"Grandpa! I'm sorry… I didn't tell you about my father earlier." Rose's voice was barely audible, but Edward Spencer, who was sitting so close to her, could hear it clearly. The corners of his lips lifted slightly to form a friendly smile.
"Little Rose, no worries. Grandpa can understand. Don't feel guilty because it's not your fault, my dear…" Edward gently taps the top of her hair, and then he turns his gaze toward Nicholas. "This is his fault! How could he hide you and your mother from me?" His tone sounded annoyed.
Rose felt sorry to see her father being scolded.
"Grandpa, this is not my father's fault. Well, if you want to blame someone, blame God! He messes with my mom and dad's life…" There's a wave of anger in her words that could make Nicholas shocked.
How could his daughter hate God so much? Had she suffered so much until she held a deep hatred toward God?
