Chapter 11- An astonishing beauty

King's Cotton. That was the second herb Vincent needed for that mysterious quest. Dropping items after dying with a white name was rare, now imagine drop the exact herb Vincent wanted. That was truly lucky. He couldn't understand why did that player possessed the King's Cotton anyway, perhaps they knew something?

"Bullshit. It's impossible," Vincent thought.

Now that he had two of the herbs, he immediately ran towards the Moonlight Forest. That was an level 5 area, so Vincent didn't encounter any player. Most of them were at the level 1 and 2 areas.

The road that lead to the forest was muddy. Vincent couldn't see much because of how dense the vegetation was. Light could barely pass through it. The last herb he needed was called Moon Betty. It was small but hard to miss as it shined just like the moon.

This time the task wouldn't be so easy. That area had monsters at the same level as him, and above. He couldn't just rush like some madman unafraid of dying. He had to be cautious.

Small steps through the jungle. The smell of dirt and animals entered Vincent's nostrils. It was like living at a countryside area. Bugs flew now and then, hitting his face as they passed. The majority of monsters inside that forest were plant monsters, which gave Vincent a slightly advantage as he was a Fireball only user at that moment. There were some rumors that centaurs were hidden in that forest, but none player had ever found one. Perhaps the player that completed the Hidden Quest would have some information about that, but if he did, he never shared it in Vincent's previous life. Well, Vincent would find out anyway.

2 hours passed and Vincent finally found the Moon Betty. He also killed some monsters while looking for it. It still needed a lot to level up as the XP required to level up increased by a lot.

Now he had the three necessary herbs. Vincent knew that the quest would trigger automatically after acquiring the herbs. There wasn't much to do except kill more monsters, so Vincent did just that.

[Thorned Vine (Level 5) ]

A monster with vines as tentacles. Pretty common in that forest.

The Thorned Vine whipped in Vincent's direction, crushing everything in its path. Vincent side stepped, dodging it. In that moment he wished he had blink and more offensive spells.

Casting his only spell after dodging, Fireball. The temperature rose and a ball of flames was shot towards the Thorned Vine.

[62 DMG]

That was a lot of damage. It wasn't as strong as shooting the players, now Vincent didn't have the bonus DMG from level advantage. Every time Vincent had ended with one Fireball, but now it wasn't the case, so stalled the monster until his Fireball came out of cooldown.

Vincent continued to do the same. Cast a spell, stall and then cast it again. That low level monsters didn't need a well thought strategy to take down.

[Loot All]

The Thorned Vine only dropped copper coins but Vincent always grabbed every thing. He also turned on the auto loot option that way he would loot everything right after killing the monster.

When he was almost reaching level 6, the magical deer appeared. Vincent was astonished by how marvelous it was. It had a vivid green color, his body filled with strange patterns, like those of a shaman. The deer had some sort of aura, and Vincent was drawn to it.

Man and beast walked together through the forest. Vincent noticed that they didn't encounter any monsters. That deer seemed to be avoiding them easily. After walking for half an hour, they arrived at a huge tree. For a moment Vincent thought that the deer would hit the wall, but that didn't happen. It just walked towards the huge tree and vanished. Vincent followed along doing the same.

"There is a invisible entrance here. I would never found it," Vincent thought while moving his hand through it to make sure he wouldn't just hit his nose like a clown.

After entering, Vincent noticed that it seemed like a house. There was a small bed, a desk, a dinner table, basically everything a normal house had. The deer was standing at the middle of the room staring at him. And then something that Vincent didn't expect happened.

The magical deer turned into a beautiful lady. She had a green hair that shined with the ambient lights. A well proportioned body, and her eyes could take a man's soul out

"Hello stranger. I'm Seraphine."

[Seraphine (Level ???)]

"Hhhh... Hi."
