The Archaic Dragon Mage

Wyatt was alone in the world. When the rifts opened the world was thrown into chaos. Archaic mages came through those rifts, and war after war followed. The last war had ended when Wyatt was just a baby, but he had still lost his eye to it. The empty socket, and loss of depth perception made him an easy target. Wyatt being an orphan meant that no one back him up when he did get targeted. Wyatt was used to fighting for himself, and the draft was going to force him into military academy. He had no genetic markers to become an ability user so he had already accepted the fact that he would probably die during his two years required military rotation after the academy. It was just a fact of life. Non ability users were just cannon fodder, and archaic abilities were highly restricted. Wyatt didn't think anything off it. That is until he found a marble in an old rift area. A marble that would change everything.

The driver smiled at me nervously before easing his foot down onto the gas pedal. The truck lurched forward slowly. The one behind me also lurched forward as I looked back with a toothy grin. I seriously doubted this was the only plan they had. The fact that I got through unscathed without killing a single man would leave an impression.

I blinked as the sunlight hit my scaley head. I tilted my gaze up to the holograms of the world leaders. The military leaders, and maybe three other world leaders were actually here in person.

"Pretty ballsey of you to arrange an ambush like that," I snorted with my jaws within inches of the driver.

He lost his nerve, and fled the cab of the truck. I crushed the entire vehicle flatter then a piece of paper with a wave of gravity. Leaving me standing in the middle of the field. I snarled at the holograms as well as the physical people that were there.

"I thought we were here for a peaceful chat," My aura exerted unbelievable pressure on everyone within the bounds of the arena, "If you want this to be an all out war then I could give you what you want." I snarled, "I thought you'd had enough of all out war with the elves after they kicked your asses. I wanted to be able to live peacefully on the planet which I was born on. I wanted to offer peace, and prosperity between our two races. Yet you attacked me when I came here to start these peaceful talks." I prowled angrily, "Now you have two choices. I'll let this attack slide, and we can start over or I can start this war you want so badly. Killing off every single soldier that even tries to set foot on my land. Starting over the cycle of revenge, and death all over again."

I straightened, and winked at Letty. I could see the disdain on their faces as they looked down on me.

"You have no right to speak to us that way you stupid animal," The boldest of the world leaders was one of the holograms, "Why would we seek peace with a creature like you? Do you have any idea how inferior you are to us?"

"Were you the ones who rescued all those refugees from the elven world or was that me?" I snorted, "If you're so superior to me then why weren't you the one to rescue your people?"

"Kill this damn thing," One of the holograms yelled out.

"How foolish are you?" I sniggered to myself, "Didn't you notice that two of my people were gone?"

Savannah kicked the upper doors open a split second later. She'd finished up with her problems as well. Letty, and Ethan appeared a moment later near the world leaders.

"Did you make sure the whole city heard what they said?" I turned my attention to Letty.

Letty just smirked, and chuckled a little before pointing upward. I tilted my head up a little to get a good look at what he'd done. I grinned toothily. Letty had projected everything they'd done onto the sky.

"What's it gonna be?" I sniggered, "Peace or a declaration of war? Why don't you tell this whole city how much you want your people to die? I'm too strong for you to kill. War would just end with more death, and you just announced to a whole city that you would rather allow your people to die then consider peace with an animal like me. After you planned a whole sneak attack, and tried to kill me. You're lucky I'm in a good mood, and taking these peace talks seriously or I would have destroyed this city after that sneak attack."

I tapped my talons as Ethan, and Savannah returned to my side. Ethan started transforming, and Savannah's dragon mark started glowing. The combined power that radiated between the three of us was enough to make the whole city tremble. A little nudge to the power around us was all it took to actually make the city rumble. Letty didn't need to add his power to the mix.

The three of us were plenty to make an impression.

"Maybe the only reason your so cocky is because you think I can't reach you," I turned my attention to Letty, "Give me their coordinates Letty. I'll show them just how poor their security actually is."

Letty smirk at me before providing images of the locations of all the people in the holograms.

"You think that you're safe with just a few anti mana barriers," I slammed my portals through their anti mana barriers with ease.

Opening them near their locations.

"You do know I could come through, and completely demolish the entire leadership of this whole planet fairly easily," I shrugged casually as I smirked at the terror on their faces, "I could send through a few wyverns. You do know I'm in command of a few hundred wyverns, and a few thousand former slaves. Add on the fact that I'm an ally of the werewolves, and have an entire planet on my side, and that makes me a real problem." I allowed the portals to close, "Yet despite having enough mana to take this planet by force I decided it was better to seek peaceful relations with you humans. Think carefully before you decide to do something even stupider then you already have."

Letty had stopped projecting our conversation about the time I asked for the coordinates of the world leaders that weren't here. I snorted dismissively, and waited for them to confirm everything I'd just said with Schnider, and Elisa. I was being far more patient then I wanted to be. I was able to simply because this kind of talk was exactly what I wanted. It had come sooner then I thought it would, but with a force of nature like Letty on my side I was bound to learn everything I needed pretty quickly.
