The Extraordinary Gaming Cafe

Within the universe of the Rye there existed Earth that was inhabited by humans much like the earth in our universe; they strived down the path of technology.

After millions of years, they eventually managed to space-age and as a new intergalactic species, they traveled their galaxy and found dozens of sentient species just like them and formed an alliance with each and every one of those sentient species.

However, that alliance was almost destroyed by a sudden invasion by the Scourge, a horrible hivemind that infected other creatures used them to spread its influence.

For years countless planets were devoured by the Scourge...

When the alliance was on its last legs they found mysterious energy that could enhance their bodies and become stronger than what was thought as the limit.

The alliance called this energy QI and with this newfound strength, they were able to remove the Scourge from their galaxy...

That was a thousand years ago and now the alliance rules over hundreds of Planetary Empires and Kingdoms.

And only just recently did society start developing entertainment and food again...with the loss of so many planets the intergalactic kingdoms threw away entertainment and focused solely on militaristic technology.

And over the thousand years very few games, delicious foods, and clothing had been developed...

You may be wondering how I knew about this...the answer is a few years ago I found myself in this world after my horrible death in my original universe.

But once I died I found myself in this new universe that had advanced technologies and cultivators everywhere and you know what?

I did not have the talent to become a cultivator or the skill to find a decent job.

For years I was stuck on the capital planet of a small intergalactic Kingdom called the Braxian Kingdom.

So after a few years of being stuck here, I managed to earn enough money to open up a shop, and to my surprise, once I bought the shop a strange male voice entered my ears...

'Status?' I thought to myself.

"...death?" I started to mentally freak out...

"Aren't you supposed to help me! Why are you trying to kill me! Systems are supposed to help their host's! F*** You system!" I cursed.

[Warning! If the host continues to curse the system then the system will have no choice but to deliver punishment!]

I grumbled before I started cleaning my new store that also served as my home.

The building had two floors, the top floor has enough space for two bedrooms while the bottom floor had enough room for a small store, I looked around myself and couldn't help but complain about all of the cleaning I would have to do...

I spent the entire day cleaning before finishing up at sundown.

Once I managed to clean it all I walked up the stairs to the second floor and went to sleep, I was too tired to check the notification the system gave me...

...

A ray of light covered my face with warmth as I slowly opened my eyes.

I yawned before climbing out of the bed and walking down the stairs.

I froze in shock when I made it down the stairs and stepped onto the first floor...

The first floor that once only had a dusty counter and glass display cases completely changed...

To my surprise, everything except the counter was gone and replaced with 6 desks on the left and right side of the room connected to each other, and on these desks were computers and VR Helmets! The once tiled floor was replaced with dark wood and the once horrible brown walls changed and became a smooth silver-colored wall.

"What happened while I was asleep?!

[You have completed your first task! Do you wish to claim your reward?]

"Huh?, Yes?" I asked with confusion, that's all it took? I thought I still needed to clean for a few more days...

Suddenly a large wheel appeared in my vision and I saw countless games familiar and not familiar...

Then the wheel began to spin...I saw countless games familiar and unfamiliar before it finally stopped on...the symbol of a block?

[Congratulations on unlocking your first game, Minecraft!]

"..." I stared in silence...

I sighed before asking "Are there any mods?"

[Nope, if the community wishes to have mods then they must create them themselves…]

...I sighed before walking over to the computer on the counter and once I sat down in the seat the computer turned on and showed me a white screen with a two symbols, Minecraft and something called Cafe Chat Room.

Using the mouse I double-clicked on the symbol and the Minecraft Menu appeared before me.

I had a few options when looknig at the menu...

[Create World], [Load World], [Join World], [Create Realm], [Join Realm], [Options], [Mods] and [Character Customization]

I created a world and a screen appeared before me when I was on the loading screen…

The Screen Read: [It is recommended that you place on the VR Helmet to experience everything Minecraft has to offer]

Once I put on the VR Helmet I was surprised to find that everything changed...I was no longer with the store and I found myself standing within a forest…

A little distance away I could see a realistic sheep…

"This is Minecraft, correct?" I asked with doubt.

[Correct]

"How the f*** is this Minecraft?!" I asked while looking at the realistic trees and animals in the distance that surrounded me...

[The System saw fit to make some improvements which included more diverse weather, biomes, animals, caves, minerals, monsters, and so many more things]

"...How is this still Minecraft then?!"

I sighed before the system spoke again.
