Tales of Demons and Gods: A Reincarnated Soul

"This guy is fun. God of reincarnation, where did you find him?" a man in cloak asks another man in a cloak.

"Oh, God of life, even you are having fun? Aren't you supposed to be a kind god? You liking his adventures sets a bad examples to your angels." the God of Reincarnation asks.

"Just answer the question. And don't forget your place. You were just a Mid-god years ago. Only when me, God of time, God of Space and the God of death supported you, did you get promoted to a High-god rank." he replies with an arrogant tone.

"Sorry about that. I don't even remember when and where I found him. I was just sending random souls to other worlds. You know that I have to reincarnate 100 souls every year, right?

If some reincarnated souls die in the new world, I can send them to other worlds. Usually everyone grow stronger in the third new world and go back to the previous one for revenge or their loved ones.

But this guy here had his loved ones killed and then he got revenge in his second life itself and then died. So, after I sent this guy to his third world, he had no motive.

He came to a weird conclusion that he would get reincarnated again and this gave me a new idea. So, I kept sending him to different worlds and boy, it was fun.

I sometimes reincarnated him multiple times in the same world. He lost his spirit and after reincarnating 500 times and now, he just explores all the different worlds." the God of Reincarnation replies.

Another man in cloak beside him asks "Wouldn't that be boring if he just roams the worlds? He lost his spirit, right? That would make his adventures even more boring to watch."

The God of Reincarnation replies "You don't know since you recently became a High-god. See his recordings. Even you, the emotionless God of Death, would start enjoying his adventures. He is the only person who didn't loose his character when reincarnated multiple times."

"What do you mean 'he is the only person'? Did you try the same with other souls?" the God of Death asks.

"I did try and all of the souls which were reincarnated more than 10 times became lifeless and were not interesting to watch. This guy still tries to find happiness and fun in everything he does. That makes him even more interesting." he replies with a creepy smile.

"Ah! The God of Reincarnation still hasn't changed." came a voice from behind.

The three gods standing there turn to look at the owner of the voice.

"Ah! The Goddess of Love, what brings you here?" the God of Reincarnation asks.

"You haven't changed at all. You know that reason and still ask."

The new God of Death asks the God of Life "Do these two know each other?"

The God of Life looks at him and answers "Yes. We were talking about a soul, right? He stopped getting into relationships when he came to the conclusion that he would get reincarnated multiple times.

Both these gods like the soul's willpower. They are hellbent on breaking his character."

"This doesn't make sense. The God of Reincarnation said that the soul lost his spirit after his 500th reincarnation. Then what is he trying to do?" the new God of Death asks.

"As you already know that Gods like to play around with mortals. His willpower to stay alive even though he knows he will be born again and his dedication to staying single resulted in awakening of the sadistic personalities of these two.

They found his condition fun and always caused situations to either make him like a girl or torture him till he dies.

The funny thing is that the soul never touched a girl after his second life and never killed himself even after being repeatedly tortured." God of Life replies.

"Now that sounds interesting." the God of Death said.

"Don't try and do the same thing. There are other gods who support mortals. I am amazed he is even alive even after trying this with other souls." God of Life said.

Then the God of reincarnation says to the God of Death "Hey, are you planning on seeing the entire video for free.

Since this is your party, I was generous enough to let you see his first 10 lives. Pay if you want to see the rest. I am risking my life for this."

The God of Death hands back the crystal orb, that projects videos, back to the God of Reincarnation.

The Gods are all in a huge golden hall where everyone have cloaks on them.

This is a party hosted by the God of Death on the occasion of him getting the post of the High-god God of Death.

(I will explain in detail later. For now, neglect the confusing parts.)

"Where is he now?" asks the God of Death.

When the God of Death asked this, everyone nearby looked at the God of reincarnation, waiting for his answer.

"He is in the world of TDG." he replies.

"WHAT!!!! Why did you send him there? Don't you know that souls from Earth are not supposed to be reincarnated into cultivation worlds.

Did you forget about that incident? And 'TDG' out of all the cultivation worlds. Are you out of your mind? " shouts God of Life.

Everyone else near him also had the same surprised and shocked looks.

"I do remember, but it was the deal I made with the God of Time and God of Space.

You see, their angels in that world are sealed by a demon there.

Since the 'Tales of Demons and Gods' world is locked for gods, he can't save them.

You know that the angels of both the God of Time and the God of Space are the least in number when you compare the number of angels other gods have.

He could neither send any angels to save then, nor can he go ask the Supreme God for help. So, he asked me for help and I agreed." he explains.

"Now I get it. That's the reason why the neutral gods supported you. But, be careful. The reason we don't send the souls from Earth to cultivation worlds is that the God of Prophecy has published all the future events of all the other worlds.

He sends the information to different people and they consider them as ideas. Different people have represented the prophecies in the form of novels, pictures and plays.

Some of these have become famous and have become a nuisance since, cultivation is one of the methods a mortal can become a god." Goddess of Love says.

"I know this. That's why I have taken many precautions."

"Precautions?" the Goddess of Love asks.

"You know that only the hard working ones can ascend to godhood. So, I gave him all the resources needed to fasten his cultivation.

Since he will reincarnate as the main character of that world, when I provide him resources. He would just advance in his cultivation super fast. These kind of people are similar to the souls, the Goddess of System plays with.

He wouldn't be strong enough to challenge even the angels. I even considered the worst case scenario that he would use those resources to become strong.

If he ends up using those resources and grows stronger than expected, then also I can handle him. The 'TDG' world is the weakest amongst the cultivation worlds. He can't become strong enough to pose a threat.

If he is intelligent enough, he wouldn't even think of betraying me." the God of reincarnation explains.

"I can guess what you would have done. You promised him some reward didn't you?" the Goddess of Love asks with a curious tone.

"I promised him that I would free him of his suffering."

The Goddess of Love realized what the reward was and starts grinning. "Hohohoh.... You sure know how to play with mortals." she says with a flirty tone.

(I think that's enough bullshit for now. Let's move to the main story.)

*Glory City*

In the peaceful city of Glory city, above the Holy Orchid Institute, clouds cover the sky.

Then a golden light pierces the clouds and falls on a certain class in the institute. A boy with orange hair and blue eyes in that class starts to feel a little dizzy and suddenly, he opens his eyes with shock.

'Why are my hands small and why am I here? Isn't this is the institute where I studied?' he thought to himself.

While he was still in his shock, he felt something enter his body and suddenly everything went blank.

He found himself floating in a dark place. Then a voice called out to him. He turns to see the owner of the voice and found a weird man in his 30s.

The man has red spiky hair and brown eyes. He has a well built body and a handsome face. He wore an unbuttoned shirt and jeans torn in different places. The ends of the jeans near his legs also were torn and worn out.

The most noticeable thing was the scar on his right eye and the huge claw marks on his chest, which formed a 'x', running from one side of his chest till his abdomen.

"Who are you?" asked the orange haired boy named Nie Li.

"Sorry kid. I know this is sudden but, you have to die again and give me your body." said the man in an arrogant tone

"That's a nice joke. Remind me about this before you die."

"I had a decent opinion of cultivators, but I guess all are just cocky idiots. Why do youngsters always choose the hard way instead of just listening?" the man says with the same arrogant tone.

"Who are you calling young man? I have already lived more than you and have met different kinds of people but, you are the cockiest among them." Nie Li says.

"I don't have time for this boring conversation. I am in a good mood now. So, If you have some wishes or regrets in life, I can consider them." said the man.

"Then I would like to see you scream in pain and see you begging me to kill you." Nie Li says with a smirk. He is also a human who gained power and was amongst the top cultivators.

Nie Li was also known to be quite short-tempered and arrogant. He wouldn't let someone look down on him.

"I understood that you don't want to take the easy way. The hard way it is then. Prepare yourself for a painful death." said the man.

"You do know how to talk." Nie Li said, taking his fighting stance.

"Stop talking and come at me. And also, you didn't look like the one to quietly die. I want to see you struggle for your own life and body.

It's been a while since I have fought with someone strong enough to make me use 5% of my power." the man says.

"I guess I will have to speak with my skills then." Nie Li says and runs towards the man.
