Forgotten; Unfinished

Alex, Anna, and Rica were running away when they heard a loud bang behind them.

They did not look, but they knew Angelina had done something that would give everyone enough time to run to the guild building.

Enter the guild building; most people have already entered the underground bunker and are on their way out of the city.

Angelina finally arrived at the guild building and shut the door.

When they saw her, all of the remaining mages activated their enchantment magic.

The loud bang on the building was heard all around, but no one seemed to care, and everyone began to enter the bunker.

The enhancement would not take long, so they needed to hurry up.

*crack 

*Bang

As expected, it did not take long before the guild building collapsed.

Fortunately—no, unfortunately—not everyone was able to return alive.

"That is how it is. Nonetheless, it is better than I expected."

Angelina was disappointed that she could not save everyone, but now is not the time to be down.

Fortunately, no one heard her words; otherwise, they might assume she was being sarcastic because of how she said it.

It did not take long, and everyone had arrived far from May City.

The area has numerous shelter cabins for emergency situations like this.

Mayor Homes, along with his butlers and maids, is serving porridge in the center of the gathering.

It appears that his manor also has a secret tunnel leading outside of the city.

Along with the people who evacuated to the mayor's manor, everyone who arrived here is safe and sound.

The only thing they needed was to rest until the monster wave subsided.

Feeling the fatigue on their bodies, Angelina, Anna, and Rica sat down as soon as they saw that they were finally taking a breath.

It could be their feelings, but they feel like a month has passed in the few minutes they have spent on the battlefield.

"I can not believe we all survived."

"Yeah, I thought I was going to die, but everything went fine."

Angelina and Anna talk to each other while reflecting on what happened earlier.

Although Angelina is confident that she can survive on her own, many things can happen on the battlefield.

That is why she felt as if the imaginary large rock she was carrying had finally been thrown down. 

'Everything is going to get better now, right?'

Angelina could not help but wonder about the future. 

Rica suddenly stands up and looks around. 

Anna immediately noticed her movement and started to ask.

"Is there something wrong?"

Rica began running without responding to her.

"Hey, where are you headed?"

Looking in the direction, they realized she was returning to the tunnel from which they had come.

Angelina and Anna decided to follow her to find out what was going on.

"Move away!"

"I am sorry, but we will not let anyone pass here until the monster wave passes."

"I said, move away!"

Rica tries to get past the guards who guard the tunnel's gate.  

However, no matter what she did, she could not make a breakthrough, so instead of wasting time, she began to look around, as if looking for someone. 

She looked everywhere, even bothering some people, but she could not find the person she was looking for.

Angelina and Anna finally catch up.

After Anna grabs her hands, Rica finally stops running around. 

"What's wrong with you? Did you forget something?"

Angelina is silent but she has the same question so she decided to wait for the answer.

While this was going on, Beatrice eventually found the three of them.

Despite the fact that she felt she had forgotten something, nothing unusual had happened, so she approached them.

While walking to their position, she realized something was wrong with the atmosphere. 

"Has something happened?"

"I think we should go somewhere silent."

The people are staring at them, so Angelina decides to talk because she believes Rica needs to rest.

Everyone needs to rest after the battle.

"NO! He is not here! He is not here! We need to go bac— Huh?"

Rica, on the other hand, declined the offer and looked at them with a surprised expression.

She came to a realization.

"Alex! Are you forgetting Alex?"

Her voice conveys her desperation, and while she appears to be unaware of what is going on, her mind is focused on discovering the truth. 

She recalls that they entered the tunnel together, but after that, everything became hazy for some reason, and she could not remember anything until they exited.

But how come they forgot about him?

Is someone doing that?

She has a few questions for the perpetrator, but she has no idea who it is, so she decided to focus on making them remember his existence.

"Alex? Why do I feel like I know that name?"

"Me too, it feels familiar…"

"Huh? It doesn't ring any bells to me."

Anna and Beatrice are both drawn to the name, but Angelina has no idea who she is referring to. 

It is too soon to speak, but the first thing she noticed while observing them was that Anna and Beatrice are smartphone users, whereas Angelina is not, so the two of them are drawn to the name Alex. 

"Alex? Alex!!! I finally remembered! Where is he?"

"I finally remember him, too! What is happening? How did I forget about him for a second?" 

"I am still confused about this Alex person." 

It did not take long for Anna and Beatrice to remember Alex, but Angelina still has no idea who he is.

This proved, in some way, her hypothesis that being a smartphone user may have something to do with it. 

While still thinking about this person, a card flies out of her pocket.

Angelina is surprised to see her adventurer card floating and glowing. 

However, it appears that she is the only one who can see this, as no one else was startled by the sight.

She decided to reach for the card, and then an unknown phenomenon occurred. 

She feels as if she is watching someone else's life, but she eventually remembers who Alex is. 

"I also remember him now."

"Wait! Huh?"

Rica appears to be uncomfortable after hearing her words, but it appears that remembering Alex is not solely determined by whether she is a smartphone user or not. 

"We should look around for him." 

Angelina decided not to think about why she had forgotten him because they needed to find him right now.
