She meets a stranger

He stopped in front of a huge building, and she alighted.

She shove another $100 bill in his hand and walked away without looking back.

The driver looked at her and shook his head hoping she would be safe.

"I sure hope she knows what she's doing, it's not really safe out here at night," he muttered and drove away.

Nora had come back to the office, she could have gone to a hotel but she didn't want to, she wanted to be alone and hide herself in her solace, her office.

It would be best since she always worked long hours here and she almost didn't want to leave.

She walked to the elevator and used her card to enter the elevator and pressed the button to the tenth floor.

The whole floor was dark but she still managed to find her way to her office, she used her employee card to unlock the door and enter her office.

Getting into her office, she sighed and turned the lights on, "This should be my solace for the night," she sniffed and dragged herself to her desk.

She gently put the bag on the desk and sat down, inhaling sharply.

The scene played in her head again but this time she couldn't cry, she had no strength to cry over a man who cared less for her.

"All my fault anyways, I should have listened to my mother when she strongly opposed this marriage but no I was blinded by love?" She scoffed.

Her eyes fell on the bag of booze and she reached out for one, she opened one it and took a large gulp, feeling the burn in her throat.

"Ah!" She sighed and licked her lips.

She took another gulp again, she wanted to get pie eyed drunk tonight.

"This should do it," she muttered to herself hoping those large gulps would help I'm drowning her sorrow but it seemed not to be working.

"Oh gosh," her voice broke again and her eyes were growing teary.

She sniffed, trying so hard not to cry.

She took another large gulp and that bottle was emptied. Her eyes were dazed as she had never taken alcohol that much.

"This feeling," she sucked her lips in as her eyes were getting blurred with tears, "It hurts, so much," a tear slid down her right cheek but she quickly wiped it off.

"No way! I shouldn't cry over him!"

There was a crash coming from an office and she flinched.

"Am I not the only one here?" She stood up quickly and took her bag of booze, she took out a bottle as a shield and she held in front of her.

She walked out of her office and looked to her right. The office which was supposed to be the CEO's was half opened.

Her heart skipped a beat, "Someone broke in?" She gasped.

Her head was already racing with a lot of thoughts, she wanted to scream but thought it would be foolish as the burglar might hear her and come after her.

'I could go in from behind and then take him by surprise, afterwards, I call the police,' she thought to herself.

She walked quietly and stealthily to the door and gently pushed it further to avoid it squeaking.

She got in but what she saw immediately turned her off.

A man was half laying on the couch looking somehow confused on what was going on.

"Huh? Who the f*ck are you?"

He opened his eyes and they landed on Nora.

She gasped as soon as their eyes met. She was sure, his eyes were the most beautiful hazel eyes she had ever seen. The way they looked at her piercingly, made her insides scream.

"Hello," he sounded.

She was even more shaken by his voice, it rang in her ears, making her heart beat faster.

"Wh- who are you?"

"Just an ordinary someone," he smirked, his eyes looked at her searchingly.

She frowned, "Why are you in the CEO's office?"

"Probably because I have these?" He raised a bunch of keys.

She drew her head backwards in surprise, "Whoa, that's.. odd," she muttered.

She looked around him and noticed the broken bottle pieces, it must have slipped out of his hand.

"Look at the mess you have created," she said sternly.

He yawned and spread his legs wider, "Not my fault, I'm feeling a little bit drowsy," he smirked again.

She walked further into the office, this man seemed friendly and didn't think he'd hurt her, even if he wanted to, she could always defend herself with a bottle of booze.

She got to where she lay and she felt her insides melt with secret admiration.

He was definitely the most handsome man she had seen, even more handsome than her husband. He had the body of these popular models in New York.

His brown hair complimented his hazel eyes giving his face a very fine look. His arms were large and strong, the type she liked.

Her eyes left his arms and trailed down to his legs which were spread apart, her jaw slightly dropped as she observed his legs. His thighs were also strong and she could feel strange sensations inside her.

The man grinned when he noticed she was checking him out.

"Not satisfied?"

Her heart skipped a beat and she looked up at him.

"What?"

He smirked, "You have all the time in the world, I'm not in a hurry to go anywhere," he spread his legs more wider.

She felt embarrassed and looked away, "Stop talking nonsense," she scoffed.

"Were you crying?"

Her eyes widened and she looked back at him, "Huh?"

"Your eyes.. they seem sad and they're so watery," he blinked.

She wiped her face, "No, I wasn't crying, I'm fine," she tried to sound firm but her voice betrayed her.

He sat up, and looked at her, "Having a hard time at home?"

She was a bit startled, how could he guess that close? She sighed and nodded.

He tapped the space beside him, "Come sit."
