Chapter 17

Austin's Pov

Kuro neo and I fought for some time and I was getting the hang of it, at least I wasn't getting beaten by him. After a few more minutes of fighting, Kuro neo felt it was also good if I could train my mental prowess, so we decided to stretch my imagination, I imagined a lion with a scorpion's tail and it appeared after which I  dispelled that thought.

I wanted to make something hard and if possible use this as a training simulation. With that idea in mind, I imagined I was in a dark place with interconnecting tunnels, kinda like an underground maze, I imagined having to save Emily who had been caught by some bad guys and was being held hostage.

After which I opened my eyes and as I imagined, I was in the dark tunnels. I quickly began searching for Emily and saw a group of people ahead, I think seven to eight guys and they were all strong martial arts practitioners as I had envisioned. They spotted me and I ran towards them to embrace the fight.

Two guys came at me at the same time and I dodged to the right to avoid a blow from the first guy then I ducked and gave the second guy a kick in his guts. I turned around and hit the first guy on his head but then I felt a terrible pain on my right shoulder, a third guy had sneaked up and was aiming for my head when I turned around and hit the first guy.

I gave the third guy an uppercut then gave the second guy a sliding kick before chopping the first guy in his throat. They all collapsed and I marvelled at my as peed and strength. I knew there was room for improvement but at least I was off at a great start.

The other four guys saw me and came to attack me and I knew then that I needed to learn how to cast spells. I ran towards the first guy and did a sliding kick which he never anticipated, I think I heard his bone break and it seemed that way because he screamed really loud.

I turned to the other guy by his right and gave him a punch to his face followed by a bit on the head and he collapsed. Now it was just two people, I walked to them and they ran to me to begin the fight, the second guy attacked first throwing his foot in the air to try and kick me but I put my to hands together and pushed is feet down while the first guy came to attack me from my left side.

I held the second guy and threw him into the first guy before I hit the second guy on the chest and he fell coughing up blood. I turned to the first guy and when I wanted to hit him, he used a dagger which I didn't know he had and he slit my face barely below my eye. After which, I don't know what happened, I just saw red and collapsed.

When I awoke, I was still in the simulation but the whole place was wrecked, it was as if a tornado hit the whole place, I cancelled the simulation to see Kuro neo and Ren some distance away. I ran to them and they looked at me weirdly.

"Ren, Kuro neo, what's wrong? Why are you guys staring at me like that?", "No reason, we just want to ask, did you perhaps loose control? I mean did anything weird happen to you right now?", I thought of what happened in the tunnel and then I said "yeah, I was fighting a few guys as practice when one injured me, I was really angry and... The next thing I know, I woke up to see the tunnel destroyed and you guys here, why do you ask?"

"Well, you lost control, that means you allowed an emotion to control you, you are all of us and we are all you. A previous reincarnation of you might not have tolerated being defeated and so the anger of that charged into you and made you destroy the place. If this were in the real world, you would have been completely possessed by that incarnation of you but as this is your soul world, only the emotion controlled you".

I thought of what he said and the thought terrified me, what if I had an incarnation of me who was a psychopath and he took control?, I shuddered not daring to think anymore on the subject. I decided to ask Ren to teach me magic.

I wanted to be able to cast spells and do all sorts of incredible things but Ren said "You've had enough training for today, go back to the real world" and with no other option, I returned to the real world.
