I gathered a large amount of mana, and ran it through my body to convert it into dark lightning before shooting all fifteen dark lightning bolts at the towers along the city walls. The dark lightning blitzed through the towers with little resistance. The speed of lightning combined with the corrosive effects of darkness was something that was hard to block. Combining elements was something only a fusion level caster could do. It slowed lightning, and reduced the corrosive effects of the darkness.
The benefit of the combination was the fact that it sped the darkness up to make it so a potentially lethal darkness spell had a much higher chance of striking your opponent. Then that darkness spread the same way lightning did. The mana in the spell would be attracted to the core of the barrier spell that was blocking me from teleporting freely. That single strike was enough to destroy the barrier surrounding the city. The next strike was charged before the guards had figured out the barrier had fallen.
The city lord's barrier was stronger then the city barrier. My own barrier finished forming about the time I struck the city lord's barrier. I focused on each of the trees one by one. Destroying their cores faster then they could regenerate. The army of soldiers that were kept to guard the city's borders were coming after me by now, but my magic had spread throughout the city.
It would be near impossible for them to track me using my mana fluctuations. Now that the barrier was gone I could teleport freely. I wouldn't be able to go for the slaves just yet. The city lord was a domination level caster in at least one element. I could feel his mana fighting my own elemental dominance off.
I blinked into the courtyard in front of the lord's castle. My double had his eyes on the city lord. I knew the placement of everyone in the room not only with my spatial awareness, but also my infrared vision, and my double's eyes.
"Time to give them a good show," I smiled behind my mask.
-Sekka-
I knew that Wyatt was going to unleash some chaos. I felt the boom when the city walls came down. The lights in the hall dimmed, and the city lord stood. There was rage on his face as the pressure of a massive amount of mana came down on all of our heads. The next dozen or so strikes hit one after another in rapid succession.
A weapon appeared in his hands. He was ready for a fight. I could tell that his mana wasn't nearly as suppressed as mine was. That meant he had to be on an equal or higher level of control elementally speaking. I spread my elemental senses out so I could track what he was doing.
My senses were muddled by his mana spreading throughout the whole city. I could tell that the ambient mana was slowly coming under his control as well. Then I felt the city lord fighting back his control of the ambient mana. He stepped onto the table, and his eyes snapped to the large main doors that led into the banquet hall. The man that came flying backward through the doors definitely wasn't Wyatt.
His heavy armor clanged into the metal plated floors, and skidded along as they scratched up the floor. Wyatt followed behind with a long stride that made it seem as if he owned the place. I didn't need to see his face to know he was smiling. Wyatt enjoyed this kind of chaos. I would have found it humorous if it wasn't for the terror his presence caused me.
I swallowed as I thought about what Wyatt had forced me to agree to earlier when we were planning out this little assault. Wyatt's double left my side, and ran up to the real Wyatt. Wyatt waved his hand dismissively. Throwing the double into the wall with a wave of gravitational power. I'd never seen him use gravity like that so I didn't expect it.
I was legitimately surprised when the double flew off the ground into the wall with a massive amount of power.
"What a waste?" Wyatt sighed as he spoke perfect English , "So loyal, and for what? These rich racist bastards who could care less if you live or die."
The city lord crossed the room in an instant. I could tell he'd used the spatial element to cross the room, but so could Wyatt. He both created an ice sword, and blocked the city lords strike before the city lord could finish bringing his blade down. He looked over his shoulder with the blind side of his mask. He was reinforcing his body with more magic then any elf had seen a human use.
The mana surrounding them told them that not only was Wyatt casting a large area spell as well as reinforcing his body. That was more mana then some elves had. He threw the city lord off of him quickly. The city lord stumbled backwards a few steps. He was surprised that Wyatt was able to throw him off in the first place.
Wyatt blinked across the room so he was standing on the table.
"How about we make a deal?" Wyatt switched to near fluent elvish, "You all give me all your slaves, and I'll call off the spell."
I'd seen him speak in fluent elvish before. His ability to chance his voice, and outward behavior was disturbing. He had such a complete control over his body that is was disturbing to watch. He kicked food into the nearest highborn elf. Elven nobility was determined by merit as well as bloodlines.
The city lord was someone placed into power because of his merit. The other nobles were probably born into power. They flinched as food was flung all over them. They were terrified at the prospect of battle. Many of them hadn't received more then basic education in combat, and spellcasting. Many of them would probably take Wyatt up on his offer if the city lord wasn't here.
