Aaron's body was crushed, yet his mind was not. His system presented him with a question.
[Activiate Golden Wind and Skelengelica simultaneously?]
[Yes] [No]
Aaron didn't know what would happen if he were to press yes, but he reckoned that if it was asked by the system, it must be useful.
[>Yes<] [No]
In the real world, the Shadow Lord had dropped his body, when he had heard rattling bones, which intrigued him. He had killed the skeleton, so surely there should be another.
There wasn't another one there. Only the violently shaking body of Aaron Stone. The Shadow Lord picked up the crushed body, wondering about what was making it vibrate.
Aaron's shattered skeletal body exploded in a grandiose fashion, sending searing light across the throne room, leaving large burns in the body of the Shadow Lord, which were healed within seconds. Aaron's bones went flying up to his skull, even in their shattered state..
The bones began to rebuild themselves, as the black shards formed bones once more. The body floated above the ground. The bones that formed looked as black as night, and no light reflected off them, meaning that the black figure wasn't a cause of shadow, but simply due to Aaron being Aaron.
Aaron's body appeared lifeless as it was rebuilt. The bones were simply standing up, so he wasn't controlling it. The only thing unusual was the scythe in his hand.
The light died away, as the Shadow Lord walked up to the body of Aaron, and prepared to crush it again. Nothing seemed off about the lifeless skeleton.
There was a sudden flash of Light, as Aaron appeared behind the Shadow Lord, holding his scythe in his right hand. The Shadow Lord turned around, but a blinding light shot through him, as another shot of light went from his head to his toes, as many more of these lights went flying through the Shadow Lord.
"Slice of a Thousand Lights!"
[New Skill Learned: Slice of a Thousand Lights]
As the lights shone brighter, the Shadow Lord screamed. He knew what was happening, and didn't like it. His body began to leak even more light, as he exploded outwards. His shadowy body dissipated, as the system sent him a notification.
[You have killed: Level ??? Demonic Lord of Shadows]
[Do you wish to inherit the title?]
[Yes] [No]
Aaron was confused. By killing the Demon Lord, you become the Demon Lord? Quite intriguing, but no. He was a holy soldier. It even said so in his evolutionary name.
[>No<]
[Understood. Finding suitable reward as replacement....]
Two more notifications had been sent, but Aaron ignored it, because he was eager to learn of his new rewards.
[Metamorphosis Lv. 1 has been given by the system.]
[Title "Sealer of Fate" has been given.]
[Fate Sealer Lv. 1 has been given.]
"Metamorphosis? Fate Sealer? What in God's name do those do?"
[Metamorphosis Lv. 1]
[Allows for temporary transformation into another being using bones made of mana. When Metamorphosis occurs, you become a skeletal version of a monster. More metamorphic transformation can be unlocked with levels.]
[Fate Sealer Lv. 1]
[Allows for one to write the fate of another person. You can write for them to die, or for them to be immortal. Anything you wish. You can only affect minor things currently, but you can affect major things as you use this skill more.]
"Oh, these are nice skills. Let's find someone to test it out on..."
Aaron looked over at the Demon Lord Assistant, who was just sitting on the ground, dumbfounded. Aaron walked over to him, and put his skeletal hand on the demons forehead, as his hand glowed grey.
The demons face then began to open like a book, as he became able to imprint whatever text he wanted on it.
'This demon will run away right now.'
The demons face folded back in, almost like it never happened, as the demon began to stand up, and run away. So it did work.
Aaron looked around the hall, and decided that he wanted to teleport to Light. He wondered how himself and Yua were doing. He teleported five meters to the right of them, and looked up smiling, only to have his face turn into a look of despair.
Light and Yua had hundreds, if not thousands of magical attacks shoved into them. Aaron looked upon them, as he saw blood fall from some open wounds of Light. He had died protecting Yua, as he heard a group of humans yell something.
"Monsters are our enemies! Those who help demons must perish!"
All Aaron could see was red. His body began to shake, as his anger began to take control. He had bought them, and raised them, if only for a day or two, but they were like friends to him, and they had been killed by a group of humans.
The demonic prophecies were right. Humans are the real monsters.
Aaron looked up, and saw the Arch-Bishop who he had talked with was part of the group, but not the leader.
This caused an inhumane scream to come out of him. Like the sound chalk makes as it screeches across a whiteboard. His body began to glow a dark red colour, as his Mana began transforming into pure, unbridled rage energy.
The human's looked towards him, and, in their stupidity, believed he was just another demon. Their raised their hands, and prepared to throw Holy Magic at him, when the ground cracked away from them, leaving them floating away in midair.
[New Boundless Skill 'Field of the Skelengel' unlocked.]
[Part of the Boundless Telekinesis ability line. Allows for manipulation fo the world in real time.]
Aaron began floating towards the group, his wings doing absolutely nothing. He held nothing in his hands, because he didn't need them in this. He had all the power he needed in his Field of the Skelengel. He stopped walking as he was six feet away from the group, as his voice spoke quietly, with his head towards the ground.
"Unforgivable. Unforgivable. Unforgivable."
He repeated this chant for a few seconds, before he lifted his head into the air, revealing his blazing crimson eyes.
"Unforgivable!"
And with that, he placed his hands on the lead soldier's head, this being the Bishop Erskine Rote, and inflicted pain upon it. The pain of his emotions. It caused mental and emotional pain to him, as his body broke apart from the sheer anger that was going through. His body split into thousands of bloody pieces, as Aaron began to walk forwards. He was sick of this shit. He didn't want to bother people, but then they went and did this. This is what happens when you provoke the wrong person. His hand touched the head of every person there, destroying each one, as his body became covered in red blood, which had a decent contrast to his black bones.
His hand finally rested on the only Arch-Bishop he knew. Mark. Mark Exust.
"You could've guessed what would happen when you messed with me, couldn't you? Now you pay the price."
Mark was about to start begging, but it was too late. He had already been destroyed. He couldn't speak anymore.
Aaron turned off his Field of the Skelengel, as the blood sprayed around the magical field became laid on the battlefield. He turned to face his dead slaves. From monsters bought on a whim to decent monsters with proper emotions, it hit hard.
"System, can you activate Golden Wind to revive them?"
[No. I alerted you earlier but you had left the alert alone. You were too eager with the other messages.]
[Alerts]
[Light has been killed]
[Yua Tsanru has been killed]
Aaron was devastated. He wasn't able to help his own slaves. He pinned this blame on the humans, yet, deep down, he blamed himself for not being there to protect them from the humans.
He was sick of them. He was sick of humans. He wasn't going to wipe them out, however. He wanted them to attack monsters. He was going to make them think that they could do whatever they wanted with this world, with no regards for the monsters, or the intelligent demons.
And then, he would strike. He would kill them. Not at once, but slowly. Taking over the entire surface for himself, while hitting home with the humans that they were no longer in control.
After all, where's the fun in a world without a Final Boss?
Sorry for the lack of chapters as of today and yesterday. I'm really tired because of my exams, but that should stop in around two-three days.
Also, Light and Yua are now dead. How do you feel about that?
