Chapter 2

"Where the hell am I?" Akira rubbed his head as he muttered.

The place he was currently in was completely dark to the point where he couldn't even see himself. He knew a nuclear bomb had killed him, but he never expected the afterlife to be this way.

"F**k, am I going to be here forever?"

Bursting from anger, Akira began walking in the darkness to see if he could find even a tiny remnant of light.

He realized that no matter how far he walked, he would never be tired, hungry, or thirsty. All he felt was boredom at having to keep wandering in the middle of this darkness.

Just as he was thinking of giving up walking, he caught sight of bright light, much like the light at the end of a tunnel, and with that, Akira's hopes were renewed, and in a rush of strength, he began to run towards the light.

The light slowly grew more potent to the point where Akira had to close his eyes tightly to avoid going blind. And when he opened his eyes again, he realized that he was already in a deserted forest with no people around him.

"I went back to earth?" Akira wondered.

Looking at his arms, he realized that he was still the same as before, but his clothes seemed utterly different from those he usually wore.

Feeling something in his chest, Akira stuck his hand inside the black blazer he was wearing, and when he did, he felt a document inside one of the hidden pockets of the blazer.

"What's that?"

Unable to contain his curiosity, Akira opened the document and realized that inside it was a bank card, an address, and a key that seemed to belong to some apartment.

These things made Akira slightly confused, but he quickly accepted the situation he was in. He didn't know why he took his situation so quickly, but he thought that would be for the best.

"I think I need to go to this address-" He couldn't finish his thought because he realized that he was lost in this desert, so how could he know where the nearest town was.

Akira didn't have to break his head to think about how to get out of the desert because he heard a message in his head, which made him jump with fright.

"F**k! I have been reincarnated!" He shouted excitedly.

Akira finally came to his senses when he heard the message from the system. He knew that having a system meant that he either reincarnated or went crazy in the head, and Akira was sure that he was not crazy.

He was once a great conqueror of women and an otaku and managed to reincarnate. This world is fair!

"Maybe some goddess fell in love with me and decided to reincarnate me?" He thought with a smile on his face.

But his thoughts were soon interrupted due to the new messages the system was sending him.

[Welcome, host, to the Cool Acting System! The system works straightforwardly. All you need to do is act cool in front of other people or have cool actions that affect others. When you act cool, you get Cool Points that can be redeemed for anything anime-related or novel from the system!]

"I am blessed, you may not know the system, but in my past life, I was considered the coolest guy in the country." Akira said in a narcissistic tone.

Receiving no response from the system, Akira put his head down, but soon after, he heard new messages in his head that made him get excited.

[Congratulations! You have received a starter package! This package can only be purchased at the beginning, so the system recommends the host not to miss this opportunity to get the starter package!]

The message he received from the system made Akira instantly happy. He knew that getting a few cheats, in the beginning, would make his life easier by at least fifty percent, so with a big smile, he opened his system screen and went to collect his starter reward.

"F**K, where's the reward?!" Akira questioned the system with anger in his tone.

[Ding! Answering the host, the starter pack can only be obtained when the host enters the apartment booked for him. It is worth noting that the host's apartment information is on the document in his hand].

Akira slowly calmed down, but that was only for a few moments because he realized that his system would be useless until he could get to the apartment he received from the system.

"Damn, at least tell me which direction I should go." He said with a bit of resentment in his tone.

[Ding! Replying to the host, the system will only be fully activated once he enters the apartment he was booked into].

As he had expected this response, Akira was not angry and just decided to use a tactic he had used once to get to sleep with a beautiful woman who worked for a tour company.

Akira knows that the sun rises in the east. Hence, as it was noon, he stretched his right arm in the sun's direction so that the front part of his body was the northern correspondent, and automatically the back part of his body corresponded to the south. His left arm then met in the west direction where the sun sets.

"I never thought that one day I would have to orient myself by the sun..." He muttered as he began walking south.

...

Walking for a few hours, Akira was already covered in sweat all over his body. This was the first time he had walked so much in his life. As if the heavens wanted to reward him for walking for so long, he spotted a group of vans parked in a part of the desert. And without much thought, he went towards this group of vans to hitchhike back to the city.

His presence soon caught the people's attention in the vans, and when they saw that it was a boy covered in sweat, they immediately shook their heads with smiles. The scene of lost people in this desert was usual for them, so they were not surprised to see Akira walking toward the vans.

"Hey kid, are you lost?" A mustachioed man said with a smile on his face.

The people chatting around also chuckled slightly when they saw Akira's tired expression.

"Sir, can you give me a ride into town?" Akira didn't care about people's laughter. He was too tired for that.

With a laugh, the mustachioed man said, "No problem, many young people get lost in this desert, and we usually help them back home, so where are you from?"

Akira was very happy to hear that the man would help him get to town, but his final question left him with a strange expression. This was because he didn't know where he was. The country where he previously lived didn't have a desert, so how could he know where he came from? Besides, what would happen if he said he came from a country that cannot even exist in this world?

"Where are we?" Akira asked in a tone where he showed slight confusion. It was as if the fact that he had been under the sun for a long time made him have trouble remembering where he was.

The mustachioed man nodded, noticing Akira's confusion, then said with a smile, "Oh, you look like you have sunstroke. We are in Japan, of course! Come on, get in the van. After you get some rest, you can tell me where you want me to drop you off."

The man didn't realize it, but Akira had a smile on his face when he heard he was in Japan.

"Japan... Uh! I guess this is a standard plot for reincarnation." He thought.

Already inside the van, Akira took the document he had received with his apartment information, and without worrying too much, he gave the address to the mustachioed man.

When the mustachioed man looked at the address where Akira lived, his smile froze.

Noticing the man's abnormality, Akira thought there was something wrong with his address.

"What happened? Is something wrong?" Akira asked, confused.

The mustachioed man stared at Akira for a few moments before saying, "No... it's rare for people from this street to venture out into this desert. After all, you'll rarely see billionaires walking this desert unaccompanied."

Saying these words, the mustachioed man went to talk to his companions, leaving Akira alone, lost in thought.

"Billionaire? Wait, you mean I'm a billionaire?" Akira thought.

Even though he wanted to, he still couldn't disguise the enormous smile on his face. Only he knew what the word billionaire meant. He had practically infinite money.

"F**k, looks like taking care of those married women in my past life was a good deed." Akira thought with a smile on his face.

...

The trip to his apartment wasn't very long because after he joined the van, only two more people who were lost in the desert joined as well, and soon after a few hours, the group driving the van left back to the city.

The mustachioed man driving the van Akira was in didn't say many words for fear of offending Akira. So after dropping Akira off in front of his apartment, the mustachioed man quickly drove away, leaving Akira staring into the distance at the van at high speed.

"He didn't even let me thank him for the ride."

Shaking his head, Akira looked at the apartment he had received from the system, and he had to admit, this was the biggest apartment he had seen in his entire life. Just looking at this vast apartment gave him a few chills in his stomach.

"I can't waste any time. I need that starter pack as soon as possible."

With these thoughts, Akira entered the apartment with enormous ease. And the moment he stepped his feet inside the apartment, he received a message from the system.

[Ding! Congratulations, host, for entering your apartment. The starter pack is already in your inventory!]

Wasting no time, Akira opened his inventory that he didn't know he possessed until a few moments ago, and when he did, he discovered that the starter pack was there waiting for him to open it.

[Ding! The starter pack contains one bloodline, artifact, clothing, and skill. Do you wish to open it?]

Akira immediately became severe. His heart began to beat faster, and he had many worries now. His future would depend on this package. If his luck is good, he will have a smooth path in the future. But if luck is not on his side, his future direction is bitter.

"Open the starter pack." He said.

[Ding! The starter pack opened... Congratulations, host, for receiving: 1x Uchiha Bloodline, 1x Kusanagi, 1x clothing of your choice, 1x Supreme Chakra Absorption Skill]

Akira closed his eyes after seeing everything he received from his starter pack. He calmly went towards the kitchen and picked up a glass of wine and a cigar. Walking up to the balcony of his apartment, he looked out over the entire city that was shining brightly on this beautiful full moon.

His melancholy gaze at the city and the glass of wine gave the impression that he was an expert on top of the world and no longer had any feelings of happiness.

"So lonely... on top of the world..." His murmur filled with melancholy only made the scene even more mysterious.

People passing by the street where Akira's apartment was located suddenly stopped and looked up only to see Akira sipping a glass of wine while appearing to be mourning.

"F**K, WHAT DOES THIS IDIOT MEAN BY BEING LONELY ON TOP OF THE WORLD?!" A man walking by on the street said with a loud shout earning a nod from the others walking by.

"Those billionaires have problems in their heads!"

It was a shame for these people that Akira was not listening to them and concentrating on randomly rambling about the world.
