Tears of Anne

Yippee today is my birthday. I'll be finally 17. 

What a stupid joke. 

No one even knows today is my birthday, not even my own freaking dad.

 I miss my mum...if she was here maybe I wouldn't be the mess I am today. 

The memories of my mum death flooded through my head...

 It was all my fault...

"Anne!!!"my father thundered from downstairs "get the fuck down here"

oh boy, I'm in deep shit

" why haven't you prepared breakfast for me you bitch" my father knocked down my door with full force and came running at me. He pulled my hair and threw me down the stairs 

" bitch go prepare break fast "

I quickly ran as fast as my nibble legs could carry me to the kitchen, before I knew it an alcohol bottle flew past me and crashed on the wall. I felt my father hand on my head crashing my head on the ground. 

"you whore, you want me to die of hunger right.."

He dragged me by my hair to the kitchen 

" I won't let you kill me just like you killed your mum" 

" I'm sorry" I wailed in pain 

" sorry can't bring your momma back to life, now go prepare me breakfast " he pushed me causing me to fall on the ground with a big thud.

 I tried standing up but my father legs landed heavily on my face, he kept kicking me and kicking until I started spitting blood ,I was starting to lose consciousness. I saw an alcohol bottle and used all the strength left in me to crawl to it. I finally got it when my father wanted to land another kick on me adrenaline rushed in and I used it to smash his legs and the glass shattered and my father fell witha big groan. 

" ahhhhhh"

I stood up quickly and fetched a pan .

" you whore!!! you wanna kill me right "

"fuck you father " I swinged the pan with all my strength and smashed it on his face and he fainted. 

I quickly ran up to my room and bandaged my self, carried my hoodie and my school bag. I went to the kitchen and searched my father pocket for any little amount of money I could find ,luckily for me I was able to get fifty dollars.

" well that would be enough for a week"

I quickly dashed to school cause I had no idea when he would wakeup.

... 

On my way to school I started recollecting all the memories I had of my mum, the memories of her death flooded through my head again.

it was all my fault...

all my freaking fault...

I don't blame dad for treating me the way he is treating me cause I deserved it...

I deserved to rot in the hottest part of hell...

If only I listened to mom

2 YEARS AGO

"Cause you helped me get an A you can come to my party this weekend " Julie the queen bee of my school, Everest high, told me

"Really!" I exclaimed happily

"Really, and please at least look nice when you are coming, I don't want you scaring all the boys"

" okay I will thank you so much "

Julie walked away with her gang leaving me in shock.

I was the biggest nerd of Everest high, I had no friends and I was always bullied and forced to do class projects and assignments for people. I was never invited to any occasion, I was lonely. Any time I was given a project to do by any of the populars I felt so happy because I felt it was my only way to actually have a connection with the populars and it was also a way to spend my spare time. And now julie is inviting me to a party , there was no way I would afford to miss it.

I couldn't wait for school to be over, I quickly ran home when I heard the closing bell.

... 

" Mum I was invited to a party this weekend "

My mum stopped what she was doing in shock, she wasn't sure she had heard me well" what did you say honey I didn't hear you well?"

" I was invited to a party" I repeated 

" wow, when is it?"

"This weekend "I replied gleefully 

" I'm sorry honey but you can't go" my mum said sadly

" what!! why? " i asked angrily 

" this weekend is family game night "

Family game night!!! I totally forgot about that. 

 We usually have family game night every last Saturday of the month, it was the time my family used to bond closer to each other , but now I was invited to a party for the first time in my life there was no way I could miss it.

" I'm going to skip game night then" I said coldly 

" You can't skip game night it's an important tradition in this family "

" Screw the tradition, I finally get a chance to attend a party and you want to ruin it for me, don't you care about me at all?" I cried aloud in tears" I wonder if you are my mother anyways" 

I decided to be a jackass and emotionally blackmail my mother

Seeing the pain on my mothers face, it showed my plan was working and I decided to take it to the next level which was the worst decision I had taken in my life, making me live in regret my whole life

I quickly dashed out the house and my mother ran after me .

" Annie wait" she shouted from behind 

"Leave me alone "

 I ran faster and before I knew it.....

Crash!! 

I turned back and saw my mum in a pool of blood, she died instantly.  

I tried crying but tears refused to come out.Having no tears, I began laughing like a mad woman and with that, I busted into tears. 

My father was informed of the accident and he rushed over quickly from his office .

I can never forget my father face when he looked at me. 

My father's health started deteriorating drastically and had to stay in the hospital for 3 months. When he got discharged, he started drinking alcohol every single day, He lost his job due to incompetence and violence , then he started gambling, plunging the family in debt. When he couldn't take it anymore he started pouring out all his grievances on me so that I'll at least taste what he was going through. 

PRESENT 

I still find the story funny cause the main reason I was invited to the party was so that they could pull a big prank on me.

My mum died for basically nothing

I wish I could reverse the hands of time but I knew it was impossible. What I needed to do now is to think of the future ahead. 

With this in mind, walked on the street singing to my self

" happy birthday to me, happy..."
