The Emilia camp alongside the Unified Lugunican Defense Force are locked in a fierce battle with the Witch Cult and the raging Witch of Envy, when Satella launches an enormous Yin Magic outburst, which engulfs Subaru and seemingly everything else. Subaru thinking he has to redo everything is shocked to see that he hasn't gone back to his checkpoint but seems to be standing in an unkown city with all of his beloved companions. Before Subaru could say anything he hears a voice proclaim: "Unique Skill - Curse of The Witch and Unique Skill: Sin Slayer acquisition complete."
