Training arcs are my favorite arcs in Isekai but not shonen

(A/N how do you guys keep finding this fanfiction ? I tried looking everywhere, in the explore tab, fanfiction tab, anime fanfiction tab, new, and I can't find MY OWN fanfiction without searching for it by name, so how do you guys just find it ?)

Sesshomaru used his infinity plate as he calls it, made himself some fried chicken, steak, mushrooms, and macaroni and cheese, also some salad and water; And thought about what he needed in order to actually start his adventure with magic, his mission is to prepare for the plot, but he didn't actually have to do the mission. Plus getting strong with magic would make him stronger anyways.

He had half a million dollars to work with, he panicked when he thought about where the wizard exchange would send spell books to, so he checked, apparently the spell books are E-books that are available for downloading, very convenient.

He knew he could just buy any book and get started but based on the prices of each spell book, being a mage is not a cost friendly hobby.

Sesshomaru thought of this while laying down and eventually fell asleep

The next day

Sesshomaru popped his eyes open

"I GOT IT !" He woke up and yelled out of no where

"If I want to get stronger all I have to do is....."

Time skip

(A/N LOL didn't see that one coming did you. Third person switch now.)

Sesshomaru woke up with a Serene smile upon his face.

It was ten years from when Sesshomaru had his idea what exactly was that idea ? It was actually an collection of ideas.

Sesshomaru combined two of the most popular anime training ideas, first he bought a spell book of duplication magic, then a spell book on time barriers

The first idea coming from Naruto, Naruto had the ability to make clones that could share their individual experiences with him upon combining together. The second idea came from dragon ball z

the main character goku had the idea of training in a sub-space where one day in the outside world is an entire year inside of the sub space.

The first two years of training Sesshomaru trained both of these spells several hours a day and only these spells because he knew these two spells would pay off the most in the long run

Ay first he struggled to actually make one clone, but he eventually got it by reverse engineering a technique in dragon ball z called "the fusion dance" in order trunks and Goten to fuse, they had to make sure their ki energy was perfectly even, even though trunks was slightly stronger than Goten.

So, using this method he was able to divide himself and his power evenly to create clones.

Then he eventually figured out how to create clones of equal power to himself without dividing his power, he had to divide something else instead, durability.

Just like Naruto his clones were virtually equal to the original in everything except toughness, a powerful enough attack will make the clone vanish. All of this learned in one year, by the end of the second year, Sesshomaru could make 100 "shadow clones"

The reason why progress jumped so high and fast was because at the same time he was working on time barrier magic. At the end of the first year Sesshomaru could make barriers that turned one hour of real time into twelve hours. By the end of the second year, Sesshomaru could make a barrier where one day in real time equals 90 days.

Creating clones that could help with learning time magic, and using time magic to speed the recovery of his demonic energy and creating more clones was a complete cheat.

The third year, was when he advanced to ultimate class devil and his race changed to great youkai, even though Sesshomaru could make three month, one day barriers, he chose not to because he didn't want to age too quickly, so instead he held back to 1 day equals two months barriers instead

Also at the start of year three, Sesshomaru also created an exercise of demonic aura control and manipulation by using the Naruto walking up the side of an tree technique. He wrote it and made it into an E-book, then sold it on the Wizard exchange, within hours profit was rolling in, he sold the book for $25 USD which is far cheaper than most of the books on that platform, and coincidentally, that platform has a patent system which protects "inventors" for one hundred years before people plagiarize.

Sesshomaru was still collecting hundreds of thousand dollars each and every year, even to this day seven years later. That book must be really popular.

Using the money from his profits, Sesshomaru used to fund his magic research. This combined with Sesshomaru's shadow clone spell and time barrier spell made him incredibly strong. In fact he got so good with duplication that he learned how to duplicate objects, and duplicated all of the supplies he used like toilet paper and whatnot

Also I know some of you who are misinformed about the devil ranking system are going to try to argue with me, but before you do let me correct you; There are two ranking systems amongst devils the first one is social rankings, which have five levels

Stamina is now measured in hours protagonist could run without stopping

Sesshomaru looked up from his system and smiled while taking a sip of coffee

"Ahh, success. I could probably beat Kokabiel pretty easily right now." he said

Sesshomaru than looked at the mission timer

13 hours left

'Looks like the plot starts tonight, I think.....' A thought came into Sesshomaru's head, he didn't actually know what time zone he was in

"System what time zone am I apart of." Sesshomaru

"Protagonist is right outside of the Kuoh time zone, name for specific time zone unknown." the system responded

'So apparently I'm, right beside the plot, somehow.' Sesshomaru thought to himself

Well here we are, Sesshomaru wasn't going to get involved with Issei's death because he didn't want to literally become the mc, his goal was to play with magic and goof off, not actually become the main character. So with that being said, his training was complete, he had enough magic power to destroy an entire country.

"Well damn I'm bored." Sesshomaru said and then went to his computer and then proceeded to watch old cartoons for the next 10 hours

After Sesshomaru had got good at creating clones he suddenly had more free time, and then realized he had regained his childhood, and one thing he always said he would do if he ever got his childhood back was enjoy what mostly made it so special anyways, the cartoons.

In his last life he wasn't necessarily close to family members so he often spent his free time playing PS2 or watching cartoons. Sesshomaru spent his whole day watching Ben 10, The original teen titans, the regular show, adventure time, then totally spies (really enjoys singing the opening theme song),6teen (loves that theme song too), invader Zim, avatar the last Airbender book 3, and to finish it all off he watched the last episode of Ed, Edd, and Eddy "The big picture show." An episode that made Sesshomaru tear up.

The whole time, he watched these cartoons he kept looking at the system, and Sesshomaru had that feeling, that particular feeling that you know what you must do, but don't really want to do it. Why because you know it would be hard for whatever reason. But the last episode of EEnE inspired him.

Sesshomaru wiped the tear from his face and put his armor on, not to go save Issei, but to do what he had been avoiding for ten years

He summoned his system, and clicked on the "Scenarios" tab

Sesshomaru then vanished, everything went dark

When Sesshomaru regained his vision, he saw he was out in a grass field, not the one outside his house in the sub-space, but a different place.

Hills and trees all over and not to mention large bushes.

As Sesshomaru took in his surroundings a blue screen appeared in front of him.

As Sesshomaru clicked next he suddenly felt multiple low level beings coming toward him from a distance

Scenario 1: Defeat all saibamen in allotted time

/50 Saibamen we're all over the sky

'I'll just blow them all away' I thought

I pulled out Bakusaiga from my sub space (that's right, I've mastered various space spells)

I channelled my demonic aura through the sword

The sword glowed an almost neon-light green

I stated at it in awe, but then changed my mind

All of those saibamen swirling around over me in the skies felt even weaker than me than when I was in the low class devil rank

I then had an idea, I would hold back, and only use high class power

I looked at the timer and the number changed from :25 to :24

I put Bakusaiga back in my space storage and then light traveled (A/N this is what I'm going to call teleportation when he turns into a white ball) right in the middle of the saibamen.

The crowd saibamen dispersed and I failed

Scenario failed

retry or quit

I clicked on retry and immediately started

I don't know if I was just stubborn but for some reason I refused to use duplication magic

This time I light traveled to each of the fifty saibamen and killed them one by one

The first one was right at the edge of the group, figured they wouldn't disperse and escape this time if I start from the edge

I came right up held my hand out and a green magic circle manifest; I raise the temperature of the air into ignition level and watch as the space in front of me combust, a torrent of swirling fire burns ten saibamen to ash

wait a second, if I'm a devil then why does it sound like I'm using human magic ? Why don't I just imagine a fire attack ?

It's pretty simple why I don't actually, because one thing I figured out while playing around with magic is that even though I could just imagine a large fire attack and successfully cast that spell, it's inefficient to do so.

The closer the spell is to the actual science....the more potent the spell is and the less demonic aura I have to use to actually cast the spell.

(A/N I won't be explaining things like this most of the time, just wanted to point this out for future reference.)

Back to the battle

The rest of the saibamen dispersed, then hides their presence or power level as one would say in this case

'Damn where did they go ? I fly up and look around

I'm sure some of them are hiding behind trees, and some of them are hiding behind hills and what not

The timer hits zero

Failure

I retry again

'Had I remembered their scent, this wouldn't had happened. '

This time I took a different approach, I turned myself invisible

Those saibamen looked confused as I disappeared, getting closer to the saibamen I took in their scent

They smelled of cabbage

I light travel back to my spot and begin

I form a green magic circle with the diameter of 50 inches

(Magic arrows)

Light green demonic aura in the shape of arrows shoot out of different spots of my magic circle like a machine gun striking down one Saibamen after another, like usual the crowd disperses and hides there power levels, but I don't lose track of them, I close down on the dispersing pack of moving vegetables, pull out Tokijin and start turning them into salad.

There were 33 remaining

But then something happens, a saibamen somehow jumps on my back like a book bag, and then blows himself up

It didn't hurt me at all but it did slow me down

Another Saibamen did the same thing

Then another, they willingly sacrificed themselves for each other one after the other

With each suicide bomber more Saibamen escaped my sight, and my sense of smell since all I could smell was smoke and burnt veggies

The timer runs down, and I fail again

'At this point, I was starting to lose patience, this is supposed to be a beginner level exercise but even I can't do THIS WITHOUT HAVING TO GO GOD MODE, WTF !!!' I raged, but then, I had an idea it was as if a light bulb turned on on my head

I hit the retry button

The timer starts the saibamen have not arrived at my place on the field yet, so I prepare this time

I bend down and touch the floor, a magic circle appears there, then disappears I sprint around the entire area touching everything and activating magic circles all over the place, the timer has eighteen seconds left and counting, I quickly use my magic arrow spell and watch as the 30 remaining saibamen start the same actions of hiding.

This time as the saibamen try to hide, I watch as the traps I placed triggers; Large two story spirals of fire appear with each triggered trap, by time the time hits :05 all of the saibamen have been subjugated.

(Dexterity has gained 20 points)

(New skill unlocked: tactician level 1)

'Hmph, I haven't unlocked a skill in years.' I thought

Continue repeat quit

I press continue aaaaaaannnd

"I'm going to kill you...." A sinister voice called somewhere above me

For some reason my heart sank

'Is this.....fear, how could I be afraid right now ? Especially against an obviously weaker opponent' I thought and then remembered Sesshomaru having a moment of fear against Inuyasha

A blue window popped up with words on it

Scenerio 2

I was standing on a large tree branch about twenty feet above ground, there was large trees every where

'Wait a second, I recognized that viuce' I thought to myself and then started looking for the owner of it.

The person was growling like a wild animal, looking up I seen a kid with red hair, blue eyes and a large gourd on his back

"Kid Gaara ?" I try to look up at him, who's standing on a tree branch about 15 feet above me, but when I look in his eyes, I feel...small
