I FEEL LIKE I DO WANT ROMANCE BUT I'M NOT A HUNDRED PERCENT SURE. I WANT YOU GUYS TO REALLY GET TO KNOW THE CHARACTER AND HER HARDSHIPS BEFORE I CREATE A LOVE INTEREST, HOWEVER, I'M OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS OF PAIRINGS. REGULAR UPDATES EVERY FRIDAY.

I want to be human so bad. This is so unfair and cruel! Just because of the lust and love a demon and human had for each other, I must live his unpleasant life. I look human, I speak like a proper human being but I can't deny the demon blood that pumps through my veins. If this is the consequence of being the product of love then I never want to bear such bad fruit... I don't want to fall in love either... Just to end up in another tragic love story.

A droplet of tears fell on a pretty flower. Kotori washed her face in the lake water to get rid of the disgusting look on her face. The golden yellow eyes are very common among half-demons. One of the very first qualities humans tend to notice aside from visible distinctive features. Her hair passed her shoulders and stopped at her waist. She had chestnut-colored hair which was rich and soft with a dimensional shade of reddish-brown.

A necklace dangled from her chest in a heart shape made out of silver and seem almost dull as if it was fake but it was very valuable and important in which she hold dear. Some days, she could see her demon features and just want to wash it all away. She stopped and looked at her reflection. She tucked her necklace inside of her white kimono.

There has been this ridiculous rumor in a local village a priest can grant a person's deepest desire. Kotori is desperate to become a full-fledged human and despises every part of the demon in her. She yearns for it so bad that some days become painful to continue to live. She did not rest or eat until she reached the village. It took her four days and the line at the temple was fairly long.

'Everyone must desire something, it's what drives them.' Kotori did not mind the wait and by the crack of dawn, she was next in the line.

" Miss...You're just a half-demon and want to become human, right?" He questioned and read her like an open book.

" How did you know?" She asked.

" I know every person's deepest desire from the moment they entered the village." He explained and pointed out random individuals that seek wealth, fame, or betrayal with good intentions or even ill intentions. Since he had no reason to lie, Kotori put her faith in this man.

" Yes, I want to become a full-fledged human. I want each and every demon's qualities stripped from me and I will endure all of the sufferings."Kotori answered.

" Shikon No Tama"

'Shiko No Tama?'

" Yes. The Shikon No Tama is also known as the Sacred Jewel, Shikon Jewel or Jewel of Four Souls is a powerful marble-sized jewel which grants whoever possesses it with immense power."

"Oh really?" Kotori could barely hold in the excitement in her heart and tears of joy filled her eyes as they shined brightly. A smile develop on her face as she could not contain the happiness that she was feeling at this moment. Her prayers have been answered and she thanked him.

" Don't thank me yet. I must inform you as of recent, the jewel returned but an incident occurred that broke it into a thousand pieces..This is the beginning of your journey and there will be many hardships but you must stay true to your heart in order to obtain it " He said and handed her a cloth. Kotori opened the pouch and there lie seven jewel shards. She was delighted as she closed it back and hid the cloth in her kimono. She was ready to start to embark on a new adventure.

The priest's eyes mysterious transition from brown to red as he observed the female half-breed expression as a smirk develop on his face.
