Chapter 3 - See You Later.

Later that afternoon, Kyouma received an anonymous letter addressed directly to him. It was written in a neat handwriting and read:

Dear Kyouma,

I hope you enjoyed your stay at the school. I am glad to hear that you are doing well. I am sorry that I cannot personally meet you, but I promise that I will come to see you soon.

Sincerely, Kyoko Aihara.

Kyouma read the note a couple of times then placed it on the desk in front of him. He stared blankly at it. This Kyoko person was apparently one of the most popular students in the entire School. Kyouma was curious about who exactly was this Kyoko person and why she was writing such sweet notes.

Shinoa then bust-out opened the door with a pretty mad and annoyed face. She then asked with a smiling annoyed face "Kyouma, why did Kyoko sent you a letter?" Kyouma replied with a scared tone "Uhh.. I don't know, i don't even know who this person is." Shinoa then said with an angry face "Uh huh..." She was clearly upset with what happened. She then let out a frustrated sigh and then turned towards Kyouma and explained. "Kyoko is one of the girls in my class and the most popular" I don't know what She wants from you but what I do know is She's only trouble. Just ignore that letter and don't get involved with Her. Anyways wanna go out on a date? Shinoa said. Kyouma nodded eagerly. "Great lets go!" Shinoa exclaimed happily with a cute giggle. Kyouma looked at her puzzled. Why on earth is she so happy about going on a date with me. Maybe because it's the first time I've met someone she actually likes. Kyouma wondered where they are headed. After that,

They walked together until they reached a park, they sat on a bench together, Shinoa then pulled out her phone to play video games, as expected. Kyouma stayed silent as he watched her fight monsters and kill enemies, he liked watching her like that. Kyouma loved watching her interact with the other girls. Then suddenly a loud explosion rang through the air and a giant wolf like creature came soaring towards them and Kyouma panicked for a moment, but then relaxed. Shinoa sighed and looked at Kyouma worriedly "Are you alright, Kyouma?" she asked. He just nodded. Shinoa explained to Kyouma what that creature that is infront of then is "This creature is called a 'Ghost' they are creatures that came from the 'Alcatraz' they're demons who escaped from there and also the reason why our school exist, to train us defeat these demons" Shinoa then opened her palms pointed it at the Ghost and then a strong powerful light bursted out of Shinoa's Hands. "That's my ability. I call it 'The Bane of Aether'." Kyouma noticed the Ghost turn towards them, as its head began to glow red and purple. "Its eyes" Kyouma whispered. "What about them?" asked Shinoa. "Their eyes have a glow in them." Kyouma replied. Shinoa was shocked. She pushed Kyouma out of the way and a beam of black and blue passed through his sight as He was falling off the ground. Kyouma heard a silent voice saying "thank you for the fun date, I love you." Kyouma hit the ground and when He opened His eyes, Shinoa was no where to be found as well as the the Ghost. Then the realization shocked him "What the hell..." Kyouma thought as He tried to stand up. Suddenly a loud bang caused Kyouma to jump a foot in the air and fall down on the ground again. "What is that noise…" He asked himself, as he stood up and walked towards the source of the sound. He walked down the path and eventually found the source of the noise: Shinoa laying unconscious next to an empty building lying in a pool of blood next to her. Kyouma couldn't understand what he was seeing. "Shinoa!?" Kyouma screamed and ran towards her. "SHINOA!!"

He kneeled down beside her and tears started streaming down his face. "Wake up" he pleaded, shaking Shinoa gently "Please wake up" He begged, he was starting to panic, the adrenaline rush leaving his body leaving him with nothing but fear. Tears started flowing freely down his cheeks. "What's happening? Where are we? How did we end up here?" He said while frantically wiping his tears away "Shinoa please wake up" he cried. He then leaned forward and hugged her tightly. "Shinoa". Kyouma sobbed.
