“I want her!" shouted Jeremy, pointing at a woman in a sexy dress there. Joana gasped, along with everyone looking at her. Even though she had prepared everything, she still felt surprised. But it's good if she manages to tease the arrogant man only in a sexy dress. Starting that very night, Joana vowed to take revenge on Jeremy for her brother's death.
At an upscale nightclub in town, Joana has bagged poison powder that she will use to eliminate a man named Jeremy. She had been preparing for this plan for a long time, and her chance was only this once, so she couldn't fail.
Armed with sexy clothes and being a waitress at the club, she waited for her target to come. And without waiting long, the man finally arrived.
The boisterous voices of the nightclub patrons signaled Jeremy's presence. He is an arrogant man who hides behind his family's power. Now the enormous business empire is in his hands.
All eyes immediately fell on the handsome man with a tall, stocky build. Watching his walk, the women would fall to the ground because of his enchantment magic. But that didn't apply to Joana because she already knew who Jeremy was. Even though his face was godlike in her eyes, the man was nothing more than a cocky kid who was just because he was rich. He was the cause of her brother's death.
Jeremy was sitting casually on an extraordinary sofa, and the servants immediately surrounded him while showing off their beauty as if they were willing to give up their bodies for the handsome and rich Jeremy.
"You sycophant!" Joana mocked inwardly, seeing the behavior of the servants. If it weren't for her vengeful intent, she wouldn't even be willing to look at the evil man's face.
During the commotion of the women fighting over him, Jeremy's eyes fell on Joana, who stood behind the dim light to separate herself from the unrest in front of her. She looked uncomfortable in her very sexy clothes. Several times, the girl waved her hand to block the cigarette smoke approaching her. The girl's eyes also stole glances at Jeremy several times. This made Jeremy very interested, and he immediately pointed at the girl.
"I want her!" he shouted with his index finger pointing straight at Joana.
Joana gasped at the same time as everyone else was staring at her. Even though she had prepared everything, she still felt surprised. Even so, Joana still smiled inwardly because it seemed fate was very supportive of her mission. Without needing to find a way, she could easily approach her target.
"Pst! Joana," someone called in a half-whisper.
Joana also turned toward the sound source, which turned out to be the nightclub manager.
"Why are you still standing there? You don't know who our special guest is?" scolded the manager.
Joana nodded her head, "I'm sorry," she said.
"Hurry over there, serve him well," ordered the manager, then walked over to where Jeremy was sitting.
Joana went to the bartender's table, where Jeremy's drink was being prepared. She quietly sprinkled the poison powder she had prepared and brought it before Jeremy. Even though her heart was pounding, she felt the victory trophy was at the door, waiting to be won.
With a sweet gesture, Joana served the drink in front of Jeremy and then sat by his side but kept a distance of less than half a meter. At that time, Jeremy glanced at Joana and then raised an eyebrow as if he was attracted by Jaona's beauty and grace.
"What's your name?" asked Jeremy.
"My name is Joana, Sir," answered Joana. She introduced herself by her real name because she thought there was no way Jeremy thought the Joana he saw was the sister of his deceased ex-lover.
"Ah, she's new here, Sir. If she's made a mistake, please forgive me," said the manager with a fake smile.
Jeremy seemed to ignore the manager and instead stared at his drink. He stared at the glass for a long time and made Joana nervous. Could it be that the poison produced a different smell than Jeremy noticed?
Jeremy suddenly said, "drink," while looking at Joana.
Joana glared and became even more convinced that she had been caught. But she still tried to remain calm so as not to arouse suspicion. She smiled and said, "How can I drink your drink, Sir."
Jeremy glared at Joana and brought his face closer, "drink," he said in an undeniable tone.
"Just drink it, Joana. It won't make you drunk right away, will it," said the manager.
Joana could do nothing but obey Jeremy's orders. She couldn't fail and had to convince Jeremy that his drink had no poison. All right, she'll reach for the glass. After all, there was no way Jeremy would drink from the same glass as a waiter. Moreover, the glass is also exclusively for Jeremy only.
Joana reached for the glass with a pounding heart while Jeremy continued to watch it. She was so restless that cold sweat ran down her back. The drink was getting closer to her mouth, but Jeremy didn't stop it either. Did the man really know the plan?
Suddenly Jeremy's hand pushed the glass in Joana's hand so violently that it fell to the floor and shattered into pieces. Joana was speechless by what Jeremy did. Jeremy didn't say a word and just coded to a big bodyguard behind him.
The bodyguard seemed to understand the orders given. Without a word, he grabbed Joana's body and put her on his shoulder like putting a towel.
"Wait, what is this? Where am I going?" Joana tried to break free and slapped the bodyguard on the back, even though she knew the blow might just feel like an ant bite to the bodyguard.
"Please, manager, help me!" shouted Joan.
The manager just stayed and didn't dare to do anything. So did everyone who was there. They didn't want to meddle in Jeremy's business because they might be the unluckiest person if they took even one step forward.
In front of the club, Jeremy's car was ready with a driver in it. Jeremy went straight in and sat in the front seat while Joana was thrown by the bodyguard in the back seat. Joana's small hand quickly grabbed the door next to her. But sadly, the door was closed tightly.
The car immediately left the nightclub without caring about Joana, who was still screaming. "Please, someone help me!" she shouted, banging on the windshield, which for some reason could not break.
Until they were far from the club, Joana was still screaming for help. Seeing the noise from the screams, Jeremy was furious and immediately looked back. "Can you shut up?" he snapped with burning eyes.
Even though the aura that Jeremy gave off was very oppressive and even scary, Joana still got up the courage and looked into the man's dark eyes. "Let go of me, then I'll shut up!"
Jeremy had to move back so he could get closer to Joana. With a quick motion, he grabbed Joana's chin and threatened, "keep calm, or I'll break your neck!"
Joana immediately shrank and was really scared when hearing the threat. That was not kidding. She was silent to protect her life. Although she still didn't know where she was going, Joana knew she was in grave danger.
