Reborn as Toji Fushiguro

​​It was like I woke up from a bad dream... The last thing I remembered was getting stabbed, and then feeling colder and colder. I awoke from my deep slumber with only one thing in mind.

PAIN

That's all I could feel, it was as if something inside of me was being taken away. Something that was important to me, the coldness from death felt as though it was embracing me. I tried my hardest to fight it, but the pain never went away. What I presume was months passed, and still the pain never ceases. Over the past couple of months I've been trying to reflect on why I was brought to this hell, and looking back on it I had a pretty hard life. Born into poverty, no parents, most of my friends killed, I was just dealt a shitty hand, but I made the best out of it.

My thoughts were diverted when I saw an opening in the dark void I had been floating around in. I tried to will my body to the opening, and I could feel something urging me to it. I felt something grab me and was pulled out. A cold air hit me and for some reason I had the sudden urge to sob, and I did. I wailed and wailed.

I opened my eyes and at first things were blurry but then as everything became clearer I saw what looked like a maid taking me away. I tried to stay awake but soon fell asleep.

7 hours later

News had spread to most of the jujutsu world that a child with not a single drop of cursed energy was born in the Zenin family. This caused the zenin family's reputation to fall a little bit, as it was seen as a disgrace for a noble family to birth such a failure.

While news was spreading of this across the jujutsu world, inside the zenin clan mansion an important discussion was going on. Inside the room there were three men. One was an old man happily drinking bottles of whiskey, he was wearing a brown yukata that didn't hide his clearly well built body, he was the clan head Naobito. The second was an old man who had long black hair tied up into a ponytail, and was visibly stressed. His name was Ogi. The third was a lot younger and had a gruff bear, a large frame and appeared to be in his early 20's, his name was Jinchi.

"Ogi why did you call us all here? You know I don't like having my time wasted."

"I'm aware Naobito, but I believe we should do something about the boy."

"Are you talking about my useless brother? He has no cursed energy, and is newborn it matters not how physically gifted he'll never be considered a true zenin."

Naobita silently agreed as he drank more. Although he was drinking he noticed something clearly off with Ogi, he seemed to be sweating, and was tapping his fingers on the ground anxiously.

Naobito smirked "Ogi... Don't tell me you're scared of the boy?"

Ogi's face paled and his eyes sank ever so slightly, but for master sorcerers like Jinchi and Naobita it was clear as day. They burst into laughter, completely perplexed at how a special grade 1 sorcerer was afraid of a newborn baby.

Ogi grimaced as he tried to soothe the rage in the building within him. He knew that he couldn't take Naobito nevertheless the less Naobito and Jinchi.

"You don't understand the boy... Somethings off about-"

"Enough Ogi! I'm tired of hearing this nonsense. I'm taking my leave!"

Naobito and Jinchi left the room leaving Ogi to his own devices. Ogi's pale face sank even more as he started visibly shaking. They don't understand, why won't they listen... Ogi thought back to when he went to see the boy.

I walked into the chamber where they were keeping Toji. I'd heard he was born with a heavenly restriction that eliminated all of his cursed energy. Tch what a waste!

As I entered the dimly lit room that was reminiscent of a dungeon with 3 candles lighting up the room, and the only piece of furniture was a crib with Toji. I walked to the crib only to see Toji wide awake and his piercing green eyes stare at me intensely. It felt as though he could see right through me, as if he knew what was happening and wasn't just a newborn.

I started laughing to myself did I really just get scared by a baby. As I turned around leaving the room. I felt chills on my back as if something was breathing on me, I quickly turned around ready to fight the intruder only to see Toji laying there eyes still fixed on me, but this time when our eyes met I saw something no, I felt it to the very core of my being. The one thing I feared most...

My death...

//Toji Pov//

As this old man looked at me with clear contempt and disappointment in his eyes, I felt rage swell up within me. His face looks exactly like my fathers, that scumbag of a human being. The one who left me for dead on the streets and the one I later killed.

As I stared more and more at him the resemblance became more and more clear and my mind became more and more foggy. I could only imagine myself killing him. It was as if I lost my sanity. I just wanted to kill him. I wished for it more than anything in the world.

He started to walk away, but as his back turned my anger grew until I could almost feel my rage somehow suffocate him when he suddenly turned and our eyes met.

That's when I saw it, almost as if it had really happened... And I knew he could see it too.

A vision of me covered in blood holding his head sitting on his dead body...

What we learned:

Toji's past life was no cake walk, and although he seems to be calm considering how he handled the situation of being in pain months during his birth, he also seems to have anger problems. Having a will so strong that he was able to make a Grade 1 sorcerer see his own death, so he is clearly not any normal individual.
