Chapter 71: ME

The Sung household was unusually quiet over breakfast this morning.

"The fish taste nice Jinah.."

"Mhm..." Jinah nodded

'She looks tired...' thought Jinwoo.

Jinah stifled a yawn as she mechanically brought a spoonful of rice to her mouth, the dark circles under her eyes were showing how little sleep she had gotten the previous night.

They talked a lot about Hunter's stuff yesterday till midnight and now only she was looking tired.

'Boo, it's good to be a hunter..'

Her mind had been whirling with thoughts of yesterday's dinner. 

 She replayed Azaroth's compliments about her cooking over and over.

He was the first boy her age she had cooked and invited for dinner in her house so despite her usual self-assured nature, she found herself flustered by his praise in a way she hadn't experienced before, not to mention all the talking she did with him while cleaning dishes.

Jinwoo was enjoying the meal but his thoughts were also occupied by Azaroth... Azaroth's words precisely..

"You can fight what you couldn't to gain advantage." At first, the statement had seemed nonsensical. But the more he turned it over, the more he wondered if there was some deeper meaning he was missing.

Suddenly a bulb lit up in his mind and he got an idea,

A notion began to take shape - what if he didn't complete the system's daily missions for today?

He will be teleported to that penalty zone, right?

'I'm much stronger from the last time I was there...'

Jinwoo recalled the massive centuped monsters that dwelled in the penalty zone and shuddered a little.

He still remembers the centipede monster he had to run from the first time and god knows how he managed to run from it for straight 4 hours. But...if he could somehow defeat it, wouldn't that grant him some level-ups?

Jinwoo set down his chopsticks, a determined look crossing his features. Today, instead of following the system's daily missions, he would fail them and will go into the penalty zone to see how much he has progressed.

'I must become stronger!' He remembers Azaroth's strength clearly. He knows how much dedication he must have to hone that kind of swordsmanship while being a mage class. 

Just as he was steeling his resolve to take on the penalty zone, his phone started buzzing frantically. He put down the bowl of rice, and pulled out his phone to see our landlady's name flashing on the screen.

'Hmm?'

"H-Hello—"

"Jinwoo! How are you?" her excited voice crackled through the speaker before he could even greet her. "Did you see the news today? Your face is on TV! You didn't tell me you were working for such a big Guild!"

My face on TV? Eh? What was she talking about?

Jinah looked over at him with a puzzled expression as he quickly grabbed the remote and turned on the TV.

There, on the morning news broadcast, was a wide shot of our hunter's guild squad from the previous day's A-rank gate clearance. The reporter, Chaerin, was excitedly detailing how we had set a new record time.

"...led by the Hunters guild's and our Korea's new S-rank hunter, Azaroth Morningstar," she said as the camera zoomed in on Azaroth's figure in the photo standing front and center, in a black suit and sunglasses resting coolly on his smirking face. Even on the grainy television feed, he looked every bit like a novel character.

Then the camera panned across the rest of our squad fanned out behind Azaroth, and suddenly there he was, clear as day - little ol' Porter Jinwoo in all his unglamorous glory. 

He was standing at the back and his figure looked distorted, at the time he was talking to Miss Lee and that's why he had a silly-looking smile on his face. And don't even mention his unstyled and uncut hair.

Jinah's raucous laughter made him jump. She was practically doubled over, pointing at the screen while tears of mirth streamed down her cheeks.

"Oh my god, you look so stupid in that picture!" she gasped between guffaws. "Like a deer caught in the headlight! Pahahaha! When will you cut your hair? Pfft.. look like those protagonists of the dirty mangas"

"T..that..." Jinwoo flushed, feeling more than a little foolish being broadcast like that to the entire city—no! they made a world record! The whole world is going to see this picture!.

Of course, of all the shots they could have used, it had to be one with me pulling a ridiculous face.

Jinwoo cried silently but was still happy looking at the happy face of his little sister.

"Jinah, eat quickly! You still have to go to school today!"

He poaked Jinah to which she 'Grred' like a goblin.

He is excited to see how he fares against that centipede monster.

It was now 9:30 Am,

Azaroth was sitting inside the same white room while smoking a cigarette.

The room was filled with the alluring scent of two female bodies intertwined.

Yoora and Eun-Su were passed out with bare sweaty naked bodies were lying on the bed with their bare skin glistening with sweat as they lay in a tangled mess on the bed. Yoora's long legs were tangled with Eun-Su's as their big, round bottoms were on full display.

The breakfast plate that he was having now sat empty and forgotten on Eun-Su's back.

It was quite a heavenly scene for any pervert but Azaroth had a composed expression while puffing the cigarette and glancing at the empty space in front of him.

"Haa.. as expected, since the system didn't see her as an important cast, I didn't get any SP…"

He muttered.

'Now this concludes this part…'

He then ticked a box and typed 'No' on his digital wrist watch which had written- "Check if System provides SP after intercourse with other girls of the story"

And after that, a new note with an unticked box appeared on the watch's screen- "See if the awakening experiment has a higher success chance with the story characters."

He will not put the lives of his pet cat Song-Yi and his new toy SooHyun so that he will test and see the results on this poor replaceable nurse Yoora.

'Well, looking at the good side, if the experiment becomes a success, doesn't she gets to become the first artificially awakened person?'

He chuckled and used the cleaning magic on the whole room and the room became spotless in an instant.

He then looked at the big ass of Eun-Su with red markings.

Heh~

He playfully squeezed her ass cheek before exiting. Meanwhile, numerous small spider-like nanobots crawled out from under the bed and attached themselves to his naked body, automatically dressing him as he walked away.

He spotted Doctor Kim "Doctor, the nurse is a suitable specimen, start the experiment on her."

She asks, "You won't be there?" to which he responds

"I have a meeting this evening, so I'll have to miss it. But don't worry, Eun-Su is a C-rank hunter and she will be there with you."

Yup, he remembered about the appointment with Rose this evening.

Miss Kim nodded.

"Ah, Mr Azaroth, but what if the experiment really is a success this time and that nurse girl becomes more powerful than Miss Eun-Su?"

Azaroth stopped in his tracks and considered,

"Hmm, ok, let's do this. Just put her under the sleeping drug and check her vitals till I reach home, after that we'll inject the serum."

Kim's eyes brightened after listening to that.

Azaroth came up from the secret underground base and turned on the TV news. He smirked as he saw everyone talking about his debut as the new Squad leader.

"Now, the central focus of the whole world should be…ME"

Excuse for my the absence = I didn't recharge my second phone number for almost 6 months and it became unavailable, like literally got allotted to someone else.

I found out that my email was connected to that number and I didn't even knew the password. It was financially risky - my no. with someone else - and so I had to change my number from my Addharcard (Indian ID) which took 20 days (Crys is govt - But I'm also a lazy bum who didn't show up in time as I'm a night owl.) and my bank account (which took 1 day), all this stuff in the middle of my placements... getting my Google account back was the least of my concerns.

Now that everything is fine, I'm back Babby~
