Chapter 10- Extermination

There were about 15 players looking for Vincent in that area. He knew that eventually they would find him, so he had to find a way out of there. Unfortunately, there wasn't. The cave only had one passageway, if Vincent tried to escape, everyone would notice. The only thing left for him was to camp out, wait for them to find him, and shot Fireballs at every single player.

It was a good strategy in the end. Only one player could use the passageway at a time, and it was impossible to fight back while in there. They would be living targets. The only problem was that Vincent didn't know if his mana would be enought. Vincent's Wisdom was high, so his mana regen and mana pool were vast, if you combine that with his Tear Ring, perhaps it could work. He also had a couple of beginner's mana potion to use if needed.

"This will probably work. But after killing all of them my name will be dark red. I can lose all of my items if I end up dead."

In Rise, if you killed one player, your name would turn into red. Having a red name meant that guards and other npcs could attack you, and you would drop more items after being killed. There was also the XP loss. Eventually after killing tons of players, one would lose everything. Vincent didn't want that. His Tear Ring and Grimmoire were quite good for that level, so losing them would slow down his plans.

The only thing Vincent could think was to complete that Hidden Quest as quickly as possible. That shape-shifting skill was legendary.

As the lore said, Moonlight Forest had been the home of elves, and elves were experts in magic. One of the unique schools of magic created by the elves was the transformation school, its adepts were called Druids. The shape-shifting skill that Vincent was after was truly awesome. One could turn into any animal, hiding all of his information, useful to run or espionage others. The spell could also change your character appearance and even name. It was actually too overpowered. Some say that after reaching a high mastery with that spell, one could turn into a Dragon, but not even the owner of the spell in Vincent's previous life had achieve that.

It was not just the appearance, one would turn truly into the animal, having its strength.

Two hours passed, and finally one of the players found out the passageway leading to the cave.

"Hey boss. I think I've found some hidden location." a Cleric said.

"Hahaha good job Johnnie," a man wearing a plate armor said, tapping the Cleric's back.

"Now, which of you will go first?" the leader didn't want to go first. Who knew what could be lurking inside, so he sent someone else. The poor Cleric who found the passageway had to pay the price.

"Calm down Johnnie. I'm sure there's nothing in there," one of the players said.

Johnnie had only accepted that task because there was a chance that The Seer wasn't even there, and maybe a treasure chest would be awaiting for him inside.

The Cleric walked slowly, with his back facing the wall. When he was almost getting inside the cave, a huge Fireball was sent into his direction. He didn't even had a chance to react, dying instantly...

[You received 163 DMG]

[You were killed by The Seer]

[XP loss]

[No items lost]

These were the last things Johnnie saw before turning into dust and vanishing.

Everyone saw that scene from afar, and they knew that The Seer had to be in there.

"All right boys let's go. He is in there. He definitely doesn't have enough mana to kill all of us, so just keep going."

A stream of players were trying to reach that cave. They looked like crazy. Vincent laughed within.

"Haha I do have mana to kill all of you. Please come for me."

Just like that, every player who attempted to reach the cave died. That same message every time. No one had been able to endure more than one Fireball. The three levels advantage and the items Vincent had were too overbearing.

"Damn it. How does this guy have so much mana?" shouted the leader from behind. He had a friend who was also a mage and he didn't have that much mana.

"DAMN IT THE SEER. YOU HAVE WON THIS TIME BUT JUST YOU WAIT. I'LL KILL YOU," the leader shouted. But before he could do anything, all the players who died helping him started to ask for compensation... XP Loss... Items...

"AAAAGGRRR" he yelled once again in frustration. In the mean time, Vincent was truly happy.

"No way this random player had the other herb I needed, hahaha. Now I only need to go to the Moonlight Forest, get the last herb and the hidden quest. I'm simply the best..."

And once again, The Seer shocked the forums with his strength...
