Chapter One.

When Blue opened her eyes, she saw huge gates. Where was she and where was Deidara-senpai?

She picked herself up, observing her surroundings. She was wearing the clothes from the previous night but...

Why was she at the gate?

She decided to test her luck and enter.

"Oi."

Blue almost screamed at the man.

"Who are you? Why are you here?"

She was busy observing him. He had dark brown hair that covered the right part of his face.

Kinda like Deidara-senpai. But kinda not.

"Huh?" Another man appeared. "Does she understand us?" He turned to the first man.

Blue nodded. Wasn't it the same language everyone speaks?

"I - am - Ko-tet-su," he said slowly. "This - is - I-zu-mo."

This is stupid. I obviously understand them, so why are they speaking to me like this?

Maybe because you haven't spoken back to them?

Blue shook her head. There was always this weird voice in her. She was starting to think she was schizophrenic.

You're not schizophrenic.

She shook her head again.

Shut up.

If you say so.

The two males, now dubbed Kotetsu and Izumo stared at her having an inner argument with whatever was inside her. Though they didn't know that.

She suddenly looked up at them and gave a bright smile. "Hi. Kotetsu-san, Izumo-san. My name is Blue."

They were utterly shocked. By everything. Her voice, her name, her hair color. She could talk?

"Um ... hi B-Blue?" It felt weird to say.

"Yes. Blue." She nodded.

"And how did you get here?" Izumo asked.

Blue looked around. "I don't know. I just woke up here."

"Where did you live?" Kotetsu asked.

"With Dei-"

Her words didn't come out.

Don't say his name.

"With Sa-"

Don't say any of their names.

"With a demon dancing salsa in rainbows." She grinned.

"What ..." Kotetsu and Izumo looked at each other then back at Blue.

"I mean come on! Be nice! Adopt me! I need a home! Aren't I adorable enough?" She pouted.

"Well I'm not ready to have a daughter," Kotetsu said, laughing. "So Izumo it's all on you. Take her to Hokage-sama and adopt her." Kotetsu pushed Izumo towards Blue.

"What? Why me?" Izumo grumbled.

"Because I called out first."

"Fine. Come on, Blue." The name felt very weird to say.

"Where are we going?" Blue said, walking away with him.

She knew she'd heard the word Hokage somewhere.

You're in the Leaf Village.

That voice again...

But she couldn't help but think.

"Am I in the Leaf Village?" Blue asked, looking up at Izumo, her green eyes shining.

"Yes, you are."

"Why am I in the leaf village?"

Izumo stared at her. Was this girl an idiot? "Well because you woke up at our gates. Don't ask me such ridiculous questions."

"You didn't tell me where we're going."

"To the Hokage, Blue."

"B-But what if I die?"

Izumo stopped walking. "You won't die. Hokage-sama is very kind."

"You're lying!" She pointed an accusing finger at him, sticking her tongue out. "I can detect lies!"

Blue, shut up.

"Can you really?" Izumo raised a brow.

"No." Blue looked down and began to fiddle with her fingers.

"Come on. Let's go."

They walked for six seconds, then Blue had another question.

"Why are all this people staring at me?"

"Your hair, Blue. Your hair is blue. It's weird."

"Is there something wrong with the color?" She raised her left hand to touch it. "Is it an offense? A taboo?"

"No, Blue. We just don't see much ... blue haired people waking up at our front gate."

"Okay but then-"

"Blue can you please be silent until we get to the Hokage?"

"Fine."

After three minutes of walking, Blue had a question.

"Izumo-san?"

"Yes." His tone sounded irritated. No way in hell was he going to adopt this girl.

"You're going to adopt me, right?"

He gave her a guilty smile. "Well at the rate you're going with the questions, I might not."

The Hokage building came into view.

"This is the Hokage building. We'll go meet the Hokage."

"Who's the Hokage, again?"

Izumo sighed. "Just let's go in."

You're definitely not going to get adopted.

Sorry. Just follow him.

Blue ran after him, climbing through flights of stairs. Well, she was running, he was walking.

They stopped at a door and Izumo knocked. A faint 'come in' was heard.

Izumo entered with Blue. "Hokage-sama." He bowed.

"Yes Izumo?"

Blue stared at the very much old man.

"Izumo and I found her outside the gates."

"Well technically, you found me when I entered the gates." Blue grinned at the Hokage.

Blue, shut up.

"What's your name?" The Hokage asked, smiling back at her.

"I'm Blue!"

"You're Blue?"

"Yes!"

"Your name..."

"Yes her name is Blue," Izumo said, sighing.

Suddenly, the door flew open and two  men ran in.

"Hokage-sama!" One cried out.

"What's wrong? Is Naruto causing trouble again?" The Hokage asked.

"Yes, he is vandalizing the Hokage monument!"

"And this time with paint!"
