positive one. Mc speaking quickly.

The R.O.B of every novel ever" I see where you coming from, and ye that can work, you can ask for a couple more things, .. Did you just say s never mind, ye that's doable." The God seems almost excited near the end.

Mc" Right well… oh can you make it so I'm not connected to a god or anything, to my understanding the slayer dies or something because he killed a certain God and as he was connected to it, he died as well as the god."

R.O.B. "If you want to, but this will greatly lower your strength in the world, but could allow you to get more things."( I can't remember if this is true, but it is in this world so STFU, MY NOVEL MY RULES)

MC "Ye that's fine, thought that might happen, umm maybe a system and an evolvable ID skill, and I guess an ability to learn faster and memorise things better as that's an issue I hate having at the moment… well I guess had as I'm dead.

The well-known R.O.B." done, their pretty common requests and luckily, it doesn't take much so, anything else?"

Mc" Oh, right magic, umm can I have ice magic, I love the idea of ice magic.

That one wondering cat " Sure."

Mc "I love bleach and the concept of hollows, vizards and stuff, could I be part hollow or something?

The thinking one "Mmmm that will have to be your last request, I'll have to get a reason why it is within the world but should be able to, well good luck.

Are Mc then starts evaporating into white particles, but as he's in a white room, that cannot be seen.

Soon after

R.O.B" My own slayer, I never thought I'd get someone would ask for that, sadly to make that happen I've had to have him go through some horrible things."

But still, my own slayer, if they live through this they will become a great asset to many people.…and other gods."

Mc" Ahhh, why have I been flash banged, there was no warning! Were was the think fast! WHERE WAS IT!"

As the flash-bang slowly fades away we can start to see the surroundings.

The Mc is on a nice, well-made wooden bed, it seems to be made of hardwood, maybe oak.

well-worn but clean wooden boards supporting the bed, the room has a window with a blinding white light coming through and is high above the bed, an unlit candle on top of a large desk with neatly stacked papers nearby.

A wooden door in the centre and a nice wooden chest next to a wardrobe.

The smell of the air is extremely clean and fresh with a cold aroma, indicating snow, The smell of a freshly cooked stew wafts into the room.

the sounds of a faint River can be heard, along with children outside playing and what sounds like hooves and something being pulled through the dirt. (agriculture/farming)

Within the room are four people, a white-haired, Fox woman(Fox ears and tail) seemingly in her late twenties, the woman seems to be holding Mc, and she is wearing a white robe.

A black-haired, Fox man who is also somewhere in his late twenties, holding the hand of the white-haired woman, wearing basic clothing of a white top, brown pants and some kind of medieval boots.

A young Fox boy with black hair that had a hue of purple and faded into white tips nearby, seemingly around five, he is wearing a black top and trousers, with basic medieval-like shoes.

The last person is an elderly Fox woman with grey hair, she is wearing a light brown dress with a laced corset and basic medical shoes.

Old Fox signed with relief "That's good, she seems to of woken up in your arms Kira, she started to worry my old bones.

Young boy "Mum, why is my sister a fox?"

Mc (・∀・)

Black-haired Fox man "Well, with our race it's a 50/50 if they will have a more human-like body or a fox body, but our people say if a child is born a fox there is great fortune heading our way. But also it can mean we feel safe and the Fox child will have a better connection to the spiritual side of our race allowing them to tap into it easier.

Young boy" What does that mean dad?"

Black-haired Fox man "Well that means she can assist lost spirits quicker and easier, as are race are spiritual protectors, we were gifted but also duty bond to help spirits pass on.

Young boy" What about me, am I a spiritual protector?"

" yes Alex, we all are, it's just Sapphire here will be able to do it easier than we can.

Kira "Dear, can you go and check the stew for me please while I see if Sapphire is hungry?"

" understood Kira, Alex, can you come with me, please."

Alex nods and follows his dad.

Kira " Thank you for the help Jackie, you made this a lot easier."

Jackie" No worry Kira, always glad to help you out, I'll be going now I know Sapphire is fine."

After Jackie has left Kira lifts Sapphire and sees if she would like some food."

Sapphire" Wait, what are you doing, i'm not hungry, don't bring that down, no keep it up noo." Sapphire squirms in embarrassment from being Brest-fed.

Sapphire" why did it taste nice… and why does my mum have to be hot… wait She's my mum now, I can't think like that, I need to distract myself…. Ah, status!?"

A blue box appears in front of Sapphire.

A couple of days later

You can see within a small but lively Hamlet in a frozen coniferous forest, snow surrounding the area, a smoll artic Fox jumping in and out of the snow near a young kitsune boy with two adult kitsunes watching not too far away.

Kira " Skannon, what are we going to do, I know you said not to worry about it, but I can't stop thinking about it, what if she sees it."

Skannon "She'll be okay, I told you, Sapphire will not see spirits permanently or develop it early, so you don't need to worry, we can teach her when she starts seeing them at around five ok?"

Kira "But, we've both seen it Skannon, her soul is different from others, it's bigger than it should be, and older, that's not a good sign."

"what happens if she develops soul sight before developing her core, it's obvious she will be very spiritually connected. even if sealed, it will set its eyes on her."

Skannon" It won't, ok, that thing can't even if it tried I've put an extra barrier around the basement so it won't be able to sense anything outside now, Sapphire will be safe and because of the extra barrier even if she developed soul sight early she won't see it."

Skannon "Remember our mission, Kira, ok, we're here to make sure it doesn't get out, we can do it and protect our kids, easy peasy ye."

Kira" … ye…"

Skannon" ok you two, time to head back home, I need help from my strong kids to help me carry some things." a wide smile plastered on his face.

Alex "Mmm, ok Dad come on Saph, uppies." As Alex holds his hands out.

Sapphire jumps into Alex's arms and Alex Jogs towards Kira and Skannon.

Inside their house

Alex can be seen carrying a log and putting it down near a log burner, a mix of charcoal and splinters covering his now unclean top.

Within the room, there is a fireplace, with a log burner and a pile of logs next to it, a clean wooden floor with what seems to be a bear rug on the floor a basic wooden couch with animal fur covering it, and on the wall near one of the corners of the room, two swords in scabbards, a bow, and a staff. the staff is made of a conifer tree, a couple of strands of wood on top seemingly gripping a faintly glowing green orb.

In the kitchen

Kira "Sapphire."

The Arctic fox shakes its head while standing on the side of a counter.

Kira " Sapphire, drop it."

Artic fox shakes its head harder.

Kira" Sapphire, drop the food or you'll get less for dinner.

With that world-ending threat looming over are Mc, she looks around for a couple of seconds.

Kira" You're not getting help from Skannon, little fox."

'Blegh' as a piece of potato and some sort of meat fall out of our small fox's mouth.

Kira" H, I'm not even gonna ask that question, but I have another question, how did you get up there in the first place Sapphire?"

As Kira looks around, she soon sees a towel trapped in a Cubbard drawer and a slightly splattered potato.

Kira heavily signs " Sapphire, if you do this again the threat will still stand ok. So, I'll help you down and you wait near the table ok?"

Are artic Fox nods their head, gets picked up and gently placed down before she lightly jumps her way near the table.

Kira "What am I gonna do with her, it seems she's a foodie."
