nice hit Anton I hear a voice say I turn around and see my best friend's dad behind the gate of the baseball field. Thanks Mr. Smith I reply back. I think it's time we head out miles is gonna need time to change clothes at the school I say turning to my friend miles, he was tall with blonde hair and blueish greenish eyes and an amazing pitcher.

I agree, dad lets go miles says walking off the pitcher's mound and to his dad's car glove in hand. I catch up to him beads of sweat had formed on my face as we were practicing, I get in the car and look in the mirror in the reflection of the mirror my brown eyes stare back at me as I fix my shoulder length dirty blonde hair. Hey Anton, who's the girl you're trying to impress this time? mile's dad Tyler smith asks me with a smirk. I open my mouth to respond but before I can miles has already said, Angela again he says and I look at him annoyed, but he continues, they both just never seem to give up you guys have dated like what ten times now? I start glaring at him, no we have only dated four times before this and technically we aren't even dating right now we are just talking. oh? but you will be soon I mean you guys have danced with dance four times now what do you think is going to happen? he asks with mock curiosity, he continues on saying, did you know that the definition of insanity is to do the same thing over again and expect a different result. It's different this time bro I can just feel it you know? I say follow your heart Anton, Mr. Smith chimes in I look at him and then back at miles my face smug and say, see your dad agrees with me you should too. Whatever he says and looks out the window I do too and the school coming up.

Mr. Smith parks the car and I start heading inside Miles catches up to me his tuba in hand as we walk through the doorway the smell of bleach hits my nose meaning the janitors have recently cleaned I look around at the front office the blue and yellow walls with the big stupid gorilla painted on the wall, man I am so not gonna miss seeing this stupid ass front office I say to miles, language Mr. Brunner, I turn around and see Ms. b behind giving me her classic sweet smile, she was always my favorite teacher because she allowed snacks in her class, and she never assigned homework. I am going to miss you though Ms. b I say to her, yes well, I will also miss having the star athlete in my class. Remind me again what records did you break in track? shot put, discus and the 100-meter dash. yes, well once again congratulations I'm sure you're going to make varsity once you're in high school. Thanks Ms. b. I walk away to the band room the chairs and pedestals that were once in the room are now gone and it is now just an empty space I see Angela's long brown hair that stops at her hips she standing in the corner of the just standing with her flute in hand seeming to just stare at the plain white wall in front of her not paying any mind to the chatter of the other band kids talking around her I start my walk over to her but before I can take even five steps I am stopped by her best friend Maddeline she looks at me blankly and says, she is not feeling well today so I would be cautious and try not to upset her anymore, then she just walks away leaving me confused as hell is she sick or did someone say something to upset her, I walk over to her confused and say to her, hey Angela.... I wait and she doesn't react at all hello? I say again a little louder and she turns around so fast and, in her eyes, I see absolute hate and madness her face is pale, and her lips are chapped, when she looks at me, I see recognition in her eyes and the hate or madness that I saw or maybe just imagined immediately went away, hey Antonio she says to me her voice a little raspy and weak. Wow are you okay I asked my voice filled with worry, yes, I'm fine just a little sick, not just a little you look like you are about to drop dead at any moment you look horrible, I remark what are you even doing here why aren't you at home? I ask, I can't afford to miss this it will bring my grade down too low, won't they give you a makeup assignment or something? yes, but I just want to get school over with and not have to do make up work for the last week of school, she says to me annoyance evident in her voice and I see that she grips her flute so hard that her knuckles re starting to turn white. She has never acted like this before and it is creeping me out, something doesn't feel right and despite how much I like her I just wanted to get as far away from her as possible right now, but before I can she grabs my hand and rests it on her cheek, I am glad I was able to talk to you before the concert she smiles, and it is so beautiful but it does nothing to quell my worries and instead somehow makes them worse I REALLY don't want to be here anymore it's like a tug at the back of my mind telling me to run as fast as I can I look around but everyone else is just talking and laughing with their friends and then my finger feels moist and I turn to see she has it in her mouth caught between her teeth not biting it but holding it between her teeth I pull my hand back as fast as I can and tell her that I am going to wait in the stands for the concert to start and i just walk away without looking back or waiting for her response when I get to the gym the bleachers are filled and in the middle of the basketball court is all the chairs and pedestals for the band players with the podium for the conductor in front. I have to walk to the side of the gym to make it to the bleachers and I just sit down on the front wherever, my mind is racing and I can't get that nagging feeling out of my head I look around and right beside me is a big burly man someone I have never met before but they are pale and their lips chap and a madness is in their eyes and they are looking right at me I just get up and look for a different seat I see two more people who are also pale with chapped lips and the same madness in their eyes but luckily I see Mr. Smith and he is nowhere near the sick people so I just walk over to him and sit-down next to him. So how did it go with Angela? he asks, I don't want to talk about it I say, so that bad? I just tune him out trying to figure out why I am so anxious I mean its just a couple of sick people its not that bad but then what is this nagging feeling that is in the back of my mind I just cant shake it by then the band kids have walked into the gym I see Angela looking at me her eyes never leaving my body and the madness the rage I see it in her eyes and I decided to leave something I should have done earlier I hear Mr. Smith talking to me but I ignore him for some reason those eyes when she stares at me instead of feeling the love and care I did before all I feel is fear, fear that makes me want to curl up and cry. I pass her on the side of the gym she was sitting on the end of her row and her eyes don't leave me until I am a just beside her between her and the walls of the gym. when I make it past her I hear a shriek I turn around only to see Angela lunge at me.

this is my first chapter of a book that i have ever written if anyone for some reason decides to read this book i will love any criticism that you can give me. I do go to school so I won't be able to put chapters up very fast so I hope you can be patient :)
