Chapter 121

His mom and dad were trying to calm him down so that he would stop crying but all their efforts were futile. Ezra walked up to them and pushed the toys into the little boy's hands before making his way upstairs to his bedroom.

A few minutes later, the door creaked open and Tabitha walked inside after he permitted her to come inside the bedroom.

"What?"

She glared at him. "Mom said to return the toy"

"I don't want it" he blurted out "Let Raymond have it. He wants to play with it"

"He'll ruin it"

"I don't care" he stood up from the bed and rummaged through his things. 

"Thanks, Ezra. You are bossy but you're very sweet" she hugged him briefly before walking out of his bedroom. Ezra paused as he tried to make out what she meant by that statement. 

Well, that was no longer his problem.

He packed up a few of his things before swinging a jean jacket over his shoulders.
