Interlude-Confrontations and infiltration

TAMAKI POV

"ne...Reika" I said grabbing her attention

"hmm" she hummed slightly turning her head towards me "what?" she asks

"Do you think we will be strong?" I question

"Of course! Why do you ask? We'll get stronger and be the best Konoichi!" ever she replied confidently "-But, if you'd pick something besides being a ninja what would it be?" she asks staring at the sky

"well probably I'd still be with ka-san at the hospital helping her, you?" I replied

"I'd just to support my brothers and watch them go down in history as legendary nin. The unstoppable duo of the great Sasuke and Itachi Uchiha" stars form in her eyes briefly "but that's bit farfect'd"

"you look up to them that much?" I asked

"yeah" she sighed softly

"Even after they-" I cut myself off

"Mhm" she nodded "I still love them...even after what they did." her eyes glued to the clear blue sky, hope dancing in her eyes, but another thing too...sadness. "Its our life after all we must live it, and I don't want to live in one with despair...consumed by sorrow..." she paused, glancing down as the brim of her eyes fill with faint tears. "-they're all I got and I don't want to lose them. Even if they hate each others guts I wish for the best that I somehow I can change them.....save them, even if from themselves" she explained smiling softly at me

"How do you know that they would change?"

"I don't, but no matter how much hatred they have for each other...I know they both love me dearly" she said with a faint flame dancing in her eye "I don't know why but I can't truly hate them as much as I want to. I want to try and just keep what I have left safe to say the least."

===3rd POV=====

In the dark of night in a lone apartment Uchiha Kireina equips herself, changing into a navy blueish-black hooded crop top with fishnet undershirt, a blue jacket over it with black finger less gloves that reach her elbow and leggings, a piece of dark blue cloth acting as a small skirt of sorts, and black ninja shoes, a dark purple hooded clock to finish it off.

"I'll get strong too" she pumps her fist with a determined look on her face.She then heads out towards the gates, swiftly evading Konoha nin, to not raise any Suspicion.

Tamaki who spotted her and secretly tailed her "Reika" she called out when they were far enough from Konhoha

"I'm sorry but, don't wanna talk, just go back" she said not looking back as she sped up "don't take it the wrong way, it's nothing personal" she added

"where are you going? Your not deserting the leaf are you, are you?" Tamaki asked her bit concerned

"no" Kireina quickly replied, stoping in her tracks "just go back Mitsuri-san will be worried" she adds hastily

"Then what? Why are you running away?" the blue haired girl question, ignoring the comment

"its just something I feel like I need to do" The blueish-blackish haired girl simply said

"I-is this about your brothers? Reika are you insane, you can't go after them all alone!" Tamaki exclaimed

"What can I do to get you to leave me." she said bit irritated

"Tell me why...do you trust me?...Were friends, right." Tamaki hesitantly say

Yeah, but this doesn't involve you" Kireina retorted "I don't need to drag you into my mess"

"You know this isn't the answer"

her eye narrowed into her imfomous 'Uchiha glare' "If your talking about revenge then your wrong, I have something else in mind" the Uchiha retorted

"What does that have to do with you leaving the village?" Tamaki asked quizzically

"Everything!" Kireina mutters "Cause even if you understand, you don't!"

"so make me!" she exclaims

"Fine if that's what it takes for you to leave" Kireina huffed, taking a deep breath before starting "well do you know how there's rumors going around"

"That doesn't sound too bad, you usually just brush stuff like that off. Plus I thought you don't believe in rumors, saying that all they are is just 'pathetic form of conversation' and 'its not true. It never is'" Tamaki pointed out

"I don't" she simply replied "...I just don't want anymore negative attention drawn on me."

"What are you talking about? when did they start to effect you?"

"Of course your oblivious, just like the Others" Kireina sneered a bit, narrowing her eyes "You do know who I am or my family"

"So, what does that have to do with you?" she questioned

"Everything!" she exclaims "....I feel like a prisoner in my own village. But that doesn't mean I'm a turn tailed traitor, I love my friends there, really. but I am really tired of it all, you won't understand, even if your my friend."

"But its not we're just worried about you heck you look bit paler than usually..." she asked, trailing off

"Aye..." she said rolling her eyes, getting small irk marks forming "Stop changing the subject, ok" Kireina exclaimed

"Reika?!" the bluette letting out a soft sigh "fine...proceed"she muttered

Kireina took a sharp sigh then began "I just feel like I need to do this, please understand"

"but Reika...this is crazy you-What if you get hurt? What if you die trying?" the bluette questioned

"then so be it"

"Reika, you need to rethink this-"

"I'm not going back, If that's what you came here for...To convince me, then I'm sorry for wasting your time" she said bit stubbornly

"so, that's it *sigh* -I can't change your mind can't I?" Kireina nods curtly and Tamaki let out a soft sigh "fine, I get you and I won't stop you from doing it, whatever it is."

"I appreciate it"

"just...stay safe okay"

"yeah I will." she simply said "you do the same"

"I will. I'm sad you won't be returning but I get it, this is something you need to do and I can't stop you but what I can do is at least support you" Tamaki said

"Arigatō" Kireina muttered with a faint nod

=======Tamaki pov=========

"Reika" I whispered to myself. I was sitting on the roof of my house, staring at the stars

"Tamaki its time for dinner" ka-san called out

"hai" I said jumping down

"Is something the matter hon? you seem to be off lately...Is it about Kireina-chan?!" she asked concerningly

"I still don't get why she must be so stubborn" I pouted

"Don't blame her she had a rough childhood and experience thing someone her age should never have to experience" she reassured

"No I get that. Its just I'm afraid she might get in trouble or something worse."

don't worry dear, just have faith in here

"yeah, Arigatō ka-san" I grinned

"Mondainai, now I think we should eat before our dinner gets cold" she suggests

"hai!"

'It looks like his next stop is the hidden grass village. If he is there, then Sasuke is gonna be there. What do I do? What do I say? Will he even still love me?' my mind was spinning with all these questions and hypothetical scenarios *Pouts* "I haven't seen him in 2 whole years of course he'll change" I muttered smacking myself lightly on the forehead with my palm "...but how much?"

"I do wonder how the others are doing" I would return but if I do, I'm afraid they will keep me hostage in that wretched village. I do miss Tamaki tho, but right now I await the events to come.

"gah!" I quickly dodge an attack from what I presume is a monstrous experiment the snake left behind

I analyzed its movements and patterns while dodging its brute, force attack, he was moving almost like a mindless animal. 'man what does the snake do on these poor civilian-do I even what to find out' I thought 'This monster would destroy me if I keep fighting like this, he has the advantage in almost everything ' I conclude so instead of fighting that thing I decided to evade it so that I could escape. You know be on the defensive

'I'll make this quick' I smirked my infamous Uchiha smirk full of confidence even if my situation is bit...unfair

"so I just got to out speed it and and a break for the exit"
