After equipping all his gear jack looked at his map and went to a nearby NPC with a exclamation point above his head after reaching the NPC the NPC said h-hey you look strong can you help me jack smelling easy exp said yeah I can help you and what's your name and also what do you need help with the NPC my name's Jonathan and the sewers under the town have been infested with slimes if someone doesn't clear them out the town will be overrun after the NPC responded his name changed from a question mark to Jonathan and he got a prompt that he accepted the quest Clear The Sewers of slimes 0/50 with its rank being town and it's difficulty at easy

jack was surprised a town level quest had appeared so early but after thinking about it mad sense it was probably just to get players foot in the door after thinking this he looked at his map to see where he had to go to enter the sewers after finding where he had to go jack turned around and after going back to the town square and taking a left he found stairs that went down into the foul smelling sewers

preparing himself he walked down the stairs and at the bottom of the stairs he saw a torch on the wall which he picked up it before moving into the darkness beyond, after walking a few steps he encountered a slime to which he swung his sword up at the slime slicing it dealing 2 damage to it's 5 after that he swung down landing a critical hit dealing 3 damage killing it after it died it dropped 4 copper coins and he got 2 experience, 20 minutes in he had killed 24 of the 50 slimes he needed to kill and all the loot he got added up to one silver and 48 experience out of the 100 he needed to level up (100 coppers=1 silver 100 silvers= 1 gold 100 gold = 1 platnium) finally after 18 more minutes he killed all the slimes and leveled up to level two and a stat sheet appeared in front of his vision

the question marked attribute weirded him out but he thought it was just a locked attribute that he would unlock at a higher level after thinking for awhile he put 3 points into strength and 3 into stamina 1 into endurance 2 into intelligence and to his surprise he was able to put points into the locked attribute which he put 1 point into after that he looked at what he could spend the skill point on the skills he could get were sword, mace, axe, heavy/light armor, and mana enhancement? jack was confused about the last option so he selected it's description and it said mana enhancements allow the player to use mana to enhance their body with mana for example giving yourself enhanced strength until you mana runs out (disclaimer can't be used to increase your intelligence) almost immediately jack selected mana enhancement now he could actually use his mana as he didn't have any spells after exiting the level up menu he tried to use mana enhancement to increase his endurance as he did so he felt his body hardend it felt as if he was invicible it felt like cheating jack though right as his mana ran out after that Jack tried to retrace his steps to get to the surface to turn in his quest when jack was about to give up he saw the staircase that took him down into the sewers after getting to the surface he checked his map and saw that Jonathan (the NPC he was supposed to turn the quest into) was on the other side of the village he ran after Jonathan and after reaching him he said Jonathan I completed that quest you gave me Jonathan replied thank God those slimes would have overran the town as Jonathan finished speaking jack got 200 exp getting him all of the way to level 3 he also got a paper that was rolled up with a red ribbon and a red wax stamp seeing that jack was confused about the paper Jonathan said that paper allows you to start a mercenary guild as Jonathan finished speaking jack was elated he could start his own mercenary guild and he would be the first to establish a guild in Talos after thinking that jack said to Jonathan where can I turn this in Jonathan replied with at the town hall after Jonathan finished speaking jack checked his map and ran towards the location of the town hall
