Frozen Milk needed to stop that battle climax for his favour but before this he seriously rethought everything. Wasn't the real climax not Frozen Milk telling them the truth? About this world and his identity?
If Frozen Milk finally let them know, how would they react? Would they abandon him, sneer at him, hate him? He shuddered at the thought, it was too scary and horrible. He didn't want to think about it but it was time to reveal everything. He couldn't let them remain clueless.
Frozen Milk looked at Glimpse Water and his heart was soothed a bit, after all, Glimpse Water accepted it easily but this was because he was also an author and had transmigrated himself, so it was nothing too abstract for him, but for the other three who grew up in this world and took it naturally as their reality and didn't question their existence...
How would they react?
As Frozen Milk watched them fighting with each other like usual, Frozen Milk's mind furiously worked out the situation.
He was scared. He had to admit. After all, after everything he didn't want to lose them and especially not have them hate him, even though their infatuation with him was not really normal.
"Everyone, listen," Frozen Milk braced himself to let a huge bomb drop on their heads and it was up to them whether or not it would blow them into bits and pieces or not.
He motioned everyone to sit down on the ground next to him. The sun shone and its light illuminated Frozen Milk while the others sat with him in a circle. The wooden ground of the garden was quite comfortable and he was too busy to move his butt across the ground then to pay attention to his characters.
They viewed him with strange expression until finally, Prota spoke up, "Frozen Milk, if you're not comfortable, please sit on my lap."
Wasn't that the equivalent to 'Please sit on my face'? Frozen Milk's dirty mind never seemed to stop working and he slapped himself and wished he was close enough to let Prota also experience what force his hand held!
"I'm fine," Frozen Milk had to keep face and pretend he didn't hear anything. Prota could've either meant it in a good way or he could've meant it in a not-safe-for-work way.
"So, why we here in a circle?" Glimpse Water was bored playing a peaceful family with everyone.
"I... I am your creator," Frozen Milk choked out and everyone quieted down.
"Yes, you are," Prota's voice softened and he had a gentle gaze.
Fuck! Don't look at me like I'm crazy! Don't look at me like you're coaxing a kid's vast fantasy! Don't look at me like I need to be pitied!
"I am serious."
"We accept anything you tell us, my Lord," Vil gave him the same eyes.
"I agree, after all, you are the messenger of the Lord."
Holbe! Don't bring this up again! Are you making fun of me? Did you revert back to trying to be snarky? Is that how all of you treat me after I am horribly agonising telling you the truth? Is this what I deserve?
"No, I am serious. How should I break this down?" Frozen Milk was deep in thoughts when Glimpse Water finally understood.
"Father, you ain't thinking about really telling them?"
"What? What?" Prota hated it when those two pretended to be on a wavelength with their secrets!
"I have no other choice, my son," Frozen Milk's tone was severe as if they were telling everyone he had cancer.
"No, you cannot father!"
"I have to, please don't make it hard for me," Frozen Milk had no idea how it turned into a soap opera but he loved being dramatic.
"My Lord, if you perish, I will perish with you!"
Fuck! Don't say ominous things like that! We just escaped life and death, don't go and raise another flag here! Away! Away with all the flags! None of them are welcome!
"I'm not going to die, so don't die with me. However, it might be something way worse. Something that will question your existence, I think you have the right to know. If I tell you, will you still want to be with me?"
"No matter what it is, I will always stay by your side!" Prota's tail made itself apparent again and even his puppy ears excitingly twitched. Prota even wanted to rub his face against Frozen Milk but stopped himself last second because Frozen Milk seemed serious.
"It's ok, please trust us," Holbe's beautiful smile encouraged Frozen Milk.
"If I say I won't, will you punish me, my Lord?" Vil anticipatingly stared at Frozen Milk.
"No," Frozen Milk took it upon himself to stab Vil first before he would stab him another dozen times after revealing the truth.
"However, thank you," Frozen Milk smiled and everyone was even more viciously stabbed in their hearts. Frozen Milk's smile made them feel warm and fuzzy inside and they wanted to instantly hug him, pin him down and squeeze his adorable face to their heart's content.
They had to take a sharp breath to swallow down these desires.
"Please, tell us," Prota was the first to recover.
"I guess, it can't be helped. I had hoped it would stay our secret..." Glimpse Water mumbled and Prota's ears perked up.
Would they finally reveal their secret? Would Prota finally not be excluded anymore? This was too wonderful! Heaven on earth!
Frozen Milk calmed his nerves before opening his mouth. Would they really not hate him? This cursed world, their tragic backstories, all the things they had to suffer through, would they really forgive him?
Would they really continue to stay by his side?
Frozen Milk looked at them with tender eyes, he loved them all a lot but now it felt like he was raising the hugest death flag of them all.
Everything went too smoothly, was this the climax where everything would go down now?
Frozen Milk took a deep breath before saying, "By your creator, I meant that you are all characters inside the book I was writing. I am the author and this world is a fiction that I have been creating."
