Innocence

Felipe spent the whole time trying to kick something, but the kidnapped was insightful enough to tide his hands and legs; he felt like a worm. He felt humiliated more than scared; he felt like he had touched rock bottom.

Like a sack of Potatoes, he was put over the shoulder of the kidnapper, and so he began to run with enough silence not to make a lot of sounds.

He tried to push the white cloth from his mouth, but it was too deep. So he tried multiple tactics; one was going dead weight, which didn't work, then it was moving his body as much as possible and trying to make his kidnapper fall. However, all that he did was make him stop for a fraction of a second, accommodate himself, and go back to the previous speed while Felipe was moving like an actual worm.

All the moments gave Felipe a headache; he felt like the whole world was going crazy.

It was no time that the kidnapper reached the kitchen and met with other co-conspirators, who instantly put a bag over Felipe; he could smell it; the dirt of the bag could only mean one thing, it was used to transport and store Cassava, a root vegetable that is very prolific in the rainy mountain ranges.

Going completely blind made him realize it was even more dizzying. Though he did feel seasick, it was just an annoying sensation that only happened for a fraction of a second.

His ears were not bounded, so he could hear the Conspirator's voice and the muffled scream of another person.

Felipe decided that he could only make the path of the kidnappers the most difficult one; there was no point in saving energy for later, so he just went to town and decided to use all his power to probably give some time for the rescue to catch up. Or to tire the person holding him like a sack of potatoes.

It just didn't stop; the movement became even worse as time went by, and he, of course, just went to town; though he was not using his vocal cords, he knew pretty well that they could go wrong in no time. He would really need that for later.

The terrain of where they were was mountainous, and intending to not be discovered, the kidnappers used not well-established roads, just increasing the shakiness of Felipe.

Felipe decided to stop his movement as if he was simulating he was tired, which let the kidnapper get comfortable once again and didn't pay much attention to the cargo; the whole time they were basically running, they were speaking Haitian Creole, they were coordinating and encouraging each other.

And as Felipe could feel they were going down a somewhat steep part of the trajectory, he used all his mind in his ads and contracted his body with enough force to stabilize a full-grown male adult.

Sure enough, the man fell, so he also fell—the fall was rather long, but the steepness was not 90 degrees, so it was somewhat survivable. Meanwhile, they were all shouting in Haitian.

The next thing Felipe remembers was an insult in fHaitian and a hard punch on his side face, knocking him out cold.

--

A few hours later, Felipe opened his eyes and felt his whole body hurting, especially his hands and feet; the ties the kidnappers used to restrain him were too tight. There was an improvement, though; his who;e mouth was not stuffed with a white rag, but there was a tide on his mouth like a normal kidnapper would do.

He looked beside him, and there he found the prince of Haiti already in tears—he looked like he had been crying for a long time already; his cheeks implemented and his whole face a mess of snot.

"…" He would not cry in such a situation, he would if he was mentally a child, but he is an adult, so he just looked around in calmness, projecting security. Nevertheless, the moment he tried using his jaw, he felt a pain so immense that it made his body react unnaturally.

He then remembered that he was punched in the face; why he didn't feel that when he first woke up? He didn't know. Probably his nerves have entered in shock.

Felipe began to breathe heavily as the implications of what was happening quickly set in; he was going to die or, most likely, be used for ransom. But the thing is, the survivability of a kid that was kidnapped in the first 24 hours goes down by the hour.

'Fuck Fuck.'

He tried to calm himself, but he was not able to do so, he was given a second chance at something, and yet he was going to lose it just like that? He was psychologically refusing so.

Suddenly the door opened; it was a kid, no older than 11 or 12 years old. The kid was in somewhat rags for clothes, and his body complexity was relatively thin.

He just moved his stick around as he was the new prison guard. An authentic moment when power has gone up to a kid's head so quickly.

He began talking to the prince in a rough tone and somewhat loud voice.

Felipe didn't understand much of it, but it was enough for Felipe to somewhat understand what was happening; after all, even though Creole and French were different languages, they were still similar enough for him to understand context and words from time to time.

In summary, the kid was mocking the prince as he showed who was in power and how lowly a prince is. He hit the prince with his stick multiple times—it made the prince cry even louder, but the vend in his mouth prevented a loud moan from being heard. It doesn't look like it was the first time.

After the kid was able to satisfy his amusement enough, he looked at Felipe, who had been looking at him the whole fucking time. The gaze of Felipe towards the kid was one of pity and compassion; after all, he was sorry that such a child would be driven to such extremes; he believed a child should be in school and be taught gentleness, yet in front of him, he only saw a future monster.

Seeing how Felipe looked at him, the kid felt a bit enraged, as Felipe was mocking him instead of actually fearing him.

Nonetheless, he didn't hit Felipe right away; he waited for a while and started looking at Felipe like he was an odd insect. He was curious, but in a rough curiosity from which he didn't care how he would satisfy it.

He used his hands to check behind Felipe's ear and then passed his hand across his scalp, surprised by the long, plain hair that came out of Felipe's scalp.

The kid then began to talk to him; of course, he was not expecting any answers but still acted as if Felipe could answer; he kicked him to try to make him answer.

'… I… I will never be in this situation.' Felipe swore on his name as he looked at the cruelty of the child increase with the second; from light kicks, he began to use his stick to hit his arm and back, yet, the child was amused by the defying grace of Felipe.

Annoyed, he swung his stick and struck Felipe's cheek, Instantly creating a massive pain on his cheek, which made him react and finally fall to his side in pain, eventually bringing him to cry out of the pain; he just prayed that nothing was broken, but by the pain, he was not sure.

The kid just began to laugh as he celebrated his triumph of breaking something that didn't look like it would break.

No, soon after, an adult came, it was a woman, and when she saw her son act in that manner, she just hit his head in a parental way of punishment; she quickly drew the child from the room and looked at Felipe for a long while; both were engaging in eye contact, Felipe could see her emotions in her face, she was not a bad person, or that was his assessment. She then looked at the prince; she didn't spend a fraction of a second before closing the door and leaving Felipe on the ground as he was fighting to keep tears inside.

He can change the world's path; he can reduce all the plastic in the ocean and global warming, and he could not die, at least not yet.

But all he could do was slowly sit up again and calm his heart rate and breathing.

He looked at Hanry, the second, who was recovering from crying; he then tried to look around the room where they were; even though it was dark, the gaps between horizontal planks let enough light for him to look around and be able to distinguish most of it.

Felipe finally saw a nail that was not fully embedded in the planks. He saw his ticket off such a situation. 'I know I don't believe in you, but please, help me this time.' Felipe said as he looked at the ceiling. In moments of desperation, even the most dedicated Atheist would start believing.

The next chapter will be something heavy. Thanks for reading.
