When we arrived at the exact place. The hotel was covered with the deadly silence that no one can even dare to break. It was just like when I first got here, "People here are really that anti-social?" I said while my eyes are exploring the whole place.

"Hey Latrice-chan, are you really alright after all of that?" I shifted my stare on Ruru who seems to be in trouble. He was making that uncertain expression towards me. "Hmm? Why? Are you shy that I found out that you were such a crybaby?" When I teased him, he pouted as he quickly responded. "I-I'm not a crybaby!" I giggled secretly to his reply.

"Oooookayyy~!"

There will nothing to be done if we continue this, I should at least knock to one of the apartments here. I started to review the apartments, "I should at least be careful to which door should I knock." I swallowed some of the bravery with me since I haven't done something like this before. This is all new to me.

"Don't worry, if something happens. I will definitely protect you." Ruru broke my concentration, That made me look at him confusedly. He's surely looking at me with those serious eyes. I sneered, "Oh come on. What will happen? Why don't you relax for a bit." Nonchalantly I muttered.

Few more moments, I decided to knock the door straight to my direction---To be specific, I knocked a few times. But there was no response so I tried once more with a little force to make my knock sounds louder.

"Argh! Who the hell are you?!" A complaining voice came from the other side made me aware that I knocked to the wrong door. When I'm about to back out—It was too late, the door was opened by a man who looks like in his mid-30's with having a cigar in his mouth.

I gulped when I saw him not mention that I was already looking at him directly, "Huh? A little girl?" he blurted out after puffing the smoke from his cigarette.

Somehow I felt nervous, is it because I already experience this kind of situation from my teacher? But I shouldn't be standing still, I should at least say the reason why I am here.

"What do you want?" He asked in an annoyed tone. I left my mouth open without making any sounds although I can feel my hands were shaking without force. "Latrice-chan?" Ruru asked worriedly.

I must ask this man about Ruru or nothing will be done.

"What is this? If you have anything to say just say it! Stop wasting my time!" Pissed off, the man yelled at me.

"Latrice-chan, are you alright?!" Ruru asked again.

"About Ruru…!" I shouted and instantly looked down to prevent him from seeing my troubled face. "Ruru…?" The man was either surprised or startled but anyhow, I should continue.

"Do..do you know anything about Ruru? Like... His family or friends?" As I continued interrogating him, the man became silent. So I tried to look at him once more.

"You… Who the hell are you?" My eyes widened when he said that to me. "I-I don't know who are you talking about? You can't get the answers you want, so get lost!" He shouted while hurriedly stepped inside his apartment, I didn't even have a chance to ask him properly!

"Wa-wait!" He shut the door tight locked.

I walked out pissed, "Geez! What the hell is wrong with that guy?! I was just asking! He doesn't have to be mad or something!"

But if I didn't waste probably a few minutes before I asked, I think he won't be mad to me. "I guess, it's my fault too huh?" I can't help it, as irritation starts to linger inside me.

"That's all for today. We can always come back here." Ruru, that was looking at the sunset deeply said.

He was right and it's getting late. We can always come back here but I want to fulfill his wishes as soon as possible. I don't want to have any deep attachment to him.

"Okay. Let's go home."

We were on our way home.

My thoughts are overwhelmed with Ruru's matter. I can't help but think of him and the possibility that I might feel lonely when he cross the afterlife.

To be honest, I felt relieved when he saved me to those times when people tried to defile me. He also cried as if he can feel what I felt that day.

I secretly stared at him. He may just be a ghost but the way he thinks is way better than humans.

While walking, I didn't notice that my left shoulder hit some random person, "I'm sorry…" I quickly apologized as soon as possible.

"Ha…?" I heard him replied when I twitched my eyes to him. I saw that he was wearing clothing that only ancient people would wear affixed by a jet red rose cloak. Either way, he turned his head to look at me although that mysterious guy is still walking while doing so.

I stared out of nowhere because of that, there is this thing inside me that keeps telling me I shouldn't have apologized. My heart beats so fast.

"Latrice-chan?" Ruru flew in front of me to check me up. "Is there something wrong again?" He asked.

Why am I being bothered by the weird things lately? Since the day I talked to Ruru, everything is getting weirder and weirder.

"No nothing…Let's go." I let out a small fake smile just to reassure Ruru won't misunderstand.

The next day.

I was in the classroom. I noticed how the classroom desks were so far away from me. It was like my classmate were trying their best to avoid me.

Well, I can't help it. Who will be in their right mind to get closer to me after what happened the other day right? I bet everyone thinks that I'm a witch or much worse, a devil.

"Tsk. These humans! Preventing you like you has some contagious disease!" I looked at Ruru annoyingly.

I'm thankful for worrying about me Ruru but why do you have to say that I have some "contagious disease" you are not helping at all.

Finally, the teacher made his entrance. "Starting today. I will be your substitute teacher. My name is Yoshida Shigeru…" After introducing himself, the teacher fixed a gaze on me. I guess he's worried about what's my classmate doing to me.

Besides, he was the guy who tried to defend me from the other teachers yesterday. I think he is way too kind to me.

Anyhow, Mr. Yoshida started to write something on the blackboard.

Everyone went in stillness until the teacher explains what's new in the class. "Today, we will have your new classmate." Everyone squall in thrill. They seem are excited, "Teacher! Is it a boy or a girl?" One of the students asked.

"Oh, We wish she was a girl!" The boys said but the girls opposed quickly, "Eww no! We want a good looking boy--!"

They are fighting over a transferee student, both sides are having a lightning spark to each other.

"Quiet down everyone." The teacher tried to stop them as he faces outside like he was giving a signal to the person outside to step inside.

And the most awaited of everyone came to cease. It was confirmed that he was a guy after all. But every step that guy makes, he somehow being covered with a sparkly ray of sun.

"Kyaaah!" The girls started to yell in weird sound, "How handsome." They keep on commenting.

"Poof, what an ugly guy!" Ruru who unreasonably insulted the guy while laughing. I don't know if that's even true or you are just jealous because he is indeed quite handsome.

The guy smiles at everyone. Ugh, it's not like I don't like him but, is he trying to get all the attention here?

"You may now introduce yourself to everyone." The teacher commanded. As a response, the guy bowed his head and started.

"Hello everyone…My name is Mikael de arkou Angelus---" Everything seems to be in a state of normal when suddenly I saw everyone befell on stillness. No one is moving or making any sounds, either myself! I can't move any muscles at all.

I heard footsteps coming towards me, "Haha.." I can't move but my eyes were able to roam around, neither Ruru is frozen.

What is happening?!

When I came to realize, the guy was already in front of me. He adjusted his self to affixed his eyes to mine and chuckled.

"I finally found someone like you. I never thought that'll be so easy." He said but his smile never stopped.

What's with him?!

He suddenly faced Ruru, "This evil spirit keeps clinging to you right? Should I banish him so that you continue living peacefully?" My eyes were widened when I see him trying to choke Ruru on his neck. Little by little he's gripping Ruru's neck tightly.

I have to do something or Ruru will be in great danger but I can't move.

So I tried to move my fingers, I closed my eyes finally moving my whole hand to his wrist to hold it away from Ruru's neck.

"Stop hurting him!" He looked me with his surprised face as if he was not expecting me to move although I can still feel the gravity is trying to push me back at him. I didn't let him go.

"How---" I'm furiously staring directly at his sight. "Don't hurt Ruru!" as I shouted he tried to shake my hand away.

"Tch!" An annoyance sound clicked to his mouth then suddenly I didn't realize that he's already gripping my neck as I noticed that we're already at the top of the school building. I was in the edge, hanged. I didn't dare to move a muscle because of fear.

"I wonder what will happen to you if you fall from this height." He made an evil smile easily to me.

Is he serious?!
