<DemonKing2200 has defeated the last level of the Dungeon of the Great Bastion!>
The messages kept appearing on everyone's screens. Everyone who played the world's most trending VRMMORPG "The Rings" knew Jamie. Because he was the greatest "Rings" player that had ever lived.
But… in real life, Jamie was nothing but a loser who was playing a game he bought from the money he made; working at a burger hut.
[Shit, Jamie! You defeated the Level 400 Boss Dragon??]
[This is unbelievable, you're the first to defeat him for the past two years since the game has been released!]
Ding! Ding!
His notification bar filled up with the Discord notifications from his 'online' friends.
"Wow… man, I hope I could just… be reborn in a Fantasy world if this keeps happening to me! No job. Only these friends who're practically nothing better than me!" Jamie sighed.
For the past few days, he was planning to do a great stream on the internet and quit his day job, so he could finally 'not' be a loser in life. He could at least make some money.
His parents even rejected him and kicked him out of the house telling him;
"You useless brat! If you can't even pass an examination, what's your damn use!"
Why couldn't they just accept the fact that he's different from the others and let it pass? Jamie just sighed every time he remembered his sad past. VRMMORPG only became a thing last year, when he just began to play it.
Soon, Jamie got addicted to it and even stayed awake all night completing all the sidequests, gathering all the good gears, and leveling up his skills. Until… a week ago, he defeated all the Demon Kings and the bosses in the game and reached the final stage of the game that no one could reach for the past two years since the game was out. "The Dungeon of the Bastion."
So, he was getting quite popular in discord, the game servers, and even on the internet nowadays.
Jamie had a tiring night, but he didn't want to miss the challenge he had given himself today. He had a pending battle with a dragon tamer who had three level 200 Dragons as his pets.
Even the VR helmet and the game itself cost so much, that he had to work 3 months to buy them.

Outside of Jamie's house, the clouds were shifting. The weather was not all good, but the rain outside was very light. "Ha… this couldn't get too worse, and I can beat this guy in less than 15 minutes," Jamie told himself and put the VR on his head.

The menu opened.
"Open Rings VRMMORPG."
<Loading game…. Please wait…>

<Welcome, player DemonKing2200!>
"Ahhh… good to be back," Jamie sighed in relief as he turned his head around. He was back in the tower he had built up by himself, stone by stone.
Jamie quickly grabbed his best weapons and exited the Tower.
Meanwhile...
Outside of his apartment, the skies became darker and it started to thunder. However, Jamie couldn't hear this over the sound of footsteps in the game. "Hmmm… come out! Come out! RaegarTheGreat!" Jamie called out inside the game, as he walked towards an empty field of grass right under a mountain.
"I might just die here. Who knows?"
Jamie knew he wasn't gonna die; he was just encouraging the guy to expose himself.
And….
*CRACK!!*
Unlikely, an arc of lightning shot down from the skies to the apartment Jamie was in, and…
