Only Today

The seas are calm today,

My calamity of thoughts let the sun take the lead.

I can feel it coming,

What I finally deserve is coming out of the dark.

Happiness is around the corner.

It might be only today but that's okay.

It's the small victories that after so long

Of drowning in the seas my head is clear.

My negative thoughts are getting eaten by tiny fish

I look at the fish and they are so cute,

Just like me.

I am beautiful,

I am strong,

And I am resilient.

I don't think of this often but I will soon,

I will soon be myself again.

I can't drown anymore

When I've already seen the light.
