Chapter 1: Trapped

The surroundings are kind of eerie. Cricket sounds and whistling of trees are the only sounds heard inside the gloomy forest. Inside the forest, a fortress is hidden beside a small hill. It has walls that has high tension wires and soldiers could be seen roaming inside while some are stationed guarding the gates. Somehow, light footsteps came in and two unknown people are hiding behind the trees at a distance from the said fortress.

"Commander, enemies' territory in sight. Do we proceed to infiltrate our enemy's territory? ", asked by a woman to her superior.

"Proceed with the plan, we must proceed with caution. Remember, we only need to know where their superior's location is", the said commander replied.

"Roger that, Sir!", the woman saluted then started walking briskly.

They moved from one place to another hiding from the soldier's watchful eyes. They proceeded to the less guarded wall which is beside a small hill so they could avoid the high tension wires. They took out the rope with a hook that they had prepared earlier on, clamped it at the top of the wall and climbed on it. Once inside the wall, they searched the place thoroughly with caution. They felt something is quite wrong since, from the data they gathered before, it was stated that the leader of this terrorist group is a very cautious man but, today, they observed that there were fewer soldiers patrolling inside. They only saw one or two soldiers patrolling.

"Commander, something is odd. Do you think there is something wrong with the data that our spy gathered?", the woman said as she is checking her surroundings while they are hiding in a wall.

"hmm, you're right, something is really odd, but, still, we need to know where their commanding officers are located", her commander said with insistence.

"Roger that, sir!", she saluted then they started moving again.

They still proceeded not knowing they were being watched right now and allowed to infiltrate the area.

"These rats do not know when to stop ha!, now, go and attack them but, we must keep them alive". A man hiding in the shadows said and ordered his soldiers while watching the spies from a distance.

"Commander, I think someone is following us! what the-".

Someone fired a gun and the woman was shot in her left leg.

"Leila! Are you alright?! Can you still walk?!", her superior came to her aid and fired at the man who shot her.

"I can still walk but, commander! We are surrounded! What should we do?!", she said as she still tried to get up.

The man faced her and whispered, "Leila, send a message to our headquarters while I will fight them".

"But, I cannot leave you sir and I would also die anyway. I would not save my life while knowing that someone risked his life to save me and besides, you are my commander it is better if it is me that will fight them", the woman said in full conviction as she looked in her commander's eyes.

"This is an order! YOU must go now and do as I said! ", the man said sternly as the situation is already out of hand.

"HA! Do you think I will let anyone of you escape after coming here? You must be nuts! Attack them now but leave them alive!", another man said who seems to be the leader of this camp.

"Yes sir!", his subordinates saluted then started moving.

Gun firing was heard in the dead of the night. The two spies tried to fight back. They had killed a few but they didn't expect them to use a tear gas and since their sides were surrounded by walls while in front were their enemies, they started to lose their consciousness. The men were scattered but the spies were also wounded. They are now unconscious and held down.

"Bring them to the prison. We are going to interrogate them later", the leader of the group ordered his men.

"Yes sir! ", his men saluted then started moving. They took the two spies and brought them inside their prison.
