Making Friends

After getting to know which class I will study in. I returned with the rest kids to the orphanage as the academy will start in a week. laying on the bed. I started to think about my meeting with Hiruzen and the more I review his movements, his eyes, and words the more uneasy I felt.

it's like my guts telling me the Hokage is not who he appears to be and my brain is saying he was just an incompetent fool in the series. Well, it doesn't matter for now and I just have to keep my guard up. A couple of hours later and it's lunchtime, so I go down to eat, taking my plate from a 30ish average-looking man, and find a seat to eat.

To my dismay, most of the seats are occupied and only a few are empty. Looking around I find Minato eating with the seat in front of him. Now that the Hokage knows of my talent I decided to befriend Minato. Going up to him I ask "may I sit here" while thinking what is this sense of deja vu.

looking up from his plate Minato cracks a smile before cheekily replying "I don't own the seats or tables so you don't have to ask for permission."

"haha you sure are a funny brat," I say sarcastically while taking a seat.

"haha we are the same age so if i am a brat then what are you" he replies with a glint in his eyes expecting me to mess up my words. Unfortunately for him, I watched and read enough in my past life to know how to answer his question.

"What you see in front of you is a handsome young man eating his food Brat" I reply while putting emphasis on the word brat. We talked for some time before he askes me " how about we have a spar Fuji-san".

"hoh and what makes you think am strong enough to fight with you," I say amusingly

" I don't know how but I can feel it, you are strong maybe even stronger than me," He says seriously.

"OK follow me" afterward I walk out of the orphanage with him following behind. Once am out of the gate. I sprint towards the forest with him following behind. Slowly increasing my speed to test his limit, this continues until I can feel him barely keep up with about mid genin level speed. 'he only trained for two years without a mentor and he is already capable of such speeds is beyond monstrous'.

After a minute or two we reached a clearing in the forest. Looking behind me I can see Minato barely holding on for dear life as he is greatly sucking in gulps after gulps of air 'it seems he doesn't have much stamina currently' ." We will spar after half an hour so stabilize your breathing and get ready" I say before going under the shade of a tree. The protagonist's father nods then he does the same as me and sits under the shade of a tree cross-legged trying to regain his lost stamina.

While we are resting, I suddenly felt the same tingly feeling while invisible waves moved around the training ground.' it seems the Hokage is interested in our little spar' Looking over to Minato I can see him put up his relaxed guard before shaking his head and relaxing his guard once more.'Incredible the fact that he is capable of sensing space movement shows his talent in it but currently, it's too weak, Once the war begins his spacial sensing will improve by leaps and bounds'

Finally standing after half an hour I walk to the middle of the field before calling Minato with my finger. Complying he stands up before standing 7 feet away and taking a familiar taijutsu stance. ' It seems he read 'taijutsu for dummies' book'.

deciding to mess with him I sarcastically say " What type of stance is this did you study it from a book for dummies". Looking at his face I can see him blush in embarrassment and removing his battle stance to explain himself.

Before he can utter a word I directly appear in from of him and punch him in his stomach." lesson number one never let your guard down if I was an enemy you would have already died". Getting up with some difficulties while holding his stomach Minato's face gradually becomes serious as he realized he is not on the same level as me.

Once more he takes a taijutsu stance made for close combat. inspecting his stance I can see that he mastered it nicely and there are no big openings. Taking a similar stance but more advanced on. I decided to test him and said " come I will give you the first hit as it will probably feel like a bee sting with your earlier performance".

I can see him get angry but not enough to lose his composure. Wanting to test his limits "Whats wrong did my earlier hit make you scared, what a weakling you are to propose a spar but when you get hit you are afraid of even moving" I said disappointingly while shaking my head.

Finally losing his composure Minato losses his cool as he jumps like a mad tiger at me with the intent to punch me in the face. Keeping my promise I let his punch hit me but to negate the damage his punch will do I moved my neck at the same speed as his punch and in the same direction. So although he punched me it didn't even cause an outa of damage. While at the same time I punched him in the solar plexus as his guard went down thinking he won with the earlier punch.

Feeling the pain and getting flung in the air before crashing harshly down onto the ground. The Fourth Hokage gasps in pain as he looks up at me." you are still inexperienced, never lose your composure in battle, and never underestimate your opponent just because you got a hit in, you can only let your guard down when you made sure your enemy is dead"

Walking up to him I extend my hand for him. As he takes it " It was fun let's do it sometime later, now we need to return to the orphanage"

Smiling and nodding his head The ever-cheerful Minato simply says " Okay that a promise and thank you for teaching me"
