The Dark of Life

The atmosphere of mourning was still very thick in the luxurious castle. After 3 days the departure of the hostess who died of a serious illness. And for that 3 days, a little girl locked herself in her room, crying over the death of her beloved mother.

"Mom Vy miss you, hiks… hiks… hikss…This house feels so empty without you Mommy." The little girl whispered. "This isn't fair mom! Why would Aunt Oly have the heart to do that to Mommy, hiks… hikss… hikss…." she continued sobbing.

The girl continued to mourn the departure of her mother, she cried silently under her blanket. She's beautiful face looked sad and lethargic, her long hair looked messy but that did not reduce the beauty that was in her.

She is Varsha Ixora Koch, a beautiful and intelligent 12 year old girl from the Koch Clan. The perfect life she has makes everyone want to be in her position, but they all don't know what kind of life she really has. Living in a majestic and luxurious castle and having many maids in it still made Varsha feel lonely. The only friend she had was her beloved mother, but she had to lose her for good.

"Vy will tell Daddy the truth. Vy must seek justice for Mommy. Yeah! Daddy will believe me, I'm sure of it." the girl said to herself.

She got off the her queen size bed, out of the her room to his father's study. 'Daddy must be in the workroom' she said to herself. When she arrived at her father's study, she overheard a conversation from a person she already knew who the owner of the voice was.

"Reagan I want our legal marriage to take place as soon as possible! I want it done tomorrow!" cried a woman in the room.

"As you wish sweatheart." The man said then kissed the woman's lips.

"I can't wait to be the hostess of this castle, honey," she said, then clinging to the man's shoulder.

"Sure! Its your sweetie" they continued their kiss, until suddenly...

"NO! Daddy what are you talking about?" The young girl shrieked, "Mommy just passed away, dad, and the flowers on her grave haven't even dried yet. Why are you looking for a replacement already?" continued Varsha in a trembling voice holding back tears.

Reagan who saw his daughter was a little surprised and then said "Vy wouldn't it be better if you have a new mom, dear? Aunt Oly will help to prepare all your needs. She can also take over all of Mommy's duties, and this castil needs a madam to manage all the maids. here," Reagan explained softly, trying to reassure his daughter.

"NO! NO! NO! Does Daddy know what Aunt Oly did to Mommy?" exclaimed Varsha

With a confused face Reagan asked "what are you talking about Varsha?"

Varsha glanced at Oleandra who was standing right behind Reagan, the woman was looking at her with a murderous look. But Varsha was not afraid at all she was determined to tell her father the truth.

"Mommy didn't die cause of sick, Dad. Mommy died because She was killed. Someone killing her, Dad! someone take her from me in the unfair way." Varsha was cried,

"Varsha what do you mean? Killed? What does that mean?"

"Aunt Oly-"

"Reagan, Vy is still shaken by Ainsley's departure. Maybe that's why she became unfocused and hallucinated," said Oleandra to Reagan.

"No! I'm not hallucinating, okay? I saw everything. I saw what you gave Mommy tea that day!". Varsha screamed in anger, she clenched her fists tightly.

"YOU'RE KILLER! KILLER! KILLER! DADDY SHE KILLED MOMMY DAD, SHE-"

"VARSHA! SHUT UP!!" Reagan snarled

"No! I won't shut up until this rotten woman is imprisoned!"

"VARSHA!"

"NO DAD! SHE'S A KILLER-"

A handsome teenage boy got down from a luxury limousine, he was seen rushing into the castle in front of him. The man seemed to be busy looking for someone, someone who was the reason he returned to Russia as soon as possible.

"Vy! Where are you?" He cried a little, 'could she be in her room? Well, she must be there'.

"Young Mister, when did you arrive?" Said a maid while bowing respectfully.

"Oh Eugene! I just arrived. Have you seen Vy? I would like to apologize for not being able to attend Aunt Ainsley's funeral." said the young man.

The maid who heard the young mister's words smiled slightly, he knew that the young mister really loved the young lady even though they had different mothers.

The young mister's cheerful and humorous character fits perfectly with the character of the young lady who is a little quiet and seems cold, even though her mother used to have a gentle and shady nature, which is in contrast to her daughter's character.

"I saw the young lady in the master's study. Young master." said the maid respectfully.

"Oh really? I thought he was in her room. Okay. Thanks Eugene. I have to do the penance ritual immediately if I don't want to end up Vy's didnt want to talk with me for a week." said the young master half jokingly.

The maid smiled and said "Alright young master, good luck."

"I hope so, she's so scary when she's mad." The man said with a slightly frightful expression "Okay, I'll go first. You continue your work Eugene."

"Okay young master."

The man went to his father's work room when he arrived at his father's work room he heard a loud slap from there. He ran to see what was going on.

PLAK….

"AW!" Varsha screamed holding her cheek, the hard slap was very painful but the pain was not comparable to what her heart was feeling right now.

"Watch your words to who are older than you Varsha! She will be your legal mother soon, show some respect. If you say this nonsense again, I'll lock you in the basement!" Reagan said angrily.

"Honey that's enough! Vy is still a kid, she doesn't know what she's talking about now. She's just confused honey. Don't scold her too hard." Oleandra said.
