In the year, 2004. A portal was opened above the Pacific Ocean. From within it sprouted out curses and concepts unknown to the human mind.
As they came into the world, they began integrating, feeding, and reproducing until eventually, curses became a normalcy in the world. Almost like a disease, one without a cure.
Curses bound themselves to a fragile host, taking on a parasitic relationship until they eventually assumed full control. Using their power, they shred the world, devouring everyone within until...
A team was created, a group of individuals who had successfully resisted the influence of the curses that latched onto them, retaining the powers the curses brought. They were named "Wraiths."
And to this day, the ongoing conflict between the Curses and Wraiths continues, however when it seemed humanity had the upper hand... Another portal opened.
