Chapter 189: Disappointment

Before Tilly and Elias, a war unfolded.

The piercing sound of gunfire tore through the air, the terrifying booms of artillery shook the earth. 

Tilly, horrified, covered her ears, but it was futile; the whole world seemed to tremble.

Steel behemoths plunged from the sky, spreading fear; monstrous metallic creations crushed bodies, trampling over barbed wire, bringing death.

The cacophony of gunfire, screams, and groans intertwined, the desperate soldiers torn apart by relentless firepower without a chance to fight back.

Tilly watched, stunned.

Limbs and bodies lay everywhere, piled up like mountains; the smell of blood mixed with gunpowder was unbearable. 

If hell existed, it would look like this.

"See clearly?" Elias spoke calmly, "When it comes to killing, our side is much more efficient than yours."

It was time for the witch to feel a small shock of his world's wars.
