Subjective Reality

I wrote this thing to practice my English. Hopefully it's readable. So basically it's the story of this guy who completes a survey, gets killed by thighs, and gets OP. Theoretically, I planned on this being a Multiverse fanfiction because I consider those fun, but I'm still in the first world. I own absolutely nothing except my OC, just barely.

Ep. 6

"First years, Professor McGonagall." said Hagrid to the stern witch. Actually, I am wondering why I didn't receive a visit from a Professor… Well, my family must be marked as magical, so it must have been considered superfluous.

"Thank you, Hagrid. I will handle it from here." said McGonagall. Oh, I am so going to prank her.

She led us in the 'waiting room' aka a big ass hall and told us to wait.

"Don't be afraid of the ghosts, they mean no harm." I said to Camille, Natalie, and Silvia.

"Ghos-" Silvia didn't even get to finish that single word that the dead fuckers came out of the walls to scare the firsties. I saw Peeves and sneakily pulled him into my Spirit Converter while placing the students in a small Genjutsu. Heh, become my power, bitch. Ah, by the way, I had both my suitcase and my cane with me. No way am I leaving those in the hands of some stranger.

We were called in by McGonagall soon enough, but it was hard to walk for me since I had three girls stuck to me like rust. Did the ghosts cause this much fear? Well, they did just witness the dead stroll around in the air. The Great Hall was quite nice. The ceiling was the best part since it is basically a localized weather spell. Quite difficult to pull off, not for me though. The Sorting Hat did its little skit, which I didn't bother listening to, and McGonagall unfurled a scroll, then started reading names.

"Silvia Rossi!" she called out. I gave a thumbs up to my new friend as she sat down. After a few seconds, the hat shouted: "Hufflepuff!" Well, she's kindhearted enough, though she might be little down about the fact that I said that they will 'never do much in their whole lives'... I might need to have a chat with her.

The reading of names continued, then came Natalie's turn.

"Natalie Smith!" same process and the Sorting Hat shouted: "Ravenclaw!" She was definitely curious enough.

Then Camille: "Camille Stuart!" McGonagall called. Soon enough, the Sorting Hat shouted: "Hufflepuff!"

Then, finally my turn.

"Azga- Azagareth -"

"It's me. Azagareth Maleficarum." She seriously couldn't say my name… I sighed and sat on the stool. The hat was placed on my head and started 'suffocating'. "Does this thing use Legilimency?" I asked McGonagall. She nodded while still stunned by the events. "Sorry, I'll lower my protection then."

I already knew that it could judge my character and made use of Divination to look at my possible futures, so I kinda wanted to mess around. I made it so my mindscape would have oxygen, then heard a voice in my head.

'Brat! You would have killed any living being with that mindscape! What are you hiding?! Some nuclear launch codes?!'

I playfully answered: 'You might find some launch codes in my mind, so please don't touch them. Can we get to the sorting?'

'Brat… Fine! Let's see… Ravenclaw is out, you would most likely dominate them and I can't have that. Gryffindor is too 'social' for you, so no. Hufflepuff would be an option. When you want, you can be kind. However, Slytherin suits you best. You are definitely devious and cunning enough to be there. Look, you choose between the two houses.'

"Fine then, Slytherin." I said.

"Slytherin!" announced the hat. I stood up and walked to the snakes' table. I was receiving several curious looks, but even more hostile and disdainful glares. I wanted to mess with these kids, but I can't with all the teachers here. Dumbledore was looking at me with twinkling eyes, so I removed oxygen from my mindscape and reduced the time dilation, then locked eyes with him while sitting down. He soon started coughing and gasping for air while still looking at me. I surely had a sadistic grin on my face, because Snape was getting aggressive and was about to draw his wand. I let Dumbles out of my mindscape and removed my Genjutsu from my eyes. The Rinne Sharingan and Rinnegan had the intended effect and made the old man shudder and look away.

I glanced around and saw that almost everyone was staring between the Headmaster and me. I shrugged and took my blood-shake out. Much better than any other drink. I should probably change up the composition soon, so that I can get some new benefits. I purposefully let a couple of drops trickle down the sides of my mouth, then showed a 'fanged' smile to my house mates.

"Hello there. I hope we will have a long-lasting relationship. It would be a waste of blood if anything happened to you, so I hope that we will be great friends." Hehe, the kids shuddered and looked away in fear. How cute! Well, a grown man (mentally) is naturally going to be able to mess with them. Now that I think about it, mentally I am only one year younger than Mother…

Oh well, dinner started and ended quite uneventfully, then the old goat-fucker went on to say his closing remarks and dismissed us students. I followed the female Slytherin Prefect, since no one wants to listen to an idiot, and arrived in the dungeons. She stopped in front of a damp wall, which was clearly enchanted and would be missed only by a retard. The password was 'Serpent', which was quite unimaginative, but better for most students in the house with their small, inefficient brains.

We all had private rooms since Slytherin house was mainly inhabited by pure-bloods, so it wouldn't do to have them share rooms. They were all quite luxurious, with a big, king-sized bed, a modest desk, wardrobe, private bathroom… It honestly looked like a hotel suite, maybe an economic one. I immediately applied a few wards and runes to mine to make it more spacious and secure for Mother. I then left my suitcase and cane, then left the Common Room. I turned into a bat and headed to the Ravenclaw Common Room. It was in one of the towers, so I checked the tallest one. Lo and behold, I found the Ravenclaw knocker.

I knocked on the door and it asked a stupid riddle: "Phoenix or Fire, which came first?"

"Stupid question. If we look at it objectively, on one hand we have the fire, which is the product of a Phoenix's death, so obviously one would say the Phoenix came first. However, we can also say that the first Phoenix came from the first Fire, so the opposite is also true. The only sensed answer is that they are a cycle, a circle. Both are a beginning, both are an end."

"Acceptable. You can enter." said the knocker and the door opened. I strolled inside the Common Room and found Natalie still waiting for her room to be assigned. I sneaked behind her, as she was distracted, then whispered.

"On your left." I just had to do that. She turned around quickly and yelped in surprise. "Hello there, Natalie. Everything alright?"

"Az, weren't you in Slytherin? And I'm fine, thanks for asking."

"Eh, the snakes are a little too prideful today. I still need to break their wills and become the leader. A couple of weeks will suffice. Well, if you're fine, I will check on Silvia and Camille. Good night, see you tomorrow."

"Yeah, good night. Wait, what do you mean by 'break their wills'?!" she said. I ignored the question and strolled outside the Common Room. I transformed again into a bat and went towards the kitchens, looking for intruder wards with my Rinne Sharingan. I found this totally not suspicious pile of barrels filled to the brim with wards, so I guess that I found the Common Room. I casted a spell on me to make the wards recognize me as a Puff, then entered the Common Room.

I found some older Puffs reading and chatting, who turned towards me to check who came in. They were surprised, to say the least, to see the Slytherin insignia on my chest.

"Who are you?! How did you enter the Common Room?!" asked one guy.

"Woah, I'm sensing a lot of hostility here… Chill, I'm here to check on some friends. As for who I am, you obviously have a bad memory. McGonagall tried calling my name about an hour ago. How I entered your Common Room isn't your problem. Now, can you tell me where Silvia and Camille are?" I responded.

"Huh? Friends? You, a Slytherin, has friends in Hufflepuff? Are cats and dogs raining outside, because I think I just heard something unbelievable."

"Ha ha, really funny. Look, I could have chosen to come to Hufflepuff, but I wanted to break the snakes' pride, so I went to Slytherin. Now, you either tell me where my friends are, or I will have to excuse myself and find them alone."

"Hm… I don't know who these two girls are exactly, but the female dormitories are that way." said the guy. He had a barely hidden smirk on his face. Probably due to the wards that would punish any male entering the female area. I smirked and thanked him, then casted another spell and went to the female dorms, leaving the older Puffs stunned and laughing at their friend's idiocy.

I didn't really want to ask every single person where my friends were, so I used the Rinne Sharingan to search for their magic signature. I quickly found them in two separate dorm rooms. Silvia's signature was fluctuating, which worried me. I knocked on her door and could hear some hushed voices behind the door. I modified my voice to be more feminine.

"Who is it?"

"Sara's friend." I said, blatantly lying.

The stupid girl opened the door slightly while saying: "There is no Sara here." I didn't care because I saw some marks on her knuckles. I pushed the door open and saw that Silvia was on her bed holding her swollen cheek.

"Silvia, what happened?" I said with my normal voice. She looked at me with tears in her eyes.

"Hm… You know, I didn't want to kill people at school, at least not the first day, but I am really fighting my urges right now. You. Tell me what happened right now." I said, activating both of my eyes.

"T-the girl here said she met a Vampire on the train and wouldn't stop talking about him, so Dalia punched her." said the girl I pointed to.

I showed a 'fanged' smile. "That Vampire would be me. Now, what should I do with you? You hurt my friend. I might not be particularly sociable, but I won't allow MY friends to be punched so randomly… Punishment awaits." I said towards this Dalia. I put her in a Genjutsu where she is belittled and punched for an entire day. "Silvia, come with me. You're changing dorms."

I had all her belongings, which were still packed in her trunk, float and took her hand. I led her to Camille's dorm and knocked on the door. This time, Camille herself opened the door.

"Hello there, Camille. I came to check on you two and found some… Displeasing situation with Silvia's roommates. Mind if one of the other girls with you switch? Ah, how are you by the way."

"A-Az! W-wait, come in! I don't mind if someone switches, but you should ask them. And I'm fine, don't worry." she then started to whisper with Silvia. A girl came out of the bathroom and looked at us.

I explained the situation and she didn't mind switching rooms. She had a strong character. Katrina, was it? I'll remember her, probably. I helped her move her stuff and the move was complete. I checked on Silvia, who calmed down and fell asleep, then bade farewell to Camille and her roommates.

I found an angry Pomona Sprout at the entrance of the Common Room.

I tried acting as if nothing happened, but she picked me up by the scruff of my robe. 'Damn it! Just how strong is she?!'

"What would you be doing here, Mr. Maleficarum?"

"Your job. My friend was attacked by her roommate, so I helped her switch rooms. How about you go and reprimand a certain Dalia? Oh, and could you let me go? I might be a Vampire hybrid, but I still need my beauty sleep." Sprout wasn't thrilled by my answer and threw me out of the Common Room, quite harshly. I think I should expect a meeting with Dumbles pretty soon. I intruded into two Common Rooms, after all, and one was warded as well. Eh, it was worth it. My friend won't be bullied again, I'll make sure of it. Teasing is fine if it is done with a friendly attitude, but bullying isn't something I will allow.
