CHAPTER 37: FEMZI'S TRUE FEELINGS

"Girl, do you have to make trouble every time," Damon said facepalming.

"Listen, it's for your good. Come over here" Femzi motioned and held her hand and they disappeared to his domain.

"This is the only place where I can say secrets and those people won't know anything about it," Femzi said whispering.

Damon suddenly felt a sinking feeling.

'What is wrong with me ' Damon thought to himself.

"I'm not feeling too good, "Damon said, surprised Jia.

" Hm? You're a phantom. You can't get sick "Jia said puzzled.

" But I feel a weird sinking feeling " Damon explained.

"I'm not a doctor" Jia retorted making Damon facepalm again.

"How?" Jia asked Femzi.

"Oh, this place is hidden by a special array I got a while ago by a stroke of luck" Femzi explained.

"Ok. Spill" Jia replied.

"You see those guys, they're like the representatives of the monster races. The top of the top. They wield a lot more power than you think" Femzi explained.

"You are a human vampire. You don't know this, but the vampires don't recognize Human vampires as a race. You're going to get yourself killed" Femzi continued

"You say they wield a lot of power. So, if I refuse to go to the divine trials, they might use you to threaten me or get me killed so, it's death either way" Jia countered.

"That's true," Femzi concluded.

"But I have a little trick. I won't tell you for now. How did you even get to know them anyway" Jia said.

'This is not good 'Damon thought to himself.

He felt very uncomfortable.

"That treacherous vampire lord lied to me. He made me leave my family, telling me he had a better place. He took advantage of me just because I didn't want to agree with Dad's decision" Femzi said his voice laced with hatred.

"Can't you just leave?" Jia asked.

"That's the problem. You simply can't, unless that boss dies. Another problem is that nobody knows who he is or what he looks like." Femzi answered.

Jia sucked in a cold breath.

" I hate them. All they did was use me. I'm sure you should have noticed that this whole underworld's missions are all because of them" Femzi continued

"Either way, I'm going to accept the position. I am going to infiltrate the ranks. The difference between life and death is just a thin line and I'll make them dance on it" Jia said casually.

"Do you have a plan?" Femzi asked cautiously.

Jia held his hand.

"It's okay. I have a plan but leave that to me " Jia said with a glint in her eyes.

"Thank you," Jia said walking away.

"Now I feel better," Damon said.

"What is wrong with you?" Jia asked confused.

"I'm planning on going back to the dungeons soon," Jia said.

"If you want to go, you can at least manage to survive in there," Damon said with a wink.

"System, Can I give you a name," Jia asked.

[No. You have bad naming skills] It replied bluntly.

Jia facepalmed

She made an array at the entrance of her room to ensure security.

"Girl, you're smart " Damon praised.

Jia rolled her eyes.

She sat down to cultivate for the whole day.

Jia smiled.

Jia pondered for a while, several thoughts running through her mind.

She brought out her subordinates.

"We're going to the divine trials soon," Jia said casually.

They nodded in acknowledgment.

Jia returned them.

Damon secretly came out and rested on Jia's shoulder.

"What are you doing," Jia asked.

"Nothing," he said going back in

"What's going on with you these days," Jia asked perplexed.

"System, I want to do a skill transfer to my subordinates," Jia told the system.

[Just make contact with the subordinate and think of the skill] The system replied.

Jia took out Liyu and made contact with him.

She gave him the Alpha strike and the art of poison.

"Thank you, master," he said with a lifeless expression.

"Do you want this body?" Jia asked Damon.

"No" Damon replied coldly.

" Why? "Jia asked.

" It's a dead thing " Damon replied casually.

"We'll find you one," Jia said with a nod.

Jia gave Feng the scorpion poison gas

Jia nodded.

"You're all stacked up," Jia said with a lazy smile.

"Jia!" Elizabeth called out.

Jia's face lit up in a faint smile.

Damon stared in confusion.

"Hey, how are you doing?" Jia asked.

"I'm good. Wow! You've gotten so powerful. Kalee is jealous" Elizabeth said with a giggle.

Jia smiled.

"What level are you now?" Jia asked curiously.

"Level 18" Elizabeth replied.

'She's talented ' Jia thought to herself.

"Here, take these" Jia said throwing her 5 Qi gathering pills.

"These are pills. They'll help you to level up" Jia said with a wink.

Elizabeth was shocked.

"Thank you," she said with a big smile.

She gave Jia a big hug which made Jia wince.
