"The human then flies into a frenzy. Finally, the person either kills himself or everyone around him. Mages don't get affected by the Element of Darkness since their bodies and minds are stronger than humans. But that Element against a Light Mage would be a secured victory."
I thought for a moment about the next move. Right now, there was a giant gap between us. It was only a matter of time before Bryan leaps into action again. The Slayer was still trying to burn off the frost on his legs. And suddenly, a lightbulb appears at the top of my head.
I did a quick scan within my head to find the specific skill I needed and locked it onto my blade. The Words Of the World mentioned the Element Of Darkness being an umbrella term for all spells using the Darkness Element. Thus, I was going to pull out that Element.
"Notice. Are you sure to lock on the Elements; Necrosis and Dread? In addition, you have linked your blade with the skills of Frenzy and Inferno," asked the voice.
Yes! My heart started pumping like crazy as I felt the Elements consume the blade. The sword in my hands was heavy as more Elemental Energy poured into it. Bryan noticed something was off and prepared for the next clash.
"I sever the bonds between relationships and induce the darkness into the weapon I hold. The feeling of dread and despair clouds my vision and power..." I chanted, holding my sword in an upright position.
A large explosion of purple and orange Elemental Energy came out of my blade as I slowly raised it above my head. Bryan flinched as he felt the uproar of power despite the long battle.
"Oblivion and Inferno's Might!" I shouted, bringing the blade down.
"Cetus, Stars of the Whale!" yelled Bryan, quickly throwing up more marbles.
This time, the marble formed a whale-shaped vision made out of water. Again, a tidal waterfall emerged from the whale's mouth, clashing with the large explosion of Darkness and flames. But because the Element of Necrosis was at play, Bryan's Cetus started to fail.
I never knew the Element was that dominant, enough to affect the power of the stars and water. And with Frenzy being added onto the attack, it would mean that I could unleash that move a few more times. But I knew Bryan wasn't so easily defeated.
Using several shields to block the waters, the Slayer bashed through the remnants of the spell to get to me. We clashed with our weapons once more as the two spells dispersed. I smiled as I placed my freehand onto the back of my blade. The weapon started to glow in dark purple.
"Oblivion's Garrison," I said.
The blade started to shake violently as a long wall of Darkness appeared in front of the blade. This sudden appearance of a mirage wall repelled Bryan backward, forcing him to fly into the dense forest and slamming into a tree. I flinched for him as I saw the tree break.
"Hm... This spell must be overpowered to use in a match like this... Hopefully, he isn't too angry..." I murmured, retracting the spell.
Before I could get closer to help him, the Slayer sprung back into action and released another one of the eighty-eight constellations. I could feel that the one Bryan was using wasn't the main twelve, so I wasn't too worried about countering it.
"Symbol of the Mad Dog, an animal given for the hunt of Centaurus," chanted Bryan, clashing with me as I held up my sword.
Hang on, why was the man using an incantation while still clashing with me? I tried backing away from the Slayer, but he was quicker than me. I was forced into a corner as Bryan pulled back one of the scythes to my spine. I instantly crouched and used my blade to sweep his legs.
The man jumped up with such violence the ground underneath him shattered. I quickly lost my balance but needed to get out of the area. I tumbled out, much to the Slayer's surprise. He was alright with it as he landed on the other side of the arena.
I was still wary since Bryan hasn't unleashed the constellation yet, only having half of its incantation called. It was then I noticed his Elemental Energy was pouring into a single scythe since that blade was shining bright in gold. Before anything else, we clashed again.
This time, Bryan used one blade to attack and the other one to defend. Up until now, the guy was using two blades to attack at once and used offensive attacks to counter my attacks. Now, I was worried because that meant he changed tactics, and I no longer could predict his movements.
