Ch.3 Tears

<p>We walked into the alley and found my mom. I ran over to her.<br/><br/>"Mom!" I yelled.<br/><br/>"Oh! Your back," she said hugging me. "Who is this?" <br/><br/>"This is Zennith, he doesn't have a family." <br/><br/>She looked at him shocked. "You poor thing. You are welcome to stay with us for as long as you'd like."<br/><br/> "Thank you." he said meaningfully. <br/><br/>I smiled at him. He seemed to look happier. We sat down on the ground. I sat against the wall and he sat next to me. He looked at the ground. The once happy face changed so fast. I looked up to see that Astrid had hobbled all they way over to see us.<br/><br/>"And who might you be?" she asked Zennith.<br/><br/>He looked up slowly at her and stayed quiet.<br/><br/>"This is Zennith. He is new." <br/><br/>"Oh, welcome to factory 11."<br/><br/>He remaind silent while looking at the ground again.<br/><br/>"He is not very talkative. Anyways how is your leg?" I asked her.<br/><br/>"It hurts really bad. Surprisingly, when they came to change my bandages this morning they gave me some medicine to help with the pain." <br/><br/>"Really?" <br/><br/>"Yep."<br/><br/>She hobbled over and sat down next to me.<br/><br/>"Are you sure that your gonna be able to do tree transport."<br/><br/>"Yes. I am sure." <br/><br/>I looked back over at Zennith, he had his knees pulled to his chest.<br/><br/>I put my hand on his shoulder, "Are you alright." <br/><br/>His head popped up as if he was in shock. <br/><br/>"Hey?" <br/><br/>"Yeah, I am fine." he said half alseep.<br/><br/>"Exhausted?" <br/><br/>"No, I-" he paused. <br/><br/>He looked at me with beady eyes.<br/><br/>"Is he okay?" Astrid asked.<br/><br/>"I think so." I said running my hand along his back.<br/><br/>He remained still but I could feel the muscles in his back begin to loosen. We sat in silence for a few minutes before the alarm sounded, which meant it was time to go back to work. I stood up and stretched. <br/><br/>"A little help?" Astrid asked.<br/><br/>I held out my hand and helped her to her feet. We turned and was going to walk away but Zennith still hadn't gotten up yet.<br/><br/>"Zennith?" I asked looking at him. He didn't move a muscle. "Zennith." I said gently and nelt next to him. <br/><br/>I moved him with my hand "Hey." he looked up at me, his eyes filled with tears and the tears fell. <br/><br/>"Are you alright?" I asked him.<br/><br/>He wiped the tears from his eyes and looked at me embarrassed.<br/><br/>"I am sorry." he said, attempting to stand up but falling backward into the wall. I held out my hand to help him up he took it and got to his feet. <br/><br/>"Don't be." I said walking over to Astrid. <br/><br/>"We should get going so we aren't late and get yelled at." Astrid suggested.<br/><br/>"Yeah." Zennith said.<br/><br/>Astrid and I looked at each other in shock and all 3 of us began our short walk to the back of factory 11....</p>
