The World Of Angtrorse

Zalfick walked out of the room, wearing a princely outfit, and began to head towards the throne room. And as he walked through the vast corridors of the magnificent castle, he received greetings from both the maids and the servants.

He was deep in thoughts though. Or rather, deeply rummaging through his new memories, gaining more information about this new world.

Aiden, now Zalfick, was in the world of Angtrorse. A world with a breathtaking fusion of both magic and industrialization.

This is a world were mages work side by side with artisans and inventors, pushing the boundaries of magical technology. It is a world where enchantments fuel steam engines, machines, and were magic runes of illumination replace traditional streetlights. And lastly, a world were arcane artifacts are harnessed to drive the wheels of evolution into progress.

In this world of Angtrorse; a world filled with the infinite possibilities of magic intertwine with the precision of gears and cogs, they were seven great continents.

And each of these continents were ruled by an empire. Prince Zalfick, was currently the youngest prince of the Morverian empire, which ruled over the land of Golkinberg, one of the seven great continents.

Now, in the land of Golkinberg, there were several countries, which were in turn, ruled by lesser kingdoms. The Morverian empire was located in the federal capital country called Ruswer.

However, Zalfick wasn't interested in any of those things. He was more interested in the magic of this new world. Well, he soon found what he wanted within his new memories.

The world of Angtrorse had a rather peculiar magic system. In this world, magic came from two major sources; the nine gods, and the nine deities.

Now because of this two different sources, magical powers as a whole, was divided into two types. The first being the magic of the gods, and the second called the magic of deities. And, in order to acquire these magical powers, one has to make a choice, to either worship a certain god to receive the blessings and magic of gods, or follow a certain deity, to receive the runic spell magic of deities.

Because of this new information, Zalfick could now guess the reason for the king's sudden request to meet him this early in the morning. It was simple, really.

Although anyone had the choice to choose between the two types of magic, one must first have an affinity to magic, in order to use magical powers. Zalfick didn't really understand how that worked, but based on what he saw on the glyph, he had a hundred percent affinity to magic.

'Hmmm… maybe the king probably wants to discuss the type of magic I should choose. That should be it.' Zalfick thought.

"How are you doing on this beautiful morning son?" came a pleasant voice.

Zalfick looked up, and saw an attractive woman in a royal blue dress, walking towards him, with a handmaid following closely behind.

Just like the princess, this attractive woman also had a pair of striking blue eyes, which matched perfectly with her royal blue dress. Her raven black hair, was styled in an elegant bun, which further displayed in details, the beautiful and graceful features of her face. This attractive woman was Queen Alicia Morver; the queen of the Morverian empire.

Looking at "his" mother, Zalfick smiled and replied,

"Good morning mother. I'm doing just fine. Thanks for asking."

Queen Alicia gave her son a tight hug, and said, with utmost love and care.

"I'm glad to hear that. I was a bit worried. You seemed quite sick after dinner yesterday."

Zalfick felt the warm embrace and thought,

'When was the last time I felt the loving care of a mother?'

Driving that single thought to the back of his mind, he said,

"I'm fine now. You don't have to worry."

The queen released her embrace, and took a step back.

"Yes, that's good to know. Unfortunately, I won't be joining you for breakfast. I have an important meeting with duchess Miriam of Forlocder." She said.

"I presume you're heading towards the dining hall, right?" The queen asked.

"No, I'm going to meet father. He would like to speak with me in the throne room." Zalfick replied.

"The king? Perhaps he wants to talk about your magic awakening ceremony that's coming up tomorrow. In that case, you should hurry." Queen Alicia said, before walking away with her handmaid.

Zalfick had a confused expression on his face.

'Magic awakening ceremony? What's that? And why can't I find any information about this ceremony from the prince's memories?' He thought.

"Well, I guess I'll just have to find out." Zalfick murmured to himself, and thus, he continued walking…

The throne room was nothing short of grand. Zalfick was overwhelmed. Looking at the vast throne room, he could tell that it stands as a majestic testament to opulence and power.

The vast expanse of the throne room was adorned with intricately carved marble pillars, reaching upward to support a vaulted ceiling embellished with gilded motifs and exquisite chandeliers that bathe the space in a warm, golden glow. The marble floors, polished to a mirror-like shine, reflected the grandeur of the room.

Looking at the wall at the far end, Zalfick saw a large painting depicting the Morverian empire's coat of arms, which was a golden shield, with the image of a crowned lion. And in front of this wall, was a magnificent throne, gracefully standing atop an elevated dais, resplendent in crimson velvet and adorned with precious gemstones.

Proudly sitting on the throne, was King Alexander Morver, the 3rd; the mighty ruler of the Morverian empire.
