"Hmm.. Good. What about the parking lot? As much I remember I told you to change the proportion of it in the last meeting. Has it been fixed?" Ivan asked in a grim tone.
The manager who was presenting the informations about the project, gulped in fear and started to find excuses to tell him about the progress but couldn't find one.
Looking over to his other colleagues who too were bowing their heads in order to escape from the dark gaze of their boss, the manager felt more fear creeping inside his heart.
"Uhm.. Actually boss, we have already directed the workers to arrange the parking lot of the shopping mall according to your reference..
But it got delayed as they were busy with the other changes that we made." He said fearfully without matching his eyes with Ivan.
Whereas Ivan just smirked at his excuses because he had already caught the hidden lies in them..
"Do you guys think I'm a fool? Do you really think that today I'm sitting on this position without having the capabilities of not looking through every matter which consults my work?
I already got the notice of the parking lot progression and the reason for the delay was not the workers but you guys.
You were the ones who forgot to give them instructions in the correct time, which is why they weren't able to complete it before the scheduled date." Ivan yelled on him as he thumped his fist on the table angrily.
The loud bang sound made everyone jolted up on their seats in fear as they felt cold sweat running down there spine, giving them a chilled feeling.
"Sir….that…we…" A team head of the project tried to justify themselves but a sharp glare from Ivan was enough to stop him from blabbering more.
"All of you… I thought that you guys at least be truthful to me about everything related to the company. But you guys really proved me wrong...
Moreover, you guys put the blame on the innocent workers who work hard to produce food and other necessities to their families and children...
I never thought of my employees to be liars also. Seems like I really have given you all too much freedom nowadays!" Ivan exclaimed in fury as his eyes were throwing daggers on them.
The manager who was describing everything earlier, immediately apologized to him, "We are really sorry sir. We promise sincerely, it won't happen again."
Ivan glowered at them, "You better be sorry for this. I'm giving you all a second chance to rectify your mistakes before next week. And don't you dare to lie again."
All of his employees nodded his head and said, "Yes sir.."
Ivan gave them another look before announcing, "The meeting is adjourned."
Without waiting for their response, Ivan just stood up with elegance and buttoned his suit jacket before walking out of the room angrily, being followed by Brian..

Peach and Pearls…
Two women who were in their middle age, were sitting in a big cabin while sipping coffee from their respective mugs and discussing about some official work.
"Hmm.. I think, this colour will go well with this one. Even the pattern of this dress also suits the combination." Laura Davies said while looking through the designs.
Ava Moore too nodded her head and said, "Yeah. It's perfect. We should go with this."
Laura sighed before saying, "Then it's finalized. I'll give it to my assistant before leaving."
"That'd be cool.." Ava said.
"Wait! Did you just said the word cool. Like really?" Laura asked her friend come business partner with surprised expression.
Ava squinted her eyes for a moment and then laughed out loud, exclaiming, "Oh! That one! We'll, it's the effect of my granddaughter, Emma..
I don't have any idea, from where she had learnt this word but she often use this. So I got accustomed to it and as a result, it too became my habit.."
Laura laughed along with her and said, "Kids these days are too much forward than us. They are more expert in using electronics and other modern stuffs than we old people."
"That I completely agree." Ava said, thinking about her cute granddaughter.
"How I wish too have a grandchild like you. So I could also play with her or him like you do. Truthfully, I'm a little bit jealous of you." Mrs. Davies said while pouting cutely.
Mrs. Moore who was both Ivan and Natasha's mother chuckled at her and said, "Well, if you want to be as lucky as me then, why don't you ask Ely to get married and give you a beautiful grandchild like my Emma?"
