The Declaration!
Queen Ariadne's POV.
I couldn't stop smiling when the Emperor made that declaration. He promised me last night that there will be no other woman in our lives again. It's was going to be him and me alone forever. I watched from far as he sealed it with the red ink. If my parents were alive today, they would have been proud of me. I made history again.
I was waiting for the medicine men to come and cure my wounds when Grandmother stormed in to the room. Her face was red with anger. She gave me hot stares before proceeding to where the emperor sat. Well I was used to her hatred.
"Grandmother, why have you come?" He asked, with a smile. I knew he loved her so much that's why she misbehaved and took laws in her hands.
"I came as soon as I heard of it , your highness" She answered with no smiling face. I wondered who provoked her this time around. That's was the same looks, the old woman had before I got burnt by her fire.
