Her Philia, My Eros

"She is married now. Miss Sophie is married now and my heart needs to accept this as soon as possible. I am sorry, Miss Sophie Galanis but I still owe myself to hold your beautiful, glossy hand within my clutch. Maybe our love story will never get the conclusion it deserves but Prince Theodore will always remain the Master Theo for you until the day heaven calls us to serve it for its auspicious occasion. I owe you love Miss Sophie and you will always owe me the betterment of our friendship which sadly your married life will never allow you to conspire yourself towards. My feelings are truly obedient for its beloved and they will never think of any other princess ever in its life, accepting the occasion of remaining an unmarried man, all my life."

Prince Theodore, a man who was the descendant of the Emperor of Hellas, wrote in an old diary that merely represented the imperfection of human beings in the 18th century where things remained hand-crafted whilst not artificially made. They had huge beauty within their gest and that could be served by the mere touch of this roughly stitched feeble diary that owned a small but very precious place in the heart of Prince Theodore Makris! Time was taking a shelter of limited possibilities right now in the life of Prince Theodore and he was sure that his classical romantic tale of love would now remain incomplete and unsung forever. Yesterday, Miss Sophie Diamandis had turned away into Miss Sophie Galanis by getting married to the descendant of Emperor Galanis who was the prince of the Hellada, the other princely state of the Greek Empire in the 18th century, i.e. on 29th August 1752. As the states of Greece, Hellas, and Hellada were living on the two sides of the same coin, people with extreme aggression resided here in their means of living amidst expanding a force of hate towards each other on a large scale. Usually, they always resorted towards staying away from their rival princely state because they felt that they were compulsively superior to the state next to them and that was the reason why several conflicts and violent acts took place between both the princely states creating chaos in the countryside of Greece which was roughly ruled by the Emperor of Hellas and the Emperor of Hellada! While both of them were still on talk resolutions to reinstate peace, inside they held on vigor of hate for the next, considering their inferiority and delusional beliefs that led to the threat to the security of both the princely states. The situation and terrifying conditions of warfare had already occurred twice on a large scale in the past few years but due to sheer luck, things remained under control for both the Emperors, amending them towards a turn back from war and battle. The Emperor of Hellas lived in the Eastern corner of the Greek kingdom, where resorted the region towards the oceanic waters and small islands to control the territory through aquatic ways on a larger scale than that of the Emperor of Hellada, who had only one seaport under his control while the rest were completely out of his mist. Both the Emperor had lodged several complaints against each other but only due to the vast consent of Prince Theodore, matters resolved to peace rather than war. Prince Theodore was the charm of the state of Hellas and had been living in the royal majestic affairs alongside the coastline with an ultimate share of the villagers trying to contribute towards the growth of the princely state. Hellas was way heavily made from the works of the local people who lived there rather than the refugees brought from other countries for labor and work. This was a vast difference between Hellas and Hellada, as Hellada acquired people from the African continent for work while also bringing people from the Asian savannah to work as the labor.

As the local people had always contributed towards their princely states rather than the country, it had created a severe difference in the Greek Empire to bring together both sides of the same coin once again to contribute towards the eternal growth of the Greeks. Prince Theodore had tried to take this initiative every time he met the prince of Hellada, Xenofon Galanis, until he realized that this was the same person who was going to become the partner of Miss Sophie Diamandis who was the princess he secured his life for, with love and glory. That was a huge blow for Prince Theodore but later with time, he came to realize that it was for the good of everybody and could eventually make things better for Miss Sophie, rather than marrying him, the prince of Hellas who would always be considered the enemy of every Helladan including her. She was too born of the Hellada state in the west where she claimed possession of an average villager who lived on the borders of the Hellas-Hellada state, claiming to meet her only friend with much enthusiasm once every week. Prince Theodore was no prince for her until she reached the reputation of a highness in the kingdom of Hellada, promising Prince Theodore that once she would marry her beloved Xenofon Galanis, she would resolve the disputes and conflicts between both the Greek states and restore them to unity once again. When she told Prince Theodore about Prince Xenofon's sudden marriage proposal reclaiming his love at first sight, he was shocked and at first thought that it must be a playful act or event to embarrass him, but to his sad result, he was very much wrong. When Miss Sophie told him about his proposal, he also showed him the handwritten love letter from Prince Xenofon Galanis who was accompanied in the Greek forest by nobody except himself. It was a heartbreaking feeling for the wrecked heart of Prince Theodore, but still, he had managed to keep his tears away from the eyes of Miss Sophie, who was dancing in the rain with happiness and a charming smile on her soft cushioned majestic face. Her yellowish-white face and her cushioned cheeks were the glow of her beauty for which any Prince would fall within a fraction of the sunlight, and this was the mere result of the same. She was really happy at that point but hardly was she aware that her only friend's heart was absorbing tears full of wear and fear.

Prince Theodore tried his everything to bring his life back on track after reclining, after accepting the fact that Miss Sophie was never meant to be his pride and therefore he ought to move on to find some solitary peace in the state by serving the people who deserved betterment in their lives. As the tension between both the princely states was high, Prince Theodore could not attend the event of the marriage of his beloved, Miss Sophie Diamandis who was now at last married to the heir of the Galanis and serving as the Royal Highness of Hellada, along with the soon to be crowned Emperor, Xenofon Galanis!

It was nearly the fall of the night at this point on the 29th of August 1752, when Prince Theodore was administrating the villagers who were returning to their wooden homes, built with plywood and extraordinary architecture out of the artistic capabilities they had as Greeks who were devoted to the Greek gods. The state of Hellas was surely peaceful at times but only the conflicts with their neighborhood, Kingdom of Hellada disturbed them and refined them towards aggression and a state of unnecessary warfare which until now had only been limited to the foreign countries surrounding the Greek Empire and those of the West! If there was something that concerned Prince Theodore the most, apart from Miss Sophie then it was the utter possibility of war that could take place at any point if the resistance between both the armies and the respective Kingdoms led away on the border. Prince Theodore's efforts to resolve the condition to peace were useless and all that remained now on stake was the promise Miss Sophie had made to him that no matter what happens, she would persuade Her Highness, her husband, and the Forthcoming Emperor of Hellada, to refrain from any activity against the princely state of Hellas, restoring the glory of the Greek Empire to unity once again.

The rest led in the hands of God and if she failed, maybe he would have no option but to defend his kingdom in the war by armed munitions as well... He wished happiness for everyone, for his royal family, for his fighters, for his servants, for his administration, and of all, for the forthcoming Empress of the Hellada Kingdom, Miss Sophie Galanis… the majestic woman for whom he never expressed his love. Wish things could go the way he wished for, but maybe that was not the case for their tale of love, in this classical tragedy.

~My love for her is purer than the purity of the love-dwelled ocean itself amidst which I hope the majesty of the universe will allow me to forever love her, if not, marry her.
