The Adventure of a Memer Edgelord

(A/N: Hello everyone, I am doing this to improve my writing perspective and attempt to create a character that is loveable for readers. I don't want to do excessive wall breaks like Deadpool so there won't be conversations with the author. I think it would be funny if the MC only addressed your comments in future chapters or if he addressed the memes that are posted.)

On a building above the city of Gotham, a man overlooks the city from a gargoyle somberly. He has a permanent scowl on his face while rubbing his chin. He is wearing a bat costume that looks exactly like our caped crusader from Gotham, but he is not Batman. You can easily tell this, because he only has the cloak and the cape on him, while his cheap tee shirt underneath was clearly visible. It was a green tee shirt with a misspelling of the words Adidas brand, 'Adadas', on the front in red letters.

"Hmm, Hmmmm" He continues to rub his chin as he broods on the gargoyle.

But he was soon interrupted by our very own Batman, who quietly stepped out of the shadows behind him.

"Who are you?" Batman says in a deep voice.

The pretender turned his head after Batman spoke and jumped up surprised. He looked at Batman and then back at his gargoyle, then back at Batman. He nodded his head as if he completely understood something important and then answer him.

"Do you want to borrow my gargoyle? I just finished." The pretender's voice was deep and steady like Batman's as he asked the question.

"Who are you?" Batman didn't move and repeated the question.

The pretender walked forward in a relaxed manner and something strange happened. His 'Batman' cape and cowl disappeared as if they never existed, fading into light particles. He was left with his normal and silly-looking green Adadas tee shirt and a pair of shorts. He smiled warmly at Batman and his voice was no longer deep like it was previously as if it had changed when the cowl disappeared.

"I'm a big fan. You can call me Jack, Jack Destiny." Jack Destiny said as he confidently reached out his hand.

Batman's eyes scanned the man in front of him and analyzed the changes that happened. The cowl and cape disappearing was surprising, but it didn't cause any change in his expression. He began to analyze the man's actions in front of him. He had dealt with his fair share of copycats, insane murders, and crazies in Gotham. He had long taught himself how to psycho-analyze a person such as this Jack.

"Why are you here?" Batman continued to ask.

"Ah, good question. Aren't we all trying to figure out why we are still here? Even if it's just to suffer?" Jack answered sagely.

As he answered something strange happened again. It seemed as if reality bent around him, he was wearing an eye patch and had a cigar in his hand. The cigar was a Cuban cigar and Batman could smell it from where he stood. Batman narrowed his eyes at this display of power. He made a mental note that this Jack was definitely a metahuman with a high power limit. He was displaying strong reality or space-bending powers with ease.

Jack sat down on the ledge of the building and let his legs hand off. He took draws off his new cigar and relaxed leisurely.

"Batty, come sit. Let's talk about life." Jack said calmly as he watched the half-moon in the distance.

Batman didn't respond. His natural paranoia made it impossible to 'sit down and talk about life.

"Batty, you can call me Meme Lord in the future. That's my hero name." Jack said with the cigar in his mouth.

"Make sure you remember it, ehhh are you gone already? Damn, I hate this feeling." Jack said as he glanced at the empty area that Batman had left without a word.

Jack got up and dusted off his shorts, his eye patch and cigar disappeared into motes of light. He stretched himself before walking to the gargoyle's edge. An Assassin's creed cowl and garment appeared over him before he performed a leap of faith off the edge of the platform to the streets below. He landed into a cart of hay, which was absurdly placed right below him as he jumped down. He rolled out and his costume disappeared along with the cart of hay behind him as he strolled down the street, his hands in his pockets, whistling loudly.

2 hours later, Batcave.

Batman finished his daily patrol, stopping a few small-time criminals in the area and returning back to the Batcave. He woke up his large computer systems and began to enter a new file: Meme Lord (Jack Destiny). He ran a few searches on his name and the face recorded with the camera feed attached to his cowl, but the face match turned up empty.

Batman spent the next few hours looking through street camera feeds in Gotham, following Jack Destiny. Jack's actions were a bit incomprehensible to him. He spent the entire night inside the Breakers NightClub 'face slapping' a 'young master' of Oliver Queen who was visiting the city at the time. Oliver had a short fight with him before Jack completely wrecked him with a fighting style he called 'Renewal Taekwondo'. Batman was actually quite impressed with the fighting techniques he used, using the footage to break down some of the moves and he planned to learn more about it on his own later.

Batman finished adding 'Close combat expert' to his file on Jack before he turned off the lights to his Batcave, finally letting himself sleep.
