"So increasing its size only made it faster... monster's physiology is messed up...!"
Viria gulped down his saliva, massaging his ear while slowly inching closer, keeping an eye on the pile of debris that the giant mole-rabbit unintentionally burrowed itself under.
He honestly got scared by the speed and power showcased by the rare spawn, but still, the fear he felt was nowhere near enough to make him make a wrong decision and try to run.
Viria could tell the extent of his abilities, and he was completely sure that if he tried to run, the giant monster would end up catching up to him in no time at all.
Once the beast would be in the middle of its charge, the young man was fairly certain he would not manage to dodge it in time.
After all, he managed to survive only because he reacted BEFORE the attack was launched.
"..."
That said, the monster was awfully quiet and still.
It didn't burrow itself in the ground or anything – Viria could clearly see one of its hind legs sticking out from the pile of stones and dirt.
Judging by the position of said leg, the beast wasn't trying to use Viria's own surprise technique against him either...
*SHING*
Were there any other reasonable options that he could take?
For sure.
Still, Viria ended up slicing at the monster's tendons, cutting it apart cleanly to the point of gritting the blade of his prison shiv against the monster's bone...
"SCWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEGHHHHHHHHH!"
*RUMBLE*
Something like that was bound to cause a reaction as long as the monster wasn't dead or unconscious – and judging by the bloodcurdling screech and the debris being thrown everywhere because of the giant mole abbit's wild flailing, neither state was the case when it comes to the rare spawn.
"Don't look at me like that. I would have punched you, but I would surely break my hand if I tired."
Viria forced a smile upon his face and shrugged his shoulders, wiping off the blood from the fresh cut that the flying rocks hitting his forehead caused.
"SCWEEEEEEEEE-eerghgrghrghrgh...!"
The monster roared, but then something else gushed out of its maws instead of the baritone screech – a copious amount of blood.
"S-Scweeghrghrghrgh...!"
The monster tried to take a breath and repeat the screech, but this time blood filed its mouth even faster, not allowing it to make a sound.
"...oh...?"
Viria raised his brows, ready to either strike, defend, or dodge at any moment just in case.
*SPLURT*
"Scweeeghrgheeeegherghrgehr...!"
Then, blood squirted out from the wound that Viria's original sneak attack inflicted, and the rare spawn mole rabbit let out a much more pitiful noise as it trembled on its feet and faltered.
The blood was gushing out of its mouth, the wounded throat, and the sliced-up hind leg.
And wasn't just some dripping – it was literally gushing out as if some force was putting pressure on the creature's inside and pushing the essential fluid out of its body.
"Oooohhhh~!"
Viria straightened his back, letting down his guard, and looked at the unassuming soul artifact in his hand.
[Prison shiv (mole-fox bone) – middle grade soul artifact – it can break but can be remade from any kind of trash in your possession.

???]
the dialogue window with the description showed up within his vision without fail, and the young man's eyes immediately found the skill that was the answer to the question of what in the world was happening to the giant mole rabbit.
"Now I completely understand why this ability pushed it up to the middle rank. This is vicious!"
Viria grinned in ave, no longer feeling threatened by the monster that was getting weaker with each passing second.
"Scwerghrghrghhh...!"
*THUMP*
The pained cry of the rare spawn monster was followed by it falling onto its knees and then its robust side.
It was still alive for the moment, but definitely not for long.
"..."
Viria eyes meet the gaze of the monster with its life flickering out like a flame of a dying candle
It opened and closed its mouth but no sound escaped it. It was only blood trying to find another way out.
*SPLURT*
Then, the beast twitched and a ridiculous amount of red liquid was spilled out at once.
The next moment, the creature's eyes flashed white and the beast stiffened – dead.
"Status effects such as bleeding are ridiculously overpowered. Do not get bitten by a mole-fox. Noted."
Viria nodded to himself, breathing out in relief and crouching down to regain his composure.
It might have seemed like by the end he was already relaxed, but only with his opponent dead, the young man felt the level of adrenaline coursing through his veins dropping.
Letting himself only a minute or two of a break, Viria crouched by the fallen opponent and started carving.
The first priority was to check for the monster core...
"...tsk..."
...that didn't crystalize this particular specimen, to Viria's great dissatisfaction.
The next step was to get a hold of the bones from the ridiculously powerful hind legs of the rare spawn mole-rabbit.
That alone took a long time.
"SCWEEE!"
Long enough for a new mole-rabbit to show up, lured in by the smell of an easy meal.
The creature let out a bloodthirsty squeal, seeing a human fully focused on the giant carcass in front of him.
*THUMP*
The common spawn beast lowered itself to the ground and unleashed its mad charge...
"Can't you see...?"
But if it thought that it had an upper hand on Viria, the bloody-black-haired man's annoyed voice should be obvious enough ever for the simple beast.
Still, it wasn't like a mole-rabbit could change the direction of its charge in the middle of it, so even when the monster's target stood up and winded up for a left straight, the creature merely opened its mouth wider.
*WHAM* *CRUNCH* *CRUSH*
Viria's fist met the mole-rabbit's snout and then stopped the monster's charge right in its track – together with breaking the beast's neck spine and pushing its head into its ribcage.
